Core Player help

Hey,
There are some stuff that i can't seem to figure how to do. Google and the "Help" on the coreplayer site, didn't help me much. So maybe you can help:
1. If I play music and listen through the speaker (not the headphones), when i turn off the screen - the music stops. Is there a way to change that? the battry gets flat in no time with the screen on..
With the headphones the music doesn't stop.
2. Is it just me, of the media player is not so intuitive? I want to clean the database, and I just cant find the place to do that (that works..). I've tries the official help file (http://support.corecodec.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=44) and it doesn't help me much.
All i wanted to do, is to listen to my music without the sound files of my programs (all the small .WAV files). and even if i choose to scan only my music folder, it gets all the other sound files on my device.
HELP?
Thanks,
Udi

Music issue

When I slide to the music icon, all the sounds that are on my phone appear, and I mean all the sounds, voice for gprs, phone sounds etc.
I have downloaded music from my pc to the storage card, but they do not appear under this icon. They do appear under windows media in the programme headings. Any help?
Am I the only one with this issue?
I Think so...
I also have that problem, I have moved about 650 songs over to the music folder on the storage card. All in their correct albums and by artist.
I then goto the music tab on Touch Flo but the only two songs that are there are the two that are pre-installed!
I can listen to them all through the windows media player which doesn't bother me as I've just hidden the music tab under touch flo.
What does bother me is that in windows media player hardly any of the songs I have transferred over are in the folders they are meant to be in! 80% of my songs are listed under unkown artist and then all. So there is no way to listen to say listen to a particular album by The Beatles.
All the songs have the right name but about 500 of them must be all grouped together.
I really want a way to sort this?

I had the same issue a while ago. Try soft and then hardresetting the diamond; that fixed it for me at least, after the hard reset it reloaded all the songs.

If I hard reset tho won't I lose the other applications and settings I have changed?

Windows Media Player....

Does anyone know a way to "block" folders from being scanned (added to the library)?
The reason for this question is that I have my music in \My Documents\My Music & my ringtones in the folder \My Documents\My Ringtones
The problem is that wmplayer also adds (scans) the "My Ringtones"-folder and I was hoping someone could give me a HowTo to block it from being scanned....
It is really a pain-in-the-*** when playing "all music" as it also plays all the ringtones......
Thanks
as far as know you cannot 'block' files or folders from being added, but the best way i find to get round it is to make a playlist in windows media player on ur computer of the music you want, then sync the playlist to ur phone, not the individual music, then the playlist will show up in media player on your phone and play that, as the playlist will only contain the music you want and not other files that have been added to the library by media player,
hope this helps!

That's what I have done myself, but sometimes I get music, when at a friend or something, and want that to be played but it is not a two-step-way to add to playlist on the phone itself
FYI: In CorePlayer they do it in some other way (much better ) There you can set the folders you want to be scanned.....
Thanks anyway
thats ok, i tried!
the other thing i would have said would be to use the TD3D music player! as you can edit the playlists from the phone itself, then you could add files at a friends house, then add them to the playlist on the phone.

Out of ideas

Alright so I'm trying to get my music onto my phone and I am running into some issues. I tried first to drag and drop onto my 16 gig storage card and got all the music on there but when I would go onto my Windows Media Player it would search and find the files then it would add about 3 or 4 then quit. So I did some searching and ended up finding out that I should delete MSMdata. So I did. That did not help. So I decided to try HTC's audio player and it would search, find the files, then quit out. So I then went to Kinomo freeplay which found the files and could play them but only about half of them because the other half are in AAC format. So I did some more searching and found that using Windows media player to sync my music with my phone is supposed to work, but sadly it didn't help. WMP find the files then quits out, as does HTC audio player. Kinomo freeplay finds the files but there are about 3-4 copies of every song and only 1 copy works. So now I am out of ideas and very frustrated. Anyone got any ideas/ suggestions?

Could it be that one or more of the music files are corrupt?
Does DRM mean anything to you ? Is that the problem ?
I recommend Mortplayer. It's the best MP3 player bar none and it's free!!!

Duplicate Songs

Hey guys,
I went to play some music on my phone today and i have every song twice.
I am using Cyan 4.04 and HTC music. both songs acording to the player are sitting in the same place.
I just tried deleting all songs off my SD and rebooting but no go. The songs still appear in HTC music but now i can play any of the cos they arent on the SD card to play.
Anyone else seen this or know of where the data file for HTC music is kept so i can delete.
Thanks guys
I did a couple of searches for duplicates but with no avail
Cheers
I'm having same problem. All songs have duplicates. But there is only one actual audio file in the music folder. I have my music stored on '/My Storage/Music/Artist/Album/Songs.mp3'.
I tried deleting the files in the HTC/AudioManager folder (music.vol & cache files, then restarted) but didn't help.
And on a separate note, should I be able to flip through multiple albums on the Music tab home screen, or just the songs from the current album? I can only flip through the songs from one album, then have to use the Library to find another. And am I stuck having songs listed alphabetically instead of album order?
Anyone track down any answers for this one? Really would like to get Audio Manager working properly.
THANKS!
