MMS Send/Receive Question - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hello,
I currently have no data plan on my phone and I was wondering if the MMS messages are stored on the server until you access. The reason I ask is I don't see a send/receive button like I had on my MDA and I never get any MMS when I finally turn my data on when I am expecting a message. Do the messages just delete themself if delivery is failed ?
Thanks for your help

NEED HELP w/ MMS !!!

MMS messages won't open/download.
Immediately after receiving a new MMS when I chose to download it tells me right away it is expired and ends up not downloading...
I searched through the settings and everything and don't know what to do...
Pretty desperate...
Thanks in advance!
Are you with ATT? If so, check your proxy or MMS server settings. Happened to me for a short period (2 days) until I realized the server settings had changed by itself.
Also, my experience was that I never could get those MMS. Once they were gone, they were GONE.

Alternate SMS/MMS App

Hi guys
I'm in the UK and I send a lot of MMS to the US as I don't get charged for sending them because it comes out of my data allowance. I'm finding the WM6.1 Arcsoft client a huge pain in the ass to work with when sending MMS Messages. Does anyone know of any other MMS client that I can use whether it's free or something I have to buy doesn't make a difference.
With the Arcsoft WM6 MMS if I send an MMS with text only it does annoying things like prompt you "this message has no media would you like to send it as text?" which gets annoying after the first 100 times...

Problems SMS

hi
i have the rom just2clean i unlocked my wing and i use it with AT&T. with that company when you send or receive a text message it shows you a notification on the screen that tells you your actual balance. the problem is that sometimes people send me a text, i get the notification but i dont get the sms. why do that happen?
before i changed the rom i did a pim backup with resco backup, but when i do the recovery procces only the contacts appear, the sms function in the phone stops working. how can i make a backup of the contacts and text messages and change my rom and get them again?
thank you
what everyone is using when mms isnt working is "arcsoft mms composer " find the cab.file and it should be you fix. it think it is in one of these threads.
ok
i was asking for regular texts not mms but thank you anyway

Can't send sms/mms but can receive.

I guess I'm just a noob when it comes to text messages...I use email. But unfortunately, my kids and most of my friends insist on it, so I've been forced to start using texts from time to time.
Problem is, I can't send for some reason...and after a few hours poking around the forums, I'm not finding anything to help me figure out why.
I'm using the Hyperdragon build in my sig with MMS composer v. 5.2.2.22, and I have a data connection with ATT.
When I send a message, I've tried adding a recipient manually, and by my contacts list, and when I send the message, all it does is go into my outbox and sit. I also get a copy of it in my inbox.
I've checked that the phone settings for the ATT MMS server is correct, with the correct number for text messages, but still nada.
I'm sure it's just a noob mistake, but I'm stumped. Any ideas?
peace,
Aielman

I've double checked all the settings. They're correct.
I'm connected to the 3G network, and can send email, browse web pages, make calls, etc. I can receive sms/mms justfine.
But for some reason I can't send.
It just sits in my outbox and I get a copy from "Me" in my inbox any time I send.

SMS MSGing and @email.com accout gets converted to MMS

To start off, i have used google.. and searched many strings.
I have also poked around with the settings on my phone.
Ok my issue is when i try to txt any email address my G1 tells me that its converting the message to MMS.. the problem is that i use an unlocked G1 without a data plan, so i cant use MMS messaging.
-this is not the same problem where "the message is over 3 messages long" and it gets converted to MMS-
Oh and sorry for my lame excuse for a thread title
