Is there a wiki on how to use SDK tools and eclipse?

I'm interested in creating roms and although i have no experience, id like to learn here and there.
Is there a wikipedia on how to use the google sdk tools and which eclipse program do i use?
I'm also on a mac//snow leopard.

modifying android platform and building

Hi, I'm newbie in developing android platform.
I want to modify parts of android platform, build it, and install it my gt-n7000.
I could find several instructions for building and porting kernel part into the device using odin, however, I cannot find how to install entire part of platform.
I think custom ROM is kind of modified android platform, am I right??
The thing is,
1. I want to know hwo to install the files produced by building android platform in the galaxy note gt-n7000.
2. is Custom ROM the modified version of android platform?? what is the clear definition??

AutoRootScript Beta Testing for MAC OS X, Windows, and Linux. Calling all testers!

ddI need help beta testing this final version of AutoRootScript. I'm trying to port it to all OSes, and I can only test it on windows. It's a pretty basic script, so we shouldn't have many problems.

How to run an older version of android studio?

I am starting to learn android studio from a video but because this tutorial are made through an older version , the new version is not able to run the code that is executed. So i am wondering if there is a way to run an older version without problems? I tried some stuff but always something was missing with java... and i don't know like if i can fix that.
He's using android version 1.1.0 build 135
