Hello!
I'm new on this forum, as I'm new on Diamond stuffs. Didn't mean I doesn't have any knowledge about modiles. But, beside this and the search that I perform, let me ask:
The Motorola S9 Bluetooth headset works fine with Diamond? I know it's the phone have all profiles inside (A2DP, HSP, HDF and AVRCP) but I wanna read some experiences with.
Can I pick a call and still listen my music after drop the call? Everytihng works fine with this device? If yes, I'll buy it on saturday. Didn't not to mention the fact of Diamond headset be a worst piece of crap (IMHO!).
Please, forgive my terrible english and thanks for all your answers!
Hi,
Yes, everything works well with the Motorola S9. I use it every day. The only issue I have, and its been discussed elsewhere, is that the remote control for music only work with Media Player and the touchflow 3d music player.
DT
Works fine, although I do think that the audio quality is better with my moto v3maxx, but still far better than the Diamond headphones. I think i saw a mod somewhere for those headphones, to wipe out the static.
note if you get the S9, try looking for the S9 HD, it wipes out static on any phone.
They took so long with the S9 HD. They announced them several months ago and they're still not out; have to wait till Q4 for them :\.

Hmmm... I'm not a Windows user; I use a Macbook to sync my stuffs with Diamond. That's my point: my music stills in M4A format, so... only the Pocket Player (from Conduits) is capable to play them with all tags correctly displayed.
Should this program works with S9? And I didn't see the HD to sale on my country (Brazil).

Works excelent for me...
I got an official Spanish ROM...
Marcos,
I live in Brazil too and I have a S9. Be very careful where you buy it from, because most of what is sold is fake.
I bought mine from EBay, and it costed US$ 105 shipped. If you find it for much less than that (< US$ 70) it's probably fake.
Ask the seller if it comes with a hologram wrapped around it, because the original one does.
Now about the Diamond don't know, I use my S9 with my Motorola A1200. I didn't buy a Diamond yet because I'm waiting for Touch Pro.

US$ 105 ? That's pretty expensive for such a pair of A2DP headphones. It has major problems with outdoor interference-resistance and can get bad very easily if your ears are sweaty (you for example run / jog while listening to music), unlike with larger headphones.

Hi Smaniac!
Well... I found it in a mall (SP Market in São Paulo) for R$250,00. I'm not worry about price, but the full compatibility itself. BTW, the hologram looks like in this photo? And you get the red, blue, green or black device?
Thanks for your reply!
For me, the headphones have been nothing but perfect whether i'm outside or inside. I don't run a lot but play a lot basketball but don't where them so i can't comment on that. At the ATT store, they retail for about 100 and through Motorola, 120 :O.
Well... I'll buy it on saturday!
I'll tell yours my impressions after get it on my hands.

I found southwing sa505 for like around 29 bucks on ebay. I plan to get them however i heard that i can't listen to movies throught bt headsets. Is this true? That's all i will use them for other than talking (don't listen to music much) I have the 8525 and Tilt. Will listening to movies on them work for sure? Also, any reviews or experience on the headphones would be great. Thanks
theres a program that reroutes system sounds to your bt headset. so you can listen to music on it. i assume if you can listen to music, then listening to movies would be the same thing.
Hmm, i know you can listen to music but somebody on another forum said that you couldn't so that's why i just want somebody to say that you can or if i can't.
It can, search for BTaudio Toggle.exe you can map a button to allow you to toggle all audio thru the BT headset. It works great for Nav, Movies, Slingbox, Streaming Radio, whatever. A must have app.
If they are stereo bluetooth they will work, I have the tilt and the Motorola s9's and they work fine for all audio on my Tilt. If they are mono headsets the only phones that will let you listen to audio are Nokia phones.

I was thinking of getting those and i really wanted some short personal reviews but never got any. Now i'm leaning towards the southwings sa505 because i found them for 30 bucks. If i can find the s9's for around 50, i'll get them maybe.
There is a big difference between music and videos: music just needs to be streamed, but videos need to have sync between audio and video. BT headsets are good enough for it though, because I sometimes watch videos on my PC with a BT headset.

Those are 100% fake, no doubt about it. The original one costs around US$ 70.
The best proof of a original pair is the hologram that comes wrapped around it.
I bought mine from this guy: http://cgi.ebay.com/Motorola-MotoRO...814724QQihZ012QQcategoryZ133229QQcmdZViewItem
Mine is original and came sealed as advertised.
Be very careful when buying, especially on EBay, most are fakes there.
If you live in the US you can buy from Amazon, it is more reliable.
I do live in the US but haven't found a good price on the s9's. do you know if these are fake to?

