--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Features:
- VGA sized beautiful graphics
- 7 types of clocks (change with Floyd's toggle button)
- 4 types of icons (change with Floyd's toggle button)
- 4 types of buttons (change with Floyd's toggle button)
- Almost every icons/labels have ontap and/or onhold function
- Working with my favorite programs:
TodayAgenda
Inesoft Phone 4 (theme toggles pairing with Inesoft's call history and speed-dialer programs. I think these are the best )
MVBklight (with this you can configure the theme's backlight setting toggle button very easy)
Exmsoft Pocket Alarm v2.1 (I like this alarm prog, with 5 setting time, all days of week etc..)
- Need to be installed: Mortscript
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Installation:
For good working theme install the apps below to Device!!!
1. Install latest HomeScreen PlusPlus UI v1.06
2. Install MortScript
3. Install HomeScreen PlusPlus Theme: Floyd
4. Setup HomeScreen PlusPlus UI to Theme
5. If your Windows Mobile not contain Windows Live Messenger, than you need to install it for working WLM button.
6. Install TodayAgenda
7. Install MVBklight (not need to HD2 release)
8. Install Exmsoft Pocket Alarm v2.1 (not need to HD2 release)
9. Install Inesoft Phone 4 or 5
After that you installed everything succesfully, than goto Homescreen++ options menu (Floyd Theme / Battery Button / Options) and click on everything what you want to use: CPUSpeed, Show Mobile Operator, Show more indicators, Powerdrain, Temperature, Enable taskmanager, Count Call Times, Count SMS, Count Data traffic, Traylaunch etc.
After you installed v2.4 you got Full-Portrait version as default, just choose your favorite version. After that you can switch on/off the desired rows in Floyd theme (Battery button / Show Rows)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Attentions:
- Before you use backlight toggle button (maybe only on Eten devices), first you need to run MVBklcfg only one, and after that will working theme's button.
- If you have a working installed MVBklight, but Floyd's backlight setting toggle not working (Eten's devices working with "BacklightLevel" "0-255", but e.g. HTC devices working with "Backlight" "0-10"), you can do two things:
1: In \Program Files\HomeScreen PlusPlus\Floyd.xml you need to rename the "HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\BacklightLevel" entry to "HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\Backlight" or "HKCU\ControlPanel\Backlight\Brightness" with a text editor and save.
2: In \Program Files\HomeScreen PlusPlus\Floyd\Smarttools\ try to rename Bklight_cycle*.mscr to Bklight_cycle.mscr
(Or you can configure the Bklight_cycle.mscr on your own wish with 0-10 or 0-255 scales.)
After these changes, Reload Theme and try again.
- If you tap button, clock or icon change button, you need to wait the end of the process (theme reloaded, CPU uses falled down), Its about 7-8 sec. on my device.
- Background Themes (tsk) or wallpapers are not included in Floyd, because my intention was the best variable HS++ theme. You can use your favorite tsks to the different clocks, just onhold on CPU usage toggle button and change your tsk.
- Toggle buttons paired with Inesoft Phone 4, If you use older v3 version, than you need to edit \Program Files\HomeScreen PlusPlus\Floyd\Smarttools\Inesoft Favorite.mscr and Inesoft History.mscr to correct exe way. It's very easy I think.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
History:
v1.0 - first release
v1.1 - text color fix (in v1.0 the text color was always white, but e.g. at white background tsk it was not good. In v1.1 the text color = background theme's text color)
v1.2 - graphical corrections and appeared the Base version
v1.3 - compatible version with new BS: Homescreen PlusPlus UI v1.06
v1.4 - (Use with HS++ Build 0332-0333) ontap/onhold background fixed, fontweight bug fixed, use HS++ new animations 30 (Clock) and 31 (Notification and TodayAgenda rows)
v1.5 - (Use with HS++ Build 0334 or above) Animations: Cube to Clock and Plage Flip to the other rows. The two Notification rows are similar with 3 page. So no need to use two Notification rows for all functions (e.g.: if you want more free today screen). + Little bugfix
v1.6 - In notification pages change the font type, fix the counter position and counter text color always white, swap email button for favorites (or contact in Base version), + some button mods, add hide top and/or bottom bar (softkey bar) option (click on GSM signal button). Switchable Clock background to white clock types at white background themes (with icon style button).
v1.7 - Working GSM signal strength indicators and battery level icons.
v1.8 - bugfixed battery level icons under 30%, big update: 4 notification rows, 4 beautiful button types, 2 beautiful lamp icon types (in full versions), addin more arrow icons, PSShutXP with 4 skins, ShantzTodayChanger integration (cycle change the tsks from "My Documents" folder (change speed: 2 tsk / 1 minute, but you can configure the speed easy)). With Button, Icon and Clock changer buttons you can set 4x4x5 = 80! different variations in one theme!
v1.9 - First compatible version with localized Windows (not only english)! + Improved install method. +Missed Call button correction in Base versions.
v2.0 - Corrected Impact font install on localized Windows, Full versions compatibility with new name of Inseoft Address Book (Inesoft Phone from Beta6), if you signed in to MSN server you see it on the MSN notification button, Invisible feature: improved (more fingerfriendly) notification row leafing (left-right arrows), corrected appeared memory window (click 3rd button in first row)
v2.1 - Working PowerDrain,CPUSpeed,Temperature indicators and Incoming/Outgoing Calltimes/SMS and GPRS Data transfer counters. For fully variability, you can able to choose the new function rows in separate rows and/or under the Mobile Operator/Clock rows. Eten release contain the working calltimes/GPRS counters only.
v2.2 - Unit of PowerDrain, Temperature and CPUSpeed are switchable with a click and hold on these buttons. Two new clock types. Fingerfriendly bottom menu (just in "Full" versions) with 5 page: TodayAgenda - Alarm,Memory,Backlight - 28 (4x7) .png launcher icons (VGA: 96x96 pixels, QVGA: 48x48) with .lnk links - Quick handwrite notes - BSWeather with two City.
v2.3 - Changed "Full" versions only: beautiful leafable today calendar plugin integrated with month view, reduced Pocket Alarm field and Backlight icon went to launcher icons tab.
v2.4 - Only two Cab released: QVGA and VGA which are contains all of previous versions in portrait and landscape too! Small graphics changes in portrait versions too. Important! After you changed the screen orientation from portrait to landscape or landscape to portrait, first of all just click on CPU usage (%) button and wait 7-8 secs. This will set the correct xml and notestoday + todaycalendar settings to the new orientation!
v2.5 - Made for WVGA devices. Tested only on HTC HD2. Not use Pocket Alarm, because builtin alarm of WM6.5.5 absolutely fingerfriendly. Not use SantzTodayChanger, but use WaPaC. Not Use MVBklight because HD2 set the backlight automatically. And fix the 30 days August bug in builtin TodayCalendar plugin. Furthermore redesigned of TodayAgenda, TodayCalendar, Icons (28 to 44 icons!), NotesToday and Weather tabs to 216 pixels height to 316 pixels for WVGA.

