ok im a wing with just2clean rom with internet share its my only isp but its all the way in living room while im in my room 30ft usb cord anyway abought every 30 minits to an our activesync starts back up on my wing and if i dont catch it in time dissconects me its done this with every rom and im tired of it could someone tell me how to stop activsync while im on the net a cab or reg. tweek any help would be greatly apreceated

A possible fix for GPRS problems.
I have noticed that if I boot my Alpine into “safe mode” provided by the new SPB Pocket Plus, my GPRS works great. Normally I would have a problem of the GPRS only working after a fresh reboot and then not connect a second time unless I was really lucky.
I deleted the reg key, [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\CallerID] and it seems to work fine now.

Well I got a GPRS problem to, but I think I found a solution.
I must disconnect the GPRS connection BEFORE to switch the mobile off. If not, I cannot reconnect as you...

A while ago I upgraded my ROM, and didn't install all that crap at the first boot. GPRS was working fine after that, so I thought it was the upgraded ROM. The other day I formatted it again, but let it install everything. GPRS was having that "reconnecting for the second time" issue... So I knew it had something to do with some of that software... but which? I wasn't feeling like formatting it again...
anyway, I'm trying this, and see if it works for me.

When i want to connect GPRS network on my htc touch diamond, my phone connect EDGE instead of gprs and the E icon show on taskbar !
and ther is no internet.

I've been happily using my Tilt on mMode for a few weeks now, but one thing has been bugging me... I can't get the OZ IM plugin to work. Every time I try launching AIM or YIM I get a message that it can't connect using WiFi.
There's no way to configure the connections, so how can I fix this?
OZ I.M. only works on the phone network-not wi-fi.
I dumped it becuz of that.

disable/enable proxy
AllowLSP registry entry
firewall settings
home and work networks
wired and wireless connections
and I still cannot get the WM6 device to connect to the internet through my XP PC when it is connected via activesync.
Does someone have the silver bullet perfect solultion?

i installed Dutty's Rom and that fixed the dillema, before i was not able to fix it, didn't matter what i tried.
I've been unable to solve this as well on my stock Tilt. I'm not really thrilled about flashing a new rom (I'd no doubt brick the little bugger).
It would be nice to know what's blocking the connect, though.
If you're AT&T you need to run the disable proxy cab to connect to internet usin A/Sync.
....and three seconds later, that worked (I've been tinkering around all moring trying to solve that).

Finally! It is hard to type as I jump up and down. The remove proxy cab worked!
So now the question, what doesn't work when the proxy is removed? Looks like at&t video and medianet pages don't work and weather on the HTC home screen.
On my Kaiser the remove proxy cab didn't work..What else can I do to use my xp's internet connection?

i have the opposite problem - i want my tilt to NOT connect through the PC and to use MediaNET instead (because we block streaming media at work)
however i find that when the phone is usb connected to my PC i get no internet at all.
can anyone advise?

A big thank you to all that helped me in the past Im sure I was a pain in the ass, damn internet sharing worked the whole time I had it ..Its that I have to turn it on FIRST then plug the usb up to the laptop on my computer sorry guys

Worked great with my T-Mobile SDA with WM6 upgrade. Talked to my laptop via USB. Actually my EDGE connection with this link seemed like "dial up" speeds
anyone got any thoughts??? when i plug my usb in it USED to pop up and give me the choice for Activesync OR Internet sharing but thats stopped working and i cant get it to pop up anymore and i cant sync as it keeps going straight to internet shareing Grrrr any way to force sync to work???? or has anyone else had this problem?? i have been looking on here for the last three and a quater hours and im going bong eyed any one??? please help
