Contact program/link LOST - how do I get it back? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

I have lost the Contacts program (from windows, windows/start menu/programs and anywhere else I've looked).
The things that led to this...
1. Removed duplicate entries in Windows/start menu and windows/start menu/programs (i am using swift rom lite - which is fast btw)
2. Disabled Contact tab from touch flo using touchflo config.
I know I can type a contact in the phone app but I'd still like a link to open the app.
Can anyone suggest how I can get it back?
Thanks,
Cojo

The sequence of my display is:

Thank you for taking the time for replying to my posting. when I went to Windows/Startup Init_Tray was not in there. I did a search and found:
Windows\Init_Tray.exe
Windows\Init_Tray.Lnk
I tried to rename and delete Init_Tray.Lnk and could not. Any other suggestions? Thank you again!!
Just completed removing the following:
Memory Available Before/After Removal: (Saved
DAT MailTrigger 3450/3624 (174)
OZ Communications OM IM 3624/3629 (5)
T-Mobile HotSpot Login Utility 3629/4052 (423)
Restart after removal and no problems.
I assume that when I removed OZ COmmunications it also removed the Communications Manager Icon from the bottom of my screen. Another question resolved.
Thanks for your responses.

Settings>Menus -- where is it getting list of programs?

Can anyone tell a newbie where the Menu list is coming from under Settings>Menus (personal)?
I would like to add the 10 button com manager (back) to the launcher, but it does not show up in the list of available programs. Is this a matter of dropping a shortcut into a specific folder or a registry edit? I know the program is there as I can go into the Connections tab and it is listed as "Wireless Manager".
This is on a tilt running HTC Home 2.0 with the original rom.
Thanks greatly for any help.

Programs....
This is from a folder in your windows directory. You can put a shortcut there.
File Name and Folder
Do you know the name of the file that needs the shortcut created and what folders under windows it should be dropped into?
Thanks,
Bobby
Found it
FYI, if anyone else starts hunting this stuff.
The shortcut was already in the Windows folder. A copy of that shortcut needs to be dropped in the "Start Menu" > "Programs" folder. It will then be available in the Launcher application to add.
This should also work for any other application you would like to add to the Launcher.
Thanks,
Bobby

Restore link to Wireless Manager in HTC Home?

I deleted the link for the Wireless Manager from the HTC Home Launcher in an attempt to move it to another box. But it actually doesn't show up on the list of programs from which you can assign links. Is there a way to restore that link without reinstalling HTC Home?
Also, it would be a great idea if drag and drop functionality was integrated into HTC Home.
I still can't find anything through forum searches. Anyone have an idea on this one? I'm using the latest version with the brightness fix.
Use something like resco explorer, browse to Windows directory, locate CommManager.exe and create a shortcut to programs folder (in the case of resco explorer - 'send to start menu as shortcut' is the command.
Thanks chris!

TouchFlo3D - Replace standard functions eg. Contacts, Alarm etc..

Hi!
I would like to change some of TouchFlo3D's default programs.
Homepage:
-Clock & Alarms. I will like to replace this shortcut with Klaxon alarm program.
-Calendar: Replace with ThumbCal.
People:
-All People: This button originally opens Contacts. I would like it to open iContacts instead.
I already tried to change the registry for
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS to \Program Files\iContact\iConctact.exe.
I've tried to search around for information about this, but so far without luck. Can someone help with this?
Thanks!

I used ssmapa to remap the browser soft button. If i choose iexplore (from windows directory) it works but if i try to remap to another browser instaled by me (Netfront or Vodafone browsers) i always got error messages
I don't find any explanation to this
is there another way to do this? SSMaPa dosnt seem to work with the new juicy rom
i have replaced the calander and audiomanager to Thumbcal and S2P, this works when you press the calander button on home or slide to the music tab. did this by by changing the .exe name nding on what you want to replace and copying the folder to windowsusing total commander. just unpack the cab files or copy from program files

Palm Application replacement

I switched from Palm to the Sprint TP with WM 6.1 (I love the change). When I had my Treo, there was a program called Sharklinks http://www.ludustech.com/sharklinks/ . It was great. It would create a palm launcher icon (shortcut), that was related to a browser url.
You would click on the shortcut, it would launch your browser, and bring you to the site.
Is there any such program that will work on the sprint TP.
TIA
You have a few options. If you want to access the icon from the today screen, you can add the URL shortcut file as a document to Today plug-ins like Resco Explorer.
You could also drop the URL shortcut into your /Windows/Start Menu directory or /Windows/Start Menu/Programs to get to it other ways.
I made the switch from Palm OS several years ago and am never going back.
use touchflo
as i recall, touchflo 3d displays your favorites from opera on the internet tab under the youtube link!
I guess I am trying to figure out how to create the url shortcut.
I want to set up a folder under the start menu for streaming radio stations.
I then want to setup shortcuts in the folder so that when I click on them the Station starts to play.
Do I just copy the URL, and past in the folder to create the shortcut for that url.
I am a windows maniac, but I am just learning WM 6.1
Bump to the top
bump to top
Is there a way to create folders in the Start menu in WM6.1 Pro? And, to this guy's point, is there a way to make an item in the Start menu be a URL?
I figured my problem out. I was able to click on the radio station links, and they created ASF files in the music folder. I then used Shortcut Creator to create shortcuts to the ASF files in a folder in the programs section of start up.
And to answer JonDeutsch's question: the easiest way is to access your mobile device re: activesync, go to the directory windows/startup/programs, and right click, and new folder.
Hope that helps.
P.S. I still have not figured out how to actually create a URL Short cut that I can put into any folder I want. This community is a great group of developers. This would be a great program to develop.
