Accessing DOT.TUNES from TD - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hi,
Is anyone using DOT.TUNES (a web server publishing your iTunes music collection http://www.dottunes.net ) from the TD?
I use DOT.TUNES from at browser a work and that works well - however being able to use DOT.TUNES from my TD would be amazing.
Opera as well as IE on the TD will display the webpages provided by DOT.TUNES but will not play any music.
I have seen a flash player mentioned - but I cannot figure our how to set it up
Has anybody tried to access DOT.TUNES from the TD (or any other WM6/6.1 device)?
- Tom

Getting Streaming Video or Audio

I haven't been able to get any audio or video streams to work on the kaiser. I have tried both IE and Opera. With my treo 750 windows media player would open and the stream would begin. With the kaiser, I get a message re: save or open stream. Neither selection works. Any thoughts?
Bump please. I can't figure this out.
Pocket Player will stream .pls and other formats as well as wma. I found that the best way to do it is to set up PP as the default device associated with all media types (omfg I wish I could uninstall WMP). Then maneuver to the streaming link on your mobile browser (dito for Opera over PIE) and click on the streaming link and PP should open and pick it up. Works like a dream.
I always use KCRW to test streaming capability - it's the most reliable and stable I have found (not to mention it's also an awesome station...). Click on the "Listen" link and then look for the "Stand Alone Player" links. I prefer mp3 streams.
Hope this helps.

Whitch player to use for opening RTP network streams?

Whitch player to use for opening RTP network streams?
I just finished testing the new Coreplayer v1.2
That is the only app that supports RTP & RTSP streaming and works (in my experience). See the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=370897
I have only done testing with the RTSP protocol, but since it is quite similar to RTP, you should have the same results as I had with the apps.
In one of my anwsers is a list of apps that support network streaming. You can test these apps.
But I can confirm that Coreplayer v1.2 was the only one to support my RTSP stream. I guess this will also apply to RTP streams.
I hope this was usefull...
When I tried to open RTP stream, it freezes
Is it an 'open' RTP server? Can I test and connect to it? (I can't find a e
server for testing at the moment)
Have you tried connecting over the PC (using VideoLAN for example) to the RTP server? Do you encounter any problems there?
If the RTP server is only accessible through your phone (via 3G for example), you might want to try and disable the hidden proxy. This possible fix was given by 'cushcalc' in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=370897. Though it wasn't relevant to that problem, it might be relevant to yours.
On our netwrok we can use streaming TV. I play it with VLC(SAP) . In information about program is IP like rtp://@233.10.47.70:1234 . So I tried connect my phone to the network across my notebook. Internet goes well but TV not.

mobile Streaming rstp

Hello the program "mobile Streaming" is preset with the rtsp://
I tried this one to stream rtsp://mobilstream.antenne.de/antenne.sdp and it fails allways to connect.
I thought the rstp is a real player thing. SO what exactly is the application mobile streaming try to do ? Anybody knows more about it ? IS this a real player aplication, and if so why not working if not why is it preset with rstp.
Thanks
I'm no geek but I think it may be all about the file being streamed.
I have had no problems with CorePlayer, HTC own Streaming Media and VLC.
One thing that I have been doing is emailing the stream info to my mobile from my PC and saving .pls files to the mobile.
The only thing I do with realplayer is to get live bbc london radio from the .ram, hope the above helps.
Your rtsp link just don't work. It's either firewall or a router problem, but not of the player.
What does the player do ?
Well it supports rtsp protocol to read H264/AAC (and maybe other) files.
Please note this has NOTHING to do with a real application.
These protocol and codecs are fully standarized, and are the most commonly used ones. (I'd say it's the only proper way to stream actually.)

[Q] DLNA Client App for Nook Color

Does anyone know any app that is the equivalent of or provides same functionality as "Archos Video" app or "Allshare" samsung app.
I am looking for something that is a DLNA client - has the ability to connect to home network DLNA server such as Tversity or Windows Media Player and play videos
I haven't tried it on my nook, but the app "Skifta" is a generic DLNA app ... available in the Market
EDIT: just realized you are looking for a client, not a server .... sorry ...

No Problem. Thanks for trying to help.
I'm still looking for the right combination of Server & Client. Here is my experience so far:
Mac OS DLNA Servers I'm testing (Twonky Server, Orb, Majestic, Playback, MediaLink). I want to stream Music, Movies and Photos from the iMAC/Server for playback ON the NC.
Twonky Mobile (not twonky Mobile Server) worked best for me. It played Movies, Music, and Photos from Twonky Server, Majestic, and Playback). I was only able to stream Music from the Orb server. My only complaint is the quality of playback is not consistant. But this may be caused by my WLAN bandwidth/coverage.
UPnPlayer worked as well. I did not care for the UI and playlist process. Also, it locked up when I tried to play/view photos. It played Movies and Music from Twonky Server, Majestic, and Playback). I was only able to stream Music from the Orb server.. The best thing about UPnPlayer is that it let's you choose which APP will actually Play the media (i.e. stock music player or Doubletwist, Stock Video or Rockplayer, etc.)
2Player - I was able to see all the Server applications. But it would not present the media folders from several for them. I was able to play music from Orb and Playback. The interface was my favorite, but too bad it just for music.
EML UPnP - I didn't like this one so I did not test it much. But it was able to see most of the Media Servers. Appeared to be Music only.
Hope this helps
I know therebis a WMC app as well as one for VLC.
Sent from my Rooted NC using Tapatalk
Thanks all for the suggestions. I got the nook color yesterday and its already rooted with 0.6.8 (froyo in emmc).
I will try the suggestions over the weekend.

[Q] .wmv Streams from web site

Hello,
Just recieved my woot.com gtablet today. Installed TNT Lite 4.4.0 on it. Browser is Dolphin HD 4.50.
For the past few hours ive been looking for a player that will play .wmv streams from a website (ex: click "newsvideo.wmv" on a website and a player opens to play it)
More specifically I am trying to get it to work with this one: etvnet(dot)com
The windows media player on the marketplace has bad reviews, so I'm hesitant to buy it.
If anyone could throw out a suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated
Seems like Moonlight/Silverlight could work on this website instead if I use the in browser player.
Anyone know of a Moonlight app / plugin that works on gtab?