Just unzip tsks into your PDA's My Documents folder and after that onhold on CPU usage toggle button in Floyd and change your background theme.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Known issues:
1. Unfortunately the top/bottom bar hide application not works properly with all of the WM6.1 ROMs. The problem is the \Windows\Shell32.exe file. I read a forum (#79) where many users changed the shell32.exe to the right version and after that hide bars worked good, but I tried too and the result was a hardreset...
VJToggleTodayIIAlpha is integrated in Floyd, but not works with all of the ROM's. So if it isn't work, try nuenobar too! nueNoBar v1.3 works with older and nuoNoBar v2.0 works with newer WM6.1 ROMs usually!
2. BSWeather sometimes not works, but there is a solution: just copy mikehappy's BSWeather.mscr and unpack and overwrite View attachment BSWeather.exe.zip to Homescreen PlusPlus\Floyd folder with same name and enjoy weather tab again!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tips and Tricks:
1. If you have an other working email account, not activesync outlook and you like to see it immediately when tap on email button:
You need to edit the \Program Files\HomeScreen PlusPlus\Floyd.xml file with a texteditor:
find and overwrite
Code:
ontap="InboxMail">
text to:
Code:
ontap="StartApp" path="\Windows\tmail.exe ::-service "[B]Your Email Account Name[/B]" -open"inbox"">
Copy and Paste this row and type your email account name case sensitively! Make this change on all of two ontap="InboxMail"> texts. After these changes save the xml file, reload Floyd theme and Voila
2. If you use full version, than in TodayAgenda settings have to set the plugin height to 216 (in case of VGA device) or 108 (QVGA).
After set the height, softreset your PDA and the vertical scrollbar on the right side missed
3. To setup BSWeather Cities after install, you need to edit Floyd\BSWeather.xml and set your favorite city with Name, Code and Units (english/metric). Search your City code in http://aspnetresources.com/tools/locid.aspx. I.e. code of Budapest: HUXX0002.
To update weather data: Click on big picture in center or click on "Last Update:" row.
To change between two city: click on City Name, or more fingerfriendly solution: if you are on City (1/2) click on little weather icons to City (2/2) and click on weather icon in bottom menu bar to City (1/2) again.
4. I uploaded 5 types of my favorites weather icon set. I resized them to Floyd theme VGA and QVGA too, only need overwrite the contain of Program Files\Homescreen PlusPlus\Floyd\Weather dir and reload theme.
5. For quick settings of the launcher .png icons and .lnk links, you can changes icon1-icon28.png and icon1-icon28.lnk in Floyd\Quickicons directory. Not need to use the slow solution with menu.
6. If you wrote in notestoday, save your notes before you go an other tab, anyway this will be automatically deleted if autosave (optional setting) is not worked yet.
7. If you changed the screen orientation from portrait to landscape or landscape to portrait, first of all just click on CPU usage (%) button and wait 7-8 secs. This will set the correct xml and notestoday + todaycalendar settings!

