my ringtones are so soft! the stock ring ringtones are also very low... how are you guy's tilt/kaiser ringtone volume? wonder if it's normal........ and mp3 playback? mines is very low also ....
my ringtones are loud and using the speaker to play music can get loud for so small, if it is very low I would exchange for a new one

just to cover the basics, have you made sure that your volume is all the way up?
I'm also worried by the poor speaker design on the Kaiser :
It's annoying to get such a small volume when it's sitting in its (htc) pouch
Same problem when it's lying on a sofa or whatever similar.
Why did they put the speaker on the back ??!
Is there really any way to boost the volume ? (sliders on top, it's doesnt reach my HTC tornado ringtones level... that I could locate from a different mid-noisy room)
is it possible to overclock/tune the audio settings and increase the sound that comes out from the speakers???
I hate the tilt speaker, its so quiet that i always miss my calls. Plus my headphones are louder not on my ear than playing music from the speaker.
mehh???
Can't do the phone for you, but get a player with pre-amp capability in the equaliser - like GSPlayer, or TCMP
G.
just tried gsplayer, its not loud either...
is there anyway to make the speaker louder for mp3's??? :/ atleast for the ring tone.
Download your ringtones from your pda to your pc and open them with an audio edit program (like audition or ...). Raise the volume and save it.
Put them on your pda
think you should go to a doctor
i had to decrease the speaker to 50% cause it was much to loud.
there will be no software-way to increase, cause it is limited to avoid hardware-problems with the speaker. try to open your kaiser and do some electonic-work
bye andré
Are you complaining about the ring tone volume? or the music volume?
If so then do the following using your computer:
1. Save the Ring Tones or the Music Files onto your Computer.
2. click on Start/All Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Sound Recorder/
3. On the Sound recorder, click File/Open/ ( open the Ring Tones you saved earlier or the music files)
4. Increase the volume and then save the file. You can re-record the saved file with another 25% volume increase.

Not offense meant, I'm talking from a professional point of view: go to a ENT specialist to check on your hearing capabilities. Especially if you're young, you may have damage from various club visits, etc.
If you're older, you may have had ISSHL without even noticing it.
Seriously: I'm 42 and the HTC TyTN II is VERY loud at the max volume setting(s), so you definetely have to check out your hearing capabilities. Even if you think you hear very well, it is possible that you hear only certain frequencies very well and others not.
Just a friendly advice, you don't have to agree.
the phone has its speaker on the rear side, which is sucks!
but then they couldnt place the speaker grills on the front either for sake of looks
i (and i am sure almost everybody) keep the phone with the lcd facing up so the speaker gets blocked and the sounds are muffled.
my nokia has its speaker on the top (not front) which sounds awesome even when in pant pockets..
seriously i think uk3 is fine..lol..nothing wrong with his ears
Take a look at your sound profile.
I was having the same problem until i checked that and noticed that it defaults at sound 40% ring 40%
knocked it up to 100% and all is well now
the sound for the default ringtone... (Ring Windows Mobile) is VERY loud when volume is at max. BUT the ringtone of the mp3 that i put into the /my documents/my ringtones are very low and unable to hear them when i have the phone in my pocket. I notice about a 50% in volume change.
This goes with the windows media/audio manager. It plays really low. My hearing is fine im only 18 lol

if you have a program like Audacity you can use that to make your MP3ringtones louder.

Not sure where or if it even exist on a default settings (i've got the 02 version of the Kaiser i.e the strealth) but i've got SPB phone suite installed so there is a icon on my today screen which I can just tap and set various profiles to ring and notification settings (set to 100% ring and 100% vibrate, 40% ring and vibrate, just vibrate etc.)
But as a test I did a hard reset (backed up everything with sprite backup first) and then played the default ringtone and it was very quiet , restored from my backup which had spb phone suite installed and the volume increased a lot
Hello folks ... actually my problem with Kaiser is different, as my speakers work so fine with both ring tones and music ... but my problem is with the ring back tone (RBT) which is the ringing tone you hear till the other party picks up the call ... I can barely know whether it's dialing or not ... anyone can give me the registry key/value to enhance this.
TIA
HI dude, try the SRS WOW HD app.
It works on my Kaiser
Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355496&highlight=srs_wowhd_arm
The volume of the actual mp3 doesnt matter. I rerendered a mp3 to 20db more than it was.. and it still played the same volume on the phone... Is it just that the speaker of the kaiser is crappy?
Can anyone suggest agood custom setting
If u could clcik a Picture captuer & post it
Would help alot
Thank You

How do u do that ?
where in the phone is it ?
Please Help
How do I make the ringtone more lound? Right now i pretty much have to be within 5 feet of the phone to hear it.
I put on some custom MP3s to use as ringtones on the phone. but even the default ringtones that came with the phone are quiet.
PS - sort of on topic... when you pull down the sound manager thing from the startbar it has 2 sliders. one has tilt icon other has headset phone icon... what does each one do? is the tilt one speaker volume and the headset one earpiece volume?
I tried turning up both sliders to the max but ring tones are still not very loud. =/
Ok. here's the fact. Tilt speakers are not loud at all. So no matter whatever way you try to put on the sound, they won't get louder than it is. Yes. You got it right. Speaker icon is for speaker and headset icon is for earpiece volume. You might want to read your user manual. But to the topic, the best you can do is, before you transfer the mp3 ringtones, crank it up the mp3 volume by using programs like audacity. Then save it and transfer to tilt and see if that makes any difference. I will say a bit lounder than it should be but not that much difference though.
hi, i played songs from my XSP in my car through AUX connection. It seems okay at first then i suddenly get annoyed when the volume decreased automatically when play "loud part" on the songs (bass and distortion). Can i turn this automatic volume levelling off? I had same problem in my Win 7 laptop, and the problem is gone when i disable sound enchantment in sound properties..
Can I turn off this settings too in my XSP? i'm really annoyed with this.
Quiet sound is amplified to sound at a reasonable level. Then when a loud part of the song comes on the level automatically drops making the quiet parts sound annoyingly loud & the loud part annoyingly quiet... Sorry that's the best way I can describe this...

Hi,
I've got beautiful Sennheiser Momentum's here and I've got a problem. They make scratchy noises in higher pitches, say slow or silent songs with high voices. This happens with Beats off at the last two volume settings and with Beats On even before that. The same mp3 does not sound scratchy when I play it over my PC with the same headphones plugged in. It's defnitely the phone because the In ears that came with the phone sound equally scratchy at exact the same volumes.
Is there any way to equalize the standard audio settings without having to use another audio player? I am running ARHD 31.6 and tried it with and without PureXAudio, doesn't change anything.
I reset my phone now to make sure the XAudio-stuff isnt flying around, but the problem remains. But I think I found the culprit, the particular song where you can hear it really good simply seems to be too low on volume in the file itself - i can barely endure other songs at that volume, very loud, so I think the song has a low db and the htc just isn't that good when it comes to making songs loud and so it starts to scratch. Is there any way or EQ that can fix that or a normalizer?
I have noticed that my phones speaker was louder and better clarity on first use but after that it went downhill from there. My phone is currently in for repair due to a total speaker failure after the phone got really hot while using a CM 10.2 ROM, do not know if that was the reason but that was the ROM I was using at the time.
Well my best guess is that the built in EQ isn't the best out there and causes screeching in some frequencies. I can't notice anything in most of the songs but there are some which are problematic constantly and they are 320kbps and sound fine on my pc.
