Hi there,
Everytime I go to a text enter-able or editable field, the keyboard keeps popping up. How do I stop it from doing this?
Thanks in advance!
Yes I also would be keen to know !
myrin
one answer which I just found
http://personales.ya.com/beemer/nullkeyboard.htm
Nice find.
Is there a way to do it without software?
I'm also interested in doing this … there has to be some option to suppress the popup I think when the slider is open it doesnt popup so there has to be a way to suppress the popup. Maybe some registry key?
EDIT: Found this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=260242
But it still talks about installing a blank SIP.
Hi Folks,
Firstly the standard disclaimer: "Apologies to all but I have searched existing threads (and RTFM) and can't find a definitive answer to this noob-type question"
So here's why I'm feeling stupid. I can't seem to find an option to stop the weather updating except when connected to a PC, short of going into settings and manually ticking the upper box whenever I plug in the USB and unticking afterwards!
Data costs a lot on my tarriff but I lik ethe weather, even if it only updates via AS.
Grateful for any advcie as always folks.
Adam.
Same problem here, it's one of the main reasons why I don't use Touchflo. Everytime I just click on the weather page an error dialog appears (can't connect... blabla). Very annoying!
it is not only a noob question, but the answer is so easy that you should be ashamed of yourself and spent some time just looking at your phone.
ever heard of a thing called menu?
it is on the lower right in the weather tab. press it, a menu comes up, choose settings and you are done.
or...... go to the store an get a nokia.
does anyone know if its possible to manually turn on and off the input panel?
it bothers me that it keeps popping up automatically!
same problem
agree! I hope to disable text input pop up automatically.
Please folks If you cant use the search function then at least read the first few pages of this forum This question gets asked all the time

and a little help on how to disable the pop up connecting to media net thing that pops up...please!
Answered it here
Ok I hope the title says it all but just to clarify I'm trying to see if it's possible to either disable or modify the "did you mean..." help tip of the Voice Search after a recognized voice search. Meaning once I long-press the search button to activate Voice Search, (eg. I search for a picture of the Eiffel Tower) I get the results. But when I close the browser the "help tip" or rather "did you mean..." is still displayed on my home screen, so then I have to hit cancel. It's a great feature when it doesn't recognize what I said, just don't like to press cancel every time.
It's the little things that get annoying
Mine doesn't do that (just tested) if it recognises the term, it goes straight to the Google search page with the results, and when I close it, I'm just back to the home screen.
If it doesn't recognise the term, I get the 'did you mean' box, which goes away when I tap on what I want.
I have noticed this occasionally. I do have the personalized recognition turned on. Its odd when it does it, I have to hit back a couple times after I was in something that I looked up and there it will be buried under a couple other programs or windows i had opened.
Seems like it does that when I say "listen to something something" it launches Pandora. Then when I close it that I see that help tip there. Yeah I guess it doesn't give you suggestions when you do a simple search or something.
Thanks for the replies