The blue theme is one of my favorite and very good to NeonBlue clock. Floyd theme not included background themes (tsk) or wallpapers. Floyd is transparent and you can use your favorite background to your favorite clock type.. My intention was the best variable BS theme, and that's why Floyd not contain's backgrounds.
If you like the blue background, you can find it, but maybe it's only VGA (in Protn Todayscreen.rar):

re/START, Organize your wm6.5 start menu
First attempt at a simple configurator for organizing and theming the start menu for wm6.5. Still has a few bugs that occasionally throw an error, so consider it beta. As seen in screenshots below, I went from Da_G's basic(only Tools and Office folders) start menu layout to multiple folders, moved shortcuts between folders, and move shortcuts up/down in start menu position. Has ability to add/change icons to any links or folders, but they must be in the icons folder located in reSTART folder to be found. I included a few folder icons in install package to get you started(hence the large size of cab, actual exe and dll are only about 120kb). New icons added to folder should be .png files. Report bugs and maybe I'll fix, maybe not

CHome Editor v1.6 beta
This is a chome panel editor, its beta release, so be warned. Just to be safe, you should backup your chome registry before using and your Titanium_xxx.cpr files. Its still under development, so there will be some bugs and updates.
Warning: this writes and reads data to your phones registry, I take no responsibility if it crashes your windows default plugin. If you do a backup of that reg first, then it should not be a problem to put everything back to normal without causing hard reset.
With this, you can do registry edits to chome plugins, to values listed under the following keys:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\*all plugins*
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\*all plugins*\*all pages*
v1.6 changes:
-fixed Add Page sticking on Page10 and duplicating
-changed file chooser for adding application links, and icon links
-few layout changes
-converted cpr writing to using ATPlugin Installer, huge thanks to AppStar
-maybe more, can't remember right now
v1.5 changes:
-added web page wizard with opera bookmark import option
-added custom cpr option(more documentation later)
-changed some of layout
-changed color scheme
v1.4 changes:
-finished app wizard, has icon dialog now
-added Remove for panels and pages
v1.3 changes:
-added app page wizard; still needs icon support, but icon links can be added through "Manual Edit Item Values" in menu for now
-fixed issue where not starting for some users
v1.2 changes:
-removed panel filter so you can edit all values under plugins, like CClock to set right soft keys
v1.1 changes:
- made some changes to layout
- added ability to add new panels/new pages to registry and cpr
Opera Favorites panel with auto import
Now included inside of CHome Editor.
NOTE: If you still want to install opera by cab, Jugernaut has your fix using new style ATPlugin Installer for a safe install. Cab is located on this LINK
Start Menu Expanded
Start menu expanded to 4 icons wide in portrait and 6 in landscape. Two versions, one with honeycomb, and one without.
Colors 6.5 21193
Here's some color panels and selection png to match the tsk files of Da_G's build. Included are Classic Blue, DVF Green, Isaac Mizrah Purple, Rock and Republic Black, Ron Arad Orange, and Vera Wang Red.
WM 6.5 only
Start Menu Cab Install: Run cab and then soft reset.
TitaniumWeather Install: Disable titanium, run cab, soft reset, re-enable titanium, finish by running TitaniumWeather Setup from Launcher panel.
For further setup of TitaniumWeather and Launcher plugins, go HERE
Colors Install: Disable titanium, copy desired color into \windows. Copy bronzeres.dll for the panels, StartMenu_Selection.png for the start menu hexagon, and the 2 cpr files for start menu layout. All Colors are included in zip below. I will add some lock screen colors to go with these and maybe PIE icons.
Download Colors 6.5 zip HERE
MOD EDIT:If for some reason it doesn't work, please try this fix : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3949075&postcount=1077 or, if that doesn't work, try this one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4271984&postcount=1434
Edit from Sleuth: Want a positional aware Titanium Weather version that works with myLocation? After installing Titanium Weather from one of the cabs below, go here and scroll down to the Location aware apps section.
This may be a stupid question...but will this work with 6.1?

I made a few different ones, two sizes. The honeycomb currently seems a little slow, so by decreasing the size it makes it easier to navigate. Portrait and landscape files included in cabs along with a different unselected comb background.

HoneyCombs are for kids! lol
am a kid
u should be
so hmm its 6.5 out?
Maybe I am in the minority, but I have no idea why I would like this honeycomb over, well, over anything. I assume there is more to it then this stupid today screen but I could just get any program and dump a bunch of shortcuts on my today screen if I wanted that. Just my 2 cents

Here's the icons packs currently available for TitaniumWeather 4.0+
Left to right----Stardock, BeyondInvisible, Buff, and HTC
Spil icons
UPDATED May 5:
tried to fix layout issues with some icon packs, if you still have a issue then please post a screenshot along with device resolution so I can fix.
Anyone that has icon packs they've made, feel free to post for all to use.
I've posted a few sets for wm7 theme in ibrythill's wm7 thread in development and hacking forum if someone needs a set for that theme.
Additional .plg files for wqvga on ibrythill's wm7 theme are located in post 635 and post 638 by Genix9, more in post 702
Install cab and then go to TitaniumWeather Menu/Panel Display Options/Type of Icons used and then choose the icon set you want to use. It takes about 20 seconds to load completly because it has to rewrite the cpr file, and then run a full update so that all the registry entries get updated for the icons. So be patient and Enjoy
Im happy with my current ROM, so I wont be changing to 6.5 yet. I do have some questions about how this works for the future.
So you hit the start menu then this fills up you screen covering your TF3D?
The 1st pic shows the honeycombs overfilling the screen at the bottom. Is this menu "scrollable" to reach shortcuts that are offscreen?
Is that gigantic X a part of the new start menu or is that the X from 6.5? WOW that is big.
What is that "Marketplace" shortcut in your pic?
why don't make it for Wm 6.1 ???
6.5 is just out still testing fase...