My headphone adapter for my MT3G recently stopped working, so I'm going to buy a new one soon, but I figured I might as well get a new set of headphones as well. Would you guys know of any good quality headphones? I'm interested in in-ear bud headphones with a built in mic. Also, would you guys know where I can buy the MT3G 3.5mm adapter? I found one on Amazon, but it's requiring me to buy the headphones with it.
Also a white pair of headphones and adapter is what I'm looking for, since I want it to match my MT3G color
Thanks in advance.
What sort of budget are you looking at? More and more highend in ear monitors (IEMs) are coming out with inline mic versions.
I don't really have a limit on price as of now, but if you know of one of equal quality, as the ones that came with the MyTouch 3G, or better. Send a link my way
http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Ears-Isolating-Earphones-Microphone/dp/B000X26UTU/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1268359468&sr=8-16
Alittle pricey but companies tend to charge a premium for models with inline mics. You know, because of iPhone users...:-/
There are cheaper from Ultimate Ears too. Shure also offers a couple of models with inline mics.
Lol, that's a "little pricey"? I guess I can set my budget at about $40 then. If I can't find another I'll probably have to buy the ones that come with the MT3G.
Heh... Thats why I asked if you had a budget.
http://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-Earbuds-Headset-iPhone-Compatible/dp/B000WN00FK/ref=pd_sxp_grid_pt_2_2
These aren't half bad, their actual price are $39.90 (you have to add to cart to see the real price). These are on the way out as a new model just came out which is why they are fairly cheap.
Lol I didn't think headphones would cast that much, except for ones built for reasons other than usage on the bus. I might get that last one you showed me, it looks promising for sound and all that, but I don't know if I want something that will break in a few months thanks for the help though
bluetooth
Motorola S9HD. Had a pair (until my daughter broke them). Used everyday for work/gym/home. Music and phone calls. $99 @ Best Buy.
Hi,
Any riders here?
If yes, anyone who has bought a bluetooth-headset (attached to helmet) that works fine with HD2? Then I mean all features such as telephony (receiving calls), voice-command, listening to music, using the navigator (just for audio-instructions) ecc. A solution without bluetooth could also be OK (cable connected to HD2 in jacket-pocket).
I have a helmet handset (Cellularline) that works fine with HD2...but is an older model.
No information about new F4 model (may be better and could also works as headphone for music and navigation.....)
U can check on Cellularline website for more informations.
Alex
Thanks...I will check it out.

Scala rider G4
look at cardosystems on the internet.
I've tried the Q2 before and works fine.
Now I'm trying the G4. This one has stereo and works much better.
BMW have long done a Bluetooth helmet, but it's waaaay overpriced, I think it was a good £600 when I last looked at it but with that said it was ~4 years ago I last considered it.
I've never seen the point in bluetooth helmets, I ride like an absolute idiot anyway, so I can bearly hear myself let alone someone hear me.
I like the quiet time of being on a bike, quite why you'd want to ruin that with the Mrs. nagging you, knowing you have a Bluetooth helmet is beyond me.
I eventually bought the Cellularline F4 model (single version) and I am very pleased with it. Everything works nicely (pairing, music, receiving calls, good quality and loud enough etc). The only thing I still have to experiment is with MS Voice Command.
I just received my note 2 a couple of days ago. Loving it! - with a couple of small caveats:
1) Why must the stock email client suck so much? With such a great and big phone one of the main advantages for me would be to be able to email efficiently. But, first thing, you can't change the background color from black. Second, no search functionality. Third, the interface isn't beautiful. All of it: Just bad. (I come from iOS so I'm used to a very well-functioning email app). Some of the other email clients at google play seem marginally better, but none are perfect. Hope for updates and an imroved client from Samsung.
2) Then to my actual question in this thread. The earbuds/earphones that came with the phone sound great. But, they are in-ear. I know that most people prefer in-ear phones, but for me, not so much. It makes me feel shut off from the world, and if I'm listening to music on my bike for example I'm afraid I won't hear important sounds from the traffic, stuff like that. So I'd like to find some alternative earphones that are not in-ear. I tried the apple earphones from my old iPhone, and they work fine for listening to music and talking, but I can't control volume or move between songs and radio stations etc with them.
So I wonder: anybody know of earphones that work with the galaxy note 2 that are not in-ear, where the controls work and that have good sound?
headphone controls
For headphone controls, i am not sure because of the diversity of android phones that you ll find a compatible model which is a shame,
you can use this free software workaround solution : JAYS Headset Control in the playstore.
Regarding in-ear headphones and motorbiking: I did just that not too long ago and broke a time record unknowingly between two cities. It's cool what shutting off the outside world can do for your courage and concentration

Might be OT but both yes and no. You might take more risks but you also don't hesitate as much which makes it safer. Hesitating while driving/riding is really dangerous too! So its a double edged sword lol...
On topic, picking one of these bad boys up tomorrow. Hope the bundled earphones are decent enough to continue my stupidity on and off the road
Sony's Smart headset MH-1c has both volume controls as well as a call recieve button which works with Samsung Galaxy SIII and Note II.
While they are technically in ear, I would recommend using the LG Tone+ Bluetooth Headset - the model number is HBS-730. It has APT-X codec, which is for the most part indistinguishable from wired headphones, plus they have insane 12+ hour life. To get around being aware of sound around you like at work, I just wear one earbud in and the other one magnetically clips to the headset, which is super handy. I typically use them 10-14 hours a day and am a headset fanatic. They have volume control, play/pause, and track forward and back. Plus they have good sound quality for the money even though they are bluetooth.

