I have posted a bug with the rear speaker and the volume control. On my unit, when you turn this feature on, the volume is very loud. Even if you turn down the volume to the lowest setting, the volume is less, but still to loud. In a discussion with HTC today, they had no answer as to why this is happening. They indicated that when you turn down the volume to the lowest setting, it should mute. They pointed out that in WM6 there is no settings tab for setting the rear speaker volume as in WM5. Has anyone else tried this feature?
I don't have this problem.
But it doesn't mute though when i use the roll switch on the left side of the kaiser to lower the volume, it does decrease the volume to a minimum, but is NOT muted completely. (that's not a problem for me.. if i don't want to hear the rear speaker, i don't activate them ).

Hi
When using the speaker phone and turning down the volume, even on the lowest setting it isn't off completely. This makes absolute sense as if you are on a call using the speaker phone having no sound at all, well what is the point of being on the call in the first place?
When playing sound elsewhere, i.e. not in a call turning it down completely does mute it.
Your particular issue seems to be the sound doesn't go quiet enough for you, maybe HTC can change this in future firmware. I expect the complaints they get most often is it isn't loud enough to annoy people even more with silly ring tones!

Phil
"silly ring tones!"
Ha, that should be a song

this is my pet hate
the number of ar$eholes who play music through the speaker on their phones - i nearly kill someone every day on the bus to work - one day im going to bludgeon one to death with my kaiser
im sitting inside now and theres some prick outside in his nova doing his bit to deny me of any peace - im gonna lose it and go vigilante pretty soon
hi guys
after suffring from LVED aka "Low Volume in Earpice Disorder" found a solution.
i dont know if ya'll familiar with the Speedmode Kernel but after flashing it
my reception stay on Maxed level and no problems with GPS Navigation.
the main treat is that the LEVD is gone allmost 30% volume increasing !
but a new problem raised : noise during calls -
during a call the caller complaining about "not clean sound" when im speak.
does some1 knows how to lower the sensitivity of the microphone where im sure the problems come's from there?
does some1 knows how to "edit" the kernel?
regards
Suddenly after update the phone I noticed that the upper headset we hear the calls confusion if i raise the sound through the side buttons of the device
Earphone like a perforated

same problem?
Hi everyone,
the voice-call-volume on my unrooted HTC One M7 is very low, maybe be speaker got some minor problem.
When I listen to music for example the upper speaker volume is lower than the other, but that doesn't bother me.
My problem is that I barely understand the person I'm calling.
So I'm searching for an app that boosts only the in-call-volume.
Apps like "Volume+" or "Speaker Boost" are not useful for me, because they boost every sound on the device, so than the other sounds like notification are too loud.
Is there a way I can boost only my in-call-volume over the limit?
Thanks
Nobody?
I am also curious...
I saw on the Samsung forum that there is a option by pressing special codes. Is that also available for HTC One M7?
I solved the problem.
The voice-call volume was so quiet because the speaker holes were full with dust and dirt.
So I took a toothbrush and cleaned them up carefully.
The best way is to slide the toothbrush in a small angle.
Does the V40 have stereo speakers?
I've seen some reviews that say both yes and no. LG's website shows a sound wave graphic coming out of both the top speaker and the bottom. The leaks prior to it's release said that it does. So I'm very confused as to whether or not it has stereo speakers.
Only one speaker!

Just one speaker ... but damn is it a powerhouse!
In the graphic you speak of, I see where they can 'cheat' the idea that the sound is coming from all over - but only after having the phone, turning up the volume while holding it as the whole phone vibrates with sound. Put it on a hard surface and the sound is amplified even more. Put the speaker side up to the back of a countertop and the sound is not only loud, it comes at you from all angles.
I get needing stereo if you hold the phone up close ... but with this phone, anything further away than 3 to 4 feet and only the finest of audiophiles will be able to tell the difference from the V40 to any other phone with stereo ... after 6 feet no one will know stereo from the V40 but everyone will appreciate the volume it can pump out.
Nope but it does sound like a little sound comes through the boom box is so loud but I say no!
Both speakers work
I've tried to very carefull listen
Fill buttom firing speaker & give it to full sound then u can realized
Ok now I give u an example
Accidentally my phone dropped & met an accident
So back panel damaged
When trying to play songs I've noticed that front speaker working not button. When visit to service Center tha guy found that button speaker connection broken then install a new speaker..
That's why I know both speakers are working.