Yes, this is the new start menu and its scrollable, but scrolling is slow in this beta. The original is only 3 apps wide, by making the honeycomb smaller, less scrolling to do. And yes, that gigantic X is part of 6.5 for now. The other taskbar icons are slightly smaller, but they made that bigger. Marketplace link doesn't work yet, but I assume it will be like apple's appstore/itunes.
The gigantic X close button is part of the rom, but this was ported from a QVGA version. I've seen pics of WM6.5 on a QVGA device and the X close buttons were normal size.
I think the overly large buttons are just a side effect of not having the right proportions for our phones. An actual VGA release should be due out within a few days which we'll see how things measure up then.
Thanks for the files, btw. Nice to start seeing some WM6.5 tweaks. I agree the default size of the honeycombs are huge. I like the idea of "finger-friendly" but come-on. The smaller icons are nice.
First post updated with new options.
Looks great. I like the Honeycomb lines removed and the Notification Panel is nice. I'm downloading the WM6.5 V6 Kitchen now... but does the CHome homescreen program up like the Smartphone version?
I had the Blackjack which had this... and I did some programming and tweaking on it.
From what I remember there is an "\Application Data\" folder which had the XML screen layouts which could then add plugins. I know Samsung actually had quite a few custom layouts which were included in their roms that were based off that style.
Just curious because if they're essentially porting over the Smartphone style homescreen... then we should have several hacks already for it.
Having finally flashed to Kitchen Beta 7... using the CHome.dll... my notification icons are reduced by around 50% and are half cut off at the bottom.
I'm not having any luck looking through the dll file. Are you running this in VGA on a Touch Pro?
The Start Menu tweak is working perfectly.

DO NOT PLACE A FULL SCREEN PICTURE FRAME ON A PANEL THAT YOU WANT TO VIEW IN LANDSCAPE MODE AS IT WILL CRASH MOBILE SHELL AS SOON AS YOU SWITCH SCREEN ORIENTATION AND REQUIRE A SOFT RESET TO GET IT WORKING AGAIN!!
Note2: (Changing Custom Backgrounds on Pro Screen and other screens):
To change the Pro Background, rename the file to qa_fundotela.dat and copy to Spb Mobile Shell folder.
To change Background on the other screens including carousel (except Lifestyle and Pro) rename the file to qa_fundotela2.dat and copy to Spb Mobile Shell folder.
Always restart Mobile Shell after copying for it to take affect.
Do the following to make your own custom background dat file.
1. Rename any of the custom backgrounds in the zip file to qa_fundotela.zip
2. Unzip to a folder using the password: b0fm18zq
3. Make 2 backgrounds to use as follows:
For QVGA version (240x400 saved as Background.bmp and 400x240 saved as BackgroundL.bmp)
For VGA version (480x800 saved as Background.bmp and 800x480 saved as BackgroundL.bmp)
4. Move the 2 new background files into the folder you made in step2 (overwriting the originals)
5. Zip the 3 files back up with password protection (using password: b0fm18zq)
6. Rename the new file to qa_fundotela.dat (for pro screen) or qa_fundotela2.dat (for all others) and copy to your Spb Mobile Shell folder on your phone (overwriting the original)

Bottom Bar
Is there anyway to add this (Bar at the bottom (just above the MenuBar) which you can use to select exactly which screen you want to jump to without having to scroll through all the screens to get there) in Ultimate like there is in Elegance. Are is there a widget for this bar

Oh sorry bro, I misunderstood
But it's better to modified the Elegance version than to add an obstacle to this Ultimate version.

After you installed the .cab, you'll have 7. 3 to the right and 3 to the left.
Thank you so much for your work and efforts. Just an inquiry. What is the difference between the different ProPlus apps? Why the Elegance and Ultimate versions. From first glance, they seem the same except the Ultimate doesn't have the bar at the bottom to select your window? I am sure there is more. About to try the Ultimate now. Just curious. Thanks again.
Nevermind, I found your reply to that question in an older version thread. Thanks again for sharing this with us. Definitely makes it a better product.
There is a little bug with landscape screen. Whan i rotate screen it goes black and unresponsive.
Can someone confirme that?
Online Catalog
First i want to say big thanks to u mskip the ultimate naked shell made my Omnia the perfect workhorse with the best looks. I have thou found what i think i a possible bug. After the install (clean ms3.5) when i click on backgroundchanger and the Online Catalog i just get a black screen and red text saying Error. It worked before .
Have u or anyone else noticed this???
320X320 support
I have a Sprint Treo Pro with the square 320X320 screen. Will this package work with my phone?
Thanks for the great stuff!
There is one problem with the "Launcher" shortcut. Every time I click it it will always go to the "Simple Mode". Even if I change it to "Advanced Mode" next time I click it it still goes to the simple mode.
Help
Hi, i have the newest build of 6.5 and it is pretty cool, but when i use spb it covers the whole bottom row. Is there a fix for that? ill attach some pics

