Currently, for a VGA version of PointUI Home, you can only use the 1.02b VGA alpha release
copy pasted from the pointui forum.

Of course this was a non-perfect alpha version (for example, icons need to be a little bigger...), but PointUI is really smart and trying it costs nothing !

You could install it without any problem in the Diamond internal storage.

I have tried the Samsung user interface on my phone, and I loved it only, one problem, no one has resized the icon to be finger friendly with a 480 x 640 VGA screen, so if any one can help that would be greatly appreciated.

Samsung user interface let me get this right you have it on your pro. How did you it and does it work better or as good as flo 3d.

TF3D and omnima are two different today plugins it pretty much what you like, you can try it yourself, but a word of warning might not be able to restart your phone if you select today 2 plugin ( I speak from experience) you will have to do a hard reset to bring it back up(reset button, volume down and glowing circle at the same time release reset and hold other two, then follow instructions. you will loose any date saved on your phone). but if you still wanna try search for samsung goodies thread and good luck

The app can be run as just an app to play around with it or can be put instead of tf3d as today screen. if you want to have a vga as background though, you will have to copy a vga pic in the program files folder few widgets.

update problem ....
The update does not want to start ........ it goes normal until the status bar and it remains at 0%. I use win XP and Active Sync seems normal.
Is there anything i can do?
Later edit: Did not know i had to put in Hard SPL. Noob here ..... sorry (i have an Eten X800 and that's much simpler to update )

Coming from the Touch HD, I bought this Rhodium phone 2 weeks ago.
After many days spent on this forum (and on others), I am very surprised to see that there is no real WM 6.5.0 "Lite" ROM without manila for this device (disregard 6.1 and 6.5.x).
In fact I only found those 2 which are "close" to what I am looking for :
1) NRGZ28 - EnergyROM Titanium version
Pro: No Manilla which is the main criteria in my "lite" quest. Has the "HTC Menu Enhancement" installed which makes the whole thing more finger friendly.
Cons: A lot of additional software and a lot of default applications could be removed (like youtube, opera, google maps. I prefer to install the last version of those apps by myself). I also have a problem with PhoneWeaver using this ROM.
2) At0mAng - Fusion CHome
I would like to test this one but the download link is broken and At0mAng did not show up for weeks :/ If anyone has the CHome V5.6 with HTC dialer, I would be interested.
I also started to study how to build my own custom ROM and successfully removed manilla packages and a lot of others, but I did not find a good guide with the package description and their dependencies. If anyone has interesting links, I would be interested.

I'm looking for something in that direction but with WM 6.5 (not 6.5.3).
Personally I I think that this WM version is not stable enough yet and causes compatibility problems with some programs.

I made my own skin for the Swype keyboard that looks like the HTC android keyboard but its only VGA portrait. I have no clue what will happen on a non-VGA phone. In landscape it is the original Swype skin because I don't need the landscape version.

After a short experience with xdandroid I'm back in Winmo. Here's what's new, I'm calling it Swype 11 due to the new year:

- the ^ on the symbols page was incorrect. I was actually a period (who knew?) so I fixed that

- the two number/symbol pages are now done

- Using the 2.0 version because of previous preference and smaller size.
- I've totally revamped the previous version
- Both letters and symbols have increased in size, the ' is still pretty hard to see though
- Only small case, shift, and caps are done so far.
- I've improved my technique so I should crank out there rest relatively soon.
- I'm not gonna lie, it looks pretty damn good comparing the two

My progress with the updated 2.0 version has been posted. The editing and calculator pages of the skin are not yet finished so my original skin is used for those.
25-03 UPDATE:
I've now started to update the keyboard and skin to the newer version (3.9.10.10.5032). I got the keyboard from PPCGeeks (cheers to jj62mtp, the second post). I know there have been issues but apparently this one does not cause any and it has worked flawlessly on my Telus HTC Diamond running MightyROM6. This skin isn't even close to being finished but again I'll only be doing the VGA Portrait version. Here's a taste of what I've got so far.

Hey yea sure, all you do is open the .cab with a cab editor (I've used WinCe Cab Manager, but to download it's only a 30 day trial). In the files you then extract all the .bmp files, and then just edit them to this skin (lol I've been using paint so far). After they are skinned, replace the old skin .bmps in the cab and save it.

Um... well my diamond whose resolution is 480x640 is running on mightyrom wm 6.5 and your resolution is 240x320 so if this program can adjust the skin for the size the ratio is still the same... the buttons might be a little small for you. but honestly you'll have to try it to find out. worst comes to worst i dont think it will crash your phone so no harm there (but dont quote me)

Hey guys I have an HTC 8900 Tilt running WM6.1 and I installed swype 3.9. When I go to use the swype keyboard on the touchscreen, the keyboard was way too large for the touchscreen. The touchscreen fits less than half of the keys and theres no way under the options menu to fit the swype keyboard to screen. Attached is a picture of what Im talking about. Please help!

Don't know what to tell you... I was running 6.5 and your screen resolution is different... that might be the issue

One major problem: if installed, then uninstalled, the original swype is uninstalled, too, and causes error message to appear when rebooting phone. Error message is something about a missing English file. To get swype back to working, I had to reinstall your version of it. And, the keyboard is a bit too small. My phone: A Samsung i920 Omnia 2 WVGA.
Anyone know how to get back the Samsung Swype version without hard setting the phone (not gonna happen), please let me know. I would appreciate the info. I've searched a couple other forums such as Modaco and PPCGeeks but Swype company has forced them to pull the file off their forums.

I notice that this is Beta version, cause still need comment from whom try this theme about shortage or bugs.
Beware that this is large of CAB file and of course need large space and memory too (80 Mb Space and 40~50 Memory)
I think use of memory can reduce 50% more by reducing pages in Panel
(Next-Add Additional Cab to reduce use of memory)

Still have double and empty in few widget

After Install, register mortscript. Go to Pragram Files\Spb Mobile Shell\HTC Editor\MortScript.exe
Besides left, right, up, down scrolling use diagonal scrolling for some home screen. Eg. WP7 Home Screen

I also think this should be released in WQVGA, because this resolution doesn't have any good theme (or at least I didn't find it)

I don't know, cause this very large theme to convert to wqvga (80Mb Cab file). I can't imagine if my self alone working out converting images and re layout xml files.
But maybe I can do again ones more by collecting themes, only this case labeled wqvga/qvga
