Okay, i usually use just the htc task manager. does the job. however, i like the battery status task manager b/c i can actually drop the task list down regardless what is open and what i am viewing. this enables me to switch through programs and such without having to go to my today screen beforehand. the only prob i have with battery status task manager is that the buttons are a bit small for finger function. anyone know if there is a task manager with "tab" style or switchable tasks with larger buttons and such?
thanks in advance
Handy Switcher is a good task manager with the functions you want..it costs $9.99, but there's a trial version you can check out...
Ok thanks! I'll check it out!
wkTask for me
This is exactly what Windows Mobile should behave like out of the box - just like a desktop. I love it (and it's free)!
Quick Menu is how I switch tasks. Much better Start menu too.
I've tried a lot of the different options out there, (free ones included) but I've come to like the Spb Pocket Plus versions the best. I mapped the context menu to "OK (hold)" button...

It also has a "alt-tab" feature I mapped to "Start (hold)" button...
With all the other features of Spb Pocket Plus, it's a good program worth the purchase price.

I'm aware of how the BA's BT disconnects after awhile but if I had an icon on my desktop the way WM 2003 SE would put it in the system tray it sure would help.
tia !
BT icon can be created by filling up the missing_files2 where u can download it from wiki. And you have to create startup icon to automatically load bt during startup
Here's the screenshot of bt icon

I like that start bar you have there candrat. Where you get that and how much does it cost?
Also was is missing_files2? Mind posting that link? I would like to get the power off button too like you down by the BT icon.
Edit:
Oh, what program are you using to grab Screen Shots of your Desktop? My older program [dotPocket Desktop] is not working anymore on WM5.
It's using Wisbar Advance 2, the BT icon you can download it from WM5 BlueAngel Problem Resolution Thread.
Short stupid question: How did you get that power button next to the bt button.
I have been looking for the button app to put it in start up. But I didn#t find it.
I also can't acces the windows folder via as4. And via spb pocket plus I can't make a shortcut...
Very strange!
you have to use psshutxp where you can download it free at http://www.pocketgear.com
Basically the message subject says it all... I have a bunch of things in the today screen but when I slide open the phone I want some to be hidden so there is no scrollbar on the side (really annoying)....
Is this possible and if so how do I do it??
Thanks.

You probably have large start menu installed.
Heres an image of what I am talking about.... I dont think its the start menu because when I am in landscape the start menu automatically creates a section called "more..." for the items that dont fit.

I think this may have something to do with the Quick launcher which has 5 icons for my pictures, task launcher, camera, music and phone.... this cant be seen in the image but is there a way to hide this program in landscape???? I dont see any options for this.
Thanks.
ADDITION: I was able to make this somewhat more tolerable by un-docking the HTC home plugin... still wish there was no scrolling though.
How?
Though SPB time has the option to disable the screensaver for particular programs it goes into the screensaver during phone calls. I do not see "phone" anywhere on the phone or list of programs inside SPB Time ... so how can I disable the screensaver during calls?
Is this what you have disabled? But you are saying the screen saver still comes on during a phone call?

Nope, different, see attached screen shots (especially the second one).
Question is basically what's the filename of the "phone" task to be added to the excluded file list.

Ok This idea came to me earlier today, sense 2.1 roms (Speedy ports) have a recently used apps bar in the notifications menu. Well I found a better use for it,
Instead of seeing the app you just closed why not display common everyday apps? e.g. phone, flashlight, facebook, twitter, camera. See that way you don't have to run around your UI to find what you want, It's simply a drag and drop away

}
The con is this.
Making the apks run in a list and then closing (background) constantly may effect you wanting to see your recently used apps (The one where you just long press home button and it displays) those apps the first 4 or so will be which ever default you have set up. any way I'm seeking some help with this I'm not new but nor am I marinated in sense feature modifying.
Any one interested?
also My current method an apk that opens and closes each app seems to cause issues (obviously) so I'm seeking help in doing the proper system edit to get this Modification up and running.

I am one of WPExtended fan, but I think it's kind of long task for or maybe others to enable one tweak by tapping to Settings then tap on wp extended, wait..., then scroll, and tap again. So I made this one simple WP app that does not require you to do all those.
Emma (Enable Media and Marketplace Access) does one simple function - it gives you an access to these Medias and Marketplace hubs while connected to Zune.
TAKE NOTE BEFORE USING
Please enable root access to this application by using Root Manager
Thanks alot nullstring,
this app is really helpful for me.
Great work. Faster and easier than other ways. Thanks so much.
unfortunately caused this error to me on 2 different laptops : Read Error The Zune software can't access important data on your Zune. Try disconnecting and reconnecting it
I didn't solve it after uninstalling..... Can you give me some hints on which registry key does your xap affect so that I can revert it manuall ?
Thanks