Mobile Shell Manager 4.08:
- Optimized activation and deactivation scripts: no more waiting for list reload after activating/deactivating a widget!
- New functions set: create/edit/delete changing pic widget.
The changing pic is a special widget to which users can assign a “pictures set” and it will automatically change picture at set intervals: daily, weekly, monthly… user’s choice as well as at what time the change will take place (please note that Mobile Shell will be automatically restarted for the picture change to take effect, so it’s advisable to choose an update time when the phone is likely not in use).
Users can create as many changing pictures widgets as they want, assigning them to different pictures sets and sizes to enhance screen customization possibilities.
Once created, changing picture widgets will be available as skins for a “current date” object, much like the backing panels.
Pictures sets will be released like widgets libraries, plus users can easily create their own ones following the tutorial written by Jotha (attached to this post, just scroll to the bottom)
Changing Pics Pic Sets:
- Animals (courtesy of Jotha, includes Small and Medium Square, Small and Medium Portrait, Small and Medium Landscape layouts)
- Cars (courtesy of Jotha, includes Small and Medium Square, Small and Medium Landscape layouts)
- Nature (courtesy of Jotha, includes Small and Medium Square, Small and Medium Landscape layouts)
(The images in the abovementioned Pic Sets are taken from the web and should be public domain, should anyone know differently pls report it in the thread and the related pics will be removed)

What is Vostradamus Mobile Shell Manager?
Vostradamus Mobile Shell Manager is a serie of scripts to handle all my mods and widgets, keeping them comfortably on the storage card and “activating” them inside Mobile Shell only when you need them.
Please note that the widgets will use device memory ONLY when activated, otherwise they’ll be simply stored on the memory card.
This new way of managing my widgets is better than the previous one for several reasons:
- No more countless entries in the “uninstall programs” window
- Comfortable interface to activate/deactivate any widget, any time
- Possibility to activate widgets on single basis: for example you can activate just the red digital clock Cats if you want it, you don’t have to install the whole color package including the colors you don’t need….
- Optimized usage of device memory (see previous point)
PLEASE NOTE:
If you have any of my widgets version 2.xx, please do the following before installing the Widget Manager:
- Uninstall all my 2.xx widgets
- Uninstall my Tools package too if you have it
- Delete the registry key “HKLM\Software\Spb Software House\Shared\Spb Menu\WidgetPackages\Spb.WidgetsZioGian”
How to install:
For the first install, you will need to download:
- Vostradamus Mobile Shell Manager
- Vostradamus Base Widgets Library (qvga or vga according to your device)
- (suggested but not required) Preview Images Library
- (suggested but not required) Additional Widgets Libraries, as many as you want
- Vostradamus XML Definition file
Now, how to proceed:
- Install Vostradamus Mobile Shell Manager NOT ON DEVICE MEMORY. Just choose to install it on memory card or any additional memory your device has (that's because the Widgets Manager itself is not large, but the Widgets Libraries will be)
- Extract all the widgets library you downloaded anywhere on your device (but keep them all in the same folder)
- Extract the XML definition file in Widgets Manager folder
- Run Vostradamus Mobile Shell Manager
- Choose the "XML update" option from inside "Libraries" menu
- Wait for it to be done
- Choose the "Import Library Folder" option from inside "Libraries" menu
- Select the folder where you stored all the downloaded widgets libraries previously extracted
- Wait for it to be done (it may take a while, according to the number of libraries and their contents)
- Done! Now you can activate all the widgets you want (using the appropriate option)
(Of course I tested the software before releasing it, yet it's still possible that I could have missed some (minor?) bugs here and there, please bear with me and, in case you notice something odd, report it in this thread)
Any future widgets release will only include:
- Widgets Library Package with only the new additions
- Updated XML Definition File
so there will be no need to redownload everything all the times.

Widgets Creation Tutorial
Hans Heigenhauser (Jotha on Xda) kindly prepared a detailed tutorial which will guide you through the steps needed to create a new Widget Skin to be used with Mobile Shell Manager.
The guide is about a Status Widget skin, but the steps are basically the same for the other widgets too
You can find the guide attached to this post (scroll to the bottom)
-----------------
Small guide for "Flash Junkies"
- Before flashing, make a backup copy of the "widgets" folder (it's inside Mobile SHell Manager main folder)
- After flashing (and reinstalling mobile shell of course) do the following
-- Reinstall Mobile Shell Manager
-- Reupdate the XML Definition file
-- Restore the backed up Widgets folder inside Mobile Shell Manager
Done, all the widgets libraries you had before flashing are back there in their place

Thanks!!
Since when I first installed Mobile Shell 3 I wondered why the guys at Spb didn't give us the chance to change the font color... there are a lot of great backgrounds out there, but we need different font colors in order to use the light colored ones, otherwise all the texts would be unreadable.
I was hoping for them to release a patch for this with MS3.5, but they didn't so I thought "Oh well, I'll stop being lazy and I'll do it myself"
Glad to see that I'm being useful for someone else too
Released Ver 1.51, see first post for updates
Enjoy!
Looks fine .....
Does it works for VGA ?