Hi, I had the same problem and eventually have taken matters into my own hands by making my own using the 3 button remote bundled with the phone and some Klipsch S4i's I had left over from the iPhone days. The results were so good I have bought some more S4's to customise and have listed them on eBay for sale. Finally a solution to this problem. When are the manufacturers going to realise there are millions of Samsung devices out there and start making some decent earphones for us!!
Cheers

hope this helps!
using earphones
Another alternative is try out the app Around Sound from the play store. It monitors external noise from the microphone and pauses your music to play that sounds to you.
I posted this in another thread, but the best retail option might be the new Samsung headphones that start coming out with the S4 - the HS330. Supposed to be better than the S3/Note 2 headphones and obviously volume and pause/answer buttons work.

Which truly wireless earbuds are you using with the Note 8 and you would recommend? Looking to buy one.
Been eyeing the Beoplay E8. I am more concerned about audio fidelity (for a bluetooth device) over any other factors.

I've been using Beoplay E8's with Note 8 for the past 3 weeks and I've gotta say, I'm amazed! Audio quality is good, connection strong, and no issues so far. App lets you adjust audio and build is outstanding.
I've been using Gear Gear Iconx (2016) would love to upgrade to the 2017 model for better battery life.
I got the 2018 icon X. They can be paired with a device or even used without one. They sound good and have good touch controls.
I had the Icon X 2018, got them from B&H for $150, they were great at the beginning, but some annoynaces were like this:
1. No way to Power Off the buds without putting them back in the case, this means lots of charging/discharging the whole time.
2. Touch controls became finicky after about 2 weeks.
3. Totally subjective I know, but they hurt my ears, tried all combinations.
Back to Jaybird RUN, with latest FW Update the BT connection is rock solid, Volume is much higher than the IconX 2018, and the sound fidelity through the Jaybird App EQ settings is Superb to say the least, and I'm a musician so I know quality sound vs ... you know!
I just picked up the Blueant Pump Air.
Not bad at all and super light (4 grams)
http://www.myblueant.com/products/headphones/pumpair/
I have finally decided to pick up the E8. Once the Note 8 gets Oreo (which should be soon), i guess the lack of aptx will not matter much.
How is the audio delay when watching youtube videos with the latest firmware?
On a side note, there is Ashley Chloe's Fuse coming out soon. They have aptx and usb c charging! Would have considered them if they were to be available by mid february.
I have the Jabra elite sport and I really like them

1. They power off on their own when disconnected from blue tooth.
2. I've had them since Christmas and use them everyday. Touch controls work as good as they did when I got them. Not sure what exactly would make them "finicky" after working fine.
3. They literally have four different size pads. If you can't find a fit, then you got wonky ears lol.
Seems you quickly wrote off the IconX because you all ready had your mind made up. Which is fine, but let's be honest. The jaybird RUN is an icon X knockoff. And what's funny is I read more issues about the jaybird sounding bad and not fitting right. They even have the same pod case setup that Samsung uses. And surprise, surprise, they are just $15 less msrp than the icon X. You can tell they are trying to be the icon X. I'll just stick to the original that happens to also work seamlessly with my device. I'm also not sure what being a musician has to do with hearing sound quality, but hey, as long as you feel good about it...
I was looking at the B&O but ended up ordering the crazybaby nano off indiegogo mainly due to BT5 and future proofed.
These are shipping this month and the order is locked so have no doubt to question this date (as I am with other campaigns).

Hey, do you have issues? or really really long free and boredom time at your hands?
You criticised and analyzed every bit of word that I wrote, as if you are the master of the world, and you know everything and that you are God of technology. Grow the f up dude, I was just sharing my experience peacefully, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I loved the IconX but preferred the Jaybird RUN at the end, end of story!
Let's not forget that the Truely wireless "thing" is still a new "thing" they will mature with time and provide better options than what we have now.
I have gone through a bunch of them - at the holiday -, and it was like you cannot just get all the PROS from all of them into 1 set, each had their pros and cons, like anything else.
I was expecting the Bose to be the top, but with their open-ended design, the sound was very shallow and thin, maybe it was made like this by design to provide ambiance awareness or sth., Elite Sport was great too.