Some of the mods could, surely not all of them, and they're not tested/ready for vga yet.
I plan to prepare a vga/wvga package too sooner or later, but I can't exactly say when yet (hopefully it won't take me too long though)
(W)VGA Finally!
Released version 1.52, this time for (W)VGA too!!!
Check first post for changes.
(W)VGA version has to be tested, I converted my mods for (w)vga devices, but not having one at hand I can't test it.
Anyone willing to try it pls report in this thread if it's working correctly.
Enjoy!

Of course you have to extract them from the zip before applying them
You can use whatever import method you're most used to... personally, I like to use CeRegEditor, it's a nice free software that allows you to work on your device registry remotely from your pc while it's connected through activesync (or mobile device center on Vista).
If you want to give it a try, here's the link: http://ceregeditor.mdsoft.pl/ but any other method can be ok too
Just curious: you said you've used Total Commander... how do you import .reg files with it? I love total commander, but I really couldn't find how to do it, if not editing the registry manually, but that's kind of uncomfortable for large edits

Thanks for this...the software helped. But to import using Total Commander, you simply copy the file(s) into the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT in the registry. I think I figured out why this didn't work using TC or Dot Fred -- the reg files were written for a PC which is why they weren't recognized (at least that was the message I got when I used the software you recommended above).

Uhm, that may be the case, dunno for sure 'cause I always use CeRegEditor and ignoring that message (I got it too) everything works fine every time

To change skin colors, simply edit your current layout, then go into the Time widget (for example), then choose change skin...you should have a much larger selection.

MSkip ProPlus Windows Phone 7 Theme for Mobile Shell 3.5.5
Contains the following:
+ All Spb Mobile Shell screens have now been skinned for WP7.
+ Home Hub is scrollable so you can add as many Tiles as you wish or make up your own.
+ Shortcuts Hub can be reached by swiping your finger to the left on the Home Hub (WP7 feature).
+ Shortcuts Hub is scrollable so you can add as many shortcuts as you wish.
+ Static links on the right of the Home Hub so no matter where you are in the Home Hub you can always see it.
+ Static Links are configurable through the Manager in the Start Menu.
+ Panels are mostly made up of shortcuts and custom shortcut skins so easy to change images or look (if desired).
+ New menu bars in mobile shell screens.
+ All Screens fully set up for LandScape mode.
+ Theme Colour can be changed from the 'ProPlus Wp7 Tools' folder in the Start Menu.
+ Changing the Theme Colour will change the theme colour on all linked screens (Hubs, Spb Menu).
+ Hub Tiles are now partly transparent so if you have a picture background on the Home Hub it will show through the Tiles.
IMPORTANT: On first use of v4 you will find that when you click on some of the links (mostly in the Office, Games, Media and Pictures Hubs) that they will open the spb menu screen. This is because the links have no app associated with them. Once you choose what app you wish to associate with the link you clicked on it will be set for future use. This is also the same for icons that have a '+' inside them.

TIPS AND TRICKS ON HOW TO USE THE PROPLUS WP7 THEME
To Change the BackGround Image (All Hubs share the same BackGround Image)
Select Menu, Change Background, Local Gallery, Select your background image. Then goto Start Menu, ProPlus WP7 Tools, ProPlus Wp7 Manager and select Refresh Background Image. Your Mobile Shell will restart and the background image will be changed.
----------------------------
The Background image wont change on the Home Hub
Goto Start Menu, Programs, MSkips ProPlus WP7, ProPlus Tasks, Refresh Background Image. Your Mobile Shell will restart and the background image will be changed.
----------------------------
To Add more Icons to the Home Hub
You first need add the Background Box: Select Menu, Add Widget, Shortcut, Spb Menus, HomeHub. Then click on the widget and change its skin to Big Box Hidden (colour of your choice). Finally move the box to where you want it.
Now to place the icon ontop of the box: Select Menu, Add Widget, Shortcut, Select the program you want to open. Now click on the widget you just added and change its skin to the icon you want (they are all under the box skins and go from Android to Youtube). Move the icon ontop of the box and you are done.
----------------------------
To Delete any of the screens from the Carousel
Run your registry editor and goto:
HKLM, Software, Spb Software House 2, Spb Mobile Shell, NowScreen, Panels.
Delete the folder of the relevant carousel screen that you want to delete. You can see which each panel is by looking in the folders but the Lifestyle panel is '3' and the Businesss Panel is '4'.
The number sequence cant have any skips so if you delete '3' and '4' then you will have to rename other folders, renaming the last 2 folders in the list so there arent any gaps in the sequence ('14' renamed to '3' and '15' renamed to '4').
If you want to keep all the hubs together then after you delete the Business and Lifestlye Carousel panels then rename Pictures (5) to '3', then rename the last 2 folders to '4' and '5'. If you dont do this corrently then you will get a corrupted view in the carousel screen.
----------------------------
How to make up a panel to an spb screen on the Home Hub
1. Goto Menu, Add Widget, Shortcut, Spb Menus and select from the list.
2. click on the widget that has been added to the screen and then 'Change Skin' to your desired panel image. Example: Add a shortcut link to 'Favorites' and then change its skin to 'Hub People (WP7)'.
----------------------------
How to change the Small Blank Box into a Shortcut with Icon
Just click on menu in the top right and 'Edit Layout'. You can now click on any of the boxes and change its link to the shortcut or program you want. Next click on the box again and 'Change Skin' to 'Small Box'. NOT Small Box Hidden or the shortcut icon wont show.
----------------------------
How to make up some of the custom panels
Agenda Panel: Add an Agenda Shortcut (or whatever program you want it linked to) with the Hub Agenda Skin, then add the Agenda widget and change its skin to 'Agenda Hub (WP7)'.
Digital Clock Panel: Add a Spb Clock Shortcut (or whatever program you want it linked to), change its skin to 'Big Box Hidden (WP7)' and move it where you want it on the screen. Now add a Digital Clock Widget, change its skin to 'WP7 Hub' and place it over the Blank panel. Lastly add a Current Date Widget, change its skin to 'WP7 Hub' and place it over the Blank panel.
----------------------------
To make up your own Hub Image
Create your image with resolution 172x172 and save as a jpg on your storage card where you can find it.
Add a Picture Frame widget and change its skin to 'BigBox Hub (WP7)'.
Click on the Picture Frame and 'Select Picture' then browse to your desired image and select it.
Remove the existing Hub that you want to replace and drag your Custom Hub to the desired location.
Goto Add Widget, Shortcut, Spb Menus, and choose what you want your new Hub to open (Contacts, Games Hub, Lifestyle Hub).
Now change its skin to Invisible Hub Big (WP7) which is found after the Wide Box and move it over your Custom Hub Image.
----------------------------
Picture Frame Sizes to fit on the Hub Screen
You can double the sizes of these dimensions if you want as long as the aspect ratio is the same, the image will just be resized on the screen.
BigBox Hub (WP7) - QVGA/WQVGA = 86 x 86, VGA/WVGA = 172 x 172
WideBox Hub (WP7) - QVGA/WQVGA = 176 x 86, VGA/WVGA = 352 x 172
----------------------------
How to have a different Background Image on Any Screen
Create your image or find the image you want to use. You have to remember to take away the height of the TaskBar when you are creating your background image:
A full screen WQVGA or WVGA picture widget size needs to be 480x748.
A full screen QVGA or VGA picture widget size needs to be 480x588.
Once you have a full screen picture widget then you dont want it to bring up the picture viewer if you click on it. To get around this I created a Full Screen Invisible shortcut which can be set to the Hub you are on and wont have any actions when clicked on.
After you have set you Full Screen Picture Widget, goto menu, add widget, shortcut, spb menus, and select the hub you are on (games, business, pictures). Then click on the shortcut on the screen and change its skin to Invisible Link (Half Full). This will cover half the screen with an Invisible Link to the screen you are already on and so protecting your picture widget. Remember in the Edit Mode the Invisible Widget is darker so dont select the wrong area when moving and click on the picture widget by mistake. Repeat this process to create another Half Screen Invisible Shortcut Widget to cover the other half of the picture widget. You will then be protected and can build the rest of your screen.
**and this one**
just downloaded and will give it a go, anything you make is always worth while
Kinda confused though? Changelog says January 20th? Is this new or you just been working on it for awhile?

The theme is all done for QVGA and WQVGA I just have to resize all the graphics which I will try to do tonight.
I need someone with a landscape capable WQVGA device and someone with a landscape capable VGA device who can move the panels and widgets to make the layout look right in landscape mode and then export the appropriate registry entrys and send them to me before I can make the cab and post it. Any takers?
I will post screenshots of landscape mode in the first post today so its just a case of following that layout.
I have a QVGA device so I dont need anyone for that.
Even if i select 5 pages in both the models, i can't have them...How can i make another page?
Thanks

FAQ FOR PROPLUS FREEDOM
Q1. What are the differences between the MenuBars?
I created the 'Selectable Pages' MenuBars with 7 pages as it gives people more than enough space to put everything they want on while still being able to select the pages without any trouble. Unfortunately you cant set the number of pages you want so it has to be 7.
ProPlus Ultimate Menubar has the open space at the bottom with the carousel and menu buttons on either side. With the Ultimate V2 Menubar the carousel and menu buttons are hidden (while still being selectable) just to make the screen look cleaner. You wouldnt want to put any icons ontop of the invisible buttons though as the carousel and menu buttons will always be on top regardless. Also with the Ultimate V2 menubar you can have the carousel and menu buttons at the top of the screen or the bottom, or you can delete the buttons completely and just bring the buttons back if needed. Of course these are all 'Smooth Scrolling' MenuBars and you cant use them if you want to jump to specific pages or have continuous scrolling.
There is also the ProPlus Desire MenuBar in the 'Smooth Scrolling' set which has 3 buttons (carousel, spb menu OR contacts, and menu) with space on either side of the menubar for a shortcut of your choice.
With the 'Selectable Pages' MenuBar you have some different choices:
ProPlus Ultimate Elegance will give you the 7 selectable pages buttons right at the bottom with a carousel and menu button on either side. This takes up hardly any space so you can make up your own set of buttons just above the MenuBar. If you want the same set of buttons on every pages then you will have to set them up individually though.
ProPlus Elegance will give you a 3 button menubar at the bottom with the carousel and menu buttons either side, and then the selectable pages bar above it which you can set to be small or large depending on how good you are with your fingers. With Elegance the Spb Menu and Contacts buttons are hard set (but you can change the options for these 2 buttons in the menu) and the middle button can be set by yourself (I think you can choose between the Today Screen, Task Manager, Agenda, and Weather). These will be the same on all pages as they are part of the MenuBar.
Lastly you have ProPlus Droid which gives you the 7 selectable pages, with the spb menu and contacts buttons underneath and carousel and menu buttons at the sides. I personally prefer this MenuBar as it looks beautiful, its clean, small footprint and looks like the htc android menubar (but mine has 2 buttons in the middle so its better).
Those are pretty much all your options I hope you understand the different MenuBars a bit better now

Q2. How to make up the HTC Sense Clock from the Droid Theme picture
The HTC 'Sense' Clock can now built up of just 3 widgets:
1. Add a Digital Clock widget and change its skin to HTC Clock White or Black
2. Add a Weather widget and change its skin to ProPlus1 HTC (Info) or ProPlus2 HTC (Info)
3. Add another Weather widget and change its skin to ProPlus Info (Left S)
-----------------------------------------------
Q3. After
Add another Weather widget and change its skin to ProPlus Info (Left S)
-----------------------------------------------
Q4. How do I open launcher from the panels button on ProPlus Freedom?
Ok here goes:
1. copy qa_layouts.dat from program files, spb mobile shell on your phone to your pc
2. rename to qa_layouts.dat.zip
3. using winzip (must be winzip or you can have problems) extract the MenuBar3Lifestyle_UltimateV1.xml file using the password b0fm18zq when asked
4. open the xml file in notepad
5. about a 1/3 down you will find the following text
<Layout Name="Default">
<Plugins>
<Plugin Class="Spb.LSP.MenuBar" Name="Panels" ID="3">
<Int Name="ActivateOnPress" Value="1"/>
<String Name="Action" Value="Panels"/>
<Int Name="LeftBtn" Value="1"/>
<String Name="Icons" Value="ButtonsMB"/>
<Skin Name="IconSkin" Skin="MSkipFiles" MiddleSkin="MSkipFiles" DoubleSkin="MSkipFiles"/>
<Rect Name="SrcIcon" X="0" Y="54" Width="27" Height="27"/>
</Plugin>
replace the highlighted lines with
<String Name="Open" Value=":BTN0"/>
<Int Name="isActive" Value="1"/>
<Int Name="Replace" Value="0"/>
6. save the file and exit from notepad
7. drag the file back to your opened winzip file (qa_layouts.dat.zip) making sure winzip 'encrypt files' is selected with the password set to b0fm18zq
8. close the winzip file and rename back to qa_layouts.dat
9. copy the qa_layouts.dat file back to your program files, spb mobile shell folder on your phone making sure to overwrite the original
10. goto start menu, mskip's proplus tools, restart mobile shell
11. when mobile shell restarts test the panels button to make sure it opens the launcher
You can now set the new "launcher" button through menu (bottom right button) settings to open spb menu or launcher. This button has also now been mapped to your left soft button on your phone.
You can also use this method to change the panels button on any of the MenuBar3Lifestyle xml files and you can also set it to open any of the other spb screens by replacing :BTN0 with any of the following.
:BTN1 - contacts, favorites, calllog
:WEATHER - weather
:AGENDA - agenda
:TIME - time
:NOTE Be aware that if you reload the Original Theme (or reinstall ProPlus Freedom) then you will need to copy the modified qa_layouts.dat file back to your phone. You can also safely use this modification on any future updates so it would be easier for you to keep any modified xml files on your pc so that you can just import them back into the qa_layouts.dat file on the new version.

Yeah sorry I forgot to mention the backing panels are now shortcut skins, its a much more effective way of adding them. I will add it into the first post now.

I am working on QVGA/WQVGA versions tonight so they should be released later tonight or most probably tomorrow.
Mark.
This looks great! I'm installing right now.
Would I be right in thinking that my previous widgets registry backup will no longer work, and I'll have to do my layouts from scratch?

What theme/setup did you backup your layout from?
Mark.
wide backgrounds
This seams a nice work, but I really love the standard feature of the background slyding behind the icons (960x800)...
Is this feature present or absent? In the later case, is it posble to add it?
Thank you very much

That feature is only present if you use the Original Spb menubar or any of the UltimateV2 menubar options. Elegance and Ultimate Elegance use 7 single pages that are linked together to give the selectable screens which is why you dont have the sliding affect.
Mark.
You've outdone yourself again! I'm a few hours in and love the extra options so far. Payday tomorrow so more tea and beer to feed your lack of sleep!

My widgets.reg was exported from an UltimateV2 for MS 3.5.3 layout.
Never mind, I've started rebuilding it now.
I've had a few lockups, but I also updated my Energy ROM at the same time, so it's not necessarily ProPlus.

It is best to rebuild from scratch on here anyway as alot of the widget names have changed (backing panels, buttons) which might have caused problems if you imported your old layout.
The backup/restore utilities should be a good help in the future as you can save upto 4 completely seperate layouts from different themes and go back to them at any time. Just make sure you have the theme loaded before you restore your layout.
I dont think the lockups are anything to do with ProPlus Freedom as it doesnt replace any of the original files, just injects whatever choice you make into the layouts file which makes everything alot safer.
