This site is mentioned in Youtube as the one to use to upload and download Youtube videos. I have tried all the videos they had as "available" for mobile devices and I keep getting a "failed to connect" message. I am using Edge through ATT (on a Kaiser). Has any body been able to make this site work?
it works great in a 3g area.....
Probably have to wait till October 15!

On streaming media player goto
menu > options > connect via
in the drop down box make sure you have the same connection your are using to connect PIE to the internet. Example: "Media Net" or "My ISP"
I had the same issue but corrected it using the above setting. BTW: works ON on EDGE too but pretty darn slow.
guys i am watching full lenght movies and more with this..its a great system..try this.its aslo full youtube..so you can go regular you tube sites and just click on the video you want, the video player will pop up just life the pc..

This really worked. I was on Media Net. Thanks, it is indeed slow, but 3g would be coming soon to our town.

Have you used this for the Kaiser (or the Tilt)?
yes it works on the kaiser >.>
same link as i posted above didnt knw
I downloaded everything. What program do you use to access the video sites? Is it IE or TCPMP? When I access through IE, then the Streaming Media Player comes up and does its own thing. How does TCPMP get involved?

I checked the file associations and the Streaming Media player still takes over. Is there something I should do to inactivate it?

Using a Kaiser too.
Interesting...I just used the megavideo link and it brought up the TCPMP player....the video stopped at the first scene. I believe that part of my problems are due to the fact that I have a regular EDGE connection and that 3g would make the difference.
I'll keep watching this thread for any useful suggestions and I thank everybody for being so kind and patient.

HandiTV + Coreplayer

Is it possible to switch WMP to Coreplayer? everytime i want to play a stream or a video it automatically opens WMP instead of Coreplayer or even TCPMP..
anyone knows a solution?
Have you set the File associations in CorePlayer? You can select all or individually!

Repair music TouchFlo3d libray

Hi,
I synchronized some albums with WMP. I deleted them later through Explorer and TouchFlo's music library appears with an exclamation. How can I repair the TF3D's library?
Thanks!
Disable TF3D then delete the following files.
Delete this file -->\Application data\HTC\AudioManager_Eng\AudioManager_Eng.vol
and Also All files under playlists
It works for me hope can work for u too.
Thanks!!
Sorry about the stupid question: How I can disable/enable TF3D?
Goto Start > Settings > Today > Items, and uncheck TF3D
@lesteryh: Good tip!
Start > Settings > Personal > Today > Items
Uncheck TouchFLO 3D

Yes!! it works!!
I renamed AudioManager_Eng.vol to ".bak" and I did soft-reset without disabling TF3D and works.
Thanks all!
This is such a bad design flaw by HTC. They should have designed/built the Audio Player plugin for TouchFlo3D to automatically refresh/repair the audio library without having to go through such an annoying task of manually repairing it yourself. Even when I delete and add songs using WMP11 the audio library still requires manual repair.

yeah, but in order to do that it would have to update the HTC library every time you accessed it - time consuming and annoying, but perhaps they shd have put an 'update now' in the menu or something...
i wonder if you remove the music by syncing and using windows media player, rather than with explorer, if that would work/be easier...

I sync with WMP11 rather than using explorer to manage my audio, but still requires you to repair the library manually.
I would say that a button "Update Library Database" is enough.
Let's hope that someone from HTC reads this post...... Hummm...Guess not
HastaSSSS
It worked for me also!
1st time I hadthis problem after having the Diamond for 6 months.
Using official WWE ROM v2.03.
This solution worked for me.
Thanks!

Problem with browser/streaming videos

Hi all!
I have a problem in Resurrection Remix rom - 4.4.2 (kitkat).
I don't use default browser, because I don't like it and I deleted it before flashing.
Currently I am using Next Browser.
To the point - In every previous rom I used, when I clicked on the video the browser gave me a possibility to open it by MX PLAYER and now when I tap on the video it opens this video in the browser (I think it's some kind of media player build in browser).
But what's the problem? Movies don't work in browser somehow and I want to get back to the option with mx player.
What I tried by now?
-Different browser (Boat Browser) -- the same result
-Searching in options of browser and rom -- found nothing
I don't want to reflash rom because I need everything for now...
I would be very grateful for any answer what to do
Thanks!

Not sure about your custom rom but if you goto "system setting/apps" then select "all" then look for the default media player (not sure what it'll be called) click on it and look for where it says Launch By Default select "clear default" then after play the video again and this time you'll get a pop up to select which media player you want to use, see if that works.

I went to settings -> apps, but I don't know where I am supposed to look for the default media player...
I tried to clean/restore default settings of Next Browser and MX player, but it did nothing...
UP
UP, plz guys...
Use "Bairu browser" free in market, once installed goto options then swipe options panel left and you will see more options then select "settings" and download the "T5 Engine" (it's about 8MB) then in settlings you will see an option to run "HTML5 video first" select it and it will play videos in 3rd party media player. It works because I've used it to stream YouTube videos on custom media player. good luck.

How do you change the default video player??

Hi Folks,
Does anyone know?
In Settings > Apps there's no default video player displayed. In Settings > Apps > Configure Apps there's no "video app"... There's configuration for Home App (Launcher), Browser, Phone, SMS, Camera, Gallery, Music and Mail. No video?
The stock video player is pretty lame so I'd like to use something decent like MX, VLC?
Thanks in advance

Settings - Apps - 3 button menu-- Reset app preferences .
It basically removes all the defaults . And next time you watch a video ,, it will ask you which player to use.

Thanks for the reply, but nope it doesn't work - it still loads up the default video player? I can't believe Oneplus doesn't give you the option of choosing the video player... I should add this is only in browser streaming.

To my knowledge, in Browser streaming, the browser-built-in player is used and not the player that comes with your ROM. I may be wrong, though.

I figured out what the problem is and it was really quite a simple one which I've spent hours on...
On my old HTC M7s I have Dolphin as my main browser... I've also got the Jetpack add-on installed that includes a media player which plays flash. It's this player that is loading up for the majority of videos I view on that phone... What has me a little stumped is that it also loads up in Chrome too. I downloaded Firefox to the M7 today and it didn't load videos in the media player - it played them in Firefox's native media player. It was the same process as the Oneplus 3 so it got me thinking.
I think if the media player hadn't loaded in Chrome as well it would have been a lot quicker to work out that this was a "Dolphin only" add-on perk.
Sadly the Jetpack isn't supported in Nougat.
It's not a big deal but we've no choice (as fair as I know) but to watch any videos in the normal browsers' players... Which don't have the on-screen brightness / sound / video search capabilities like you see on the stand alone players like VLC and MX Player.
If anyone has any other ideas :good:
FYI: I've tried Puffin and Photon.
Just a shame browser vendors don't give you the option to view web videos in an alternative app as default. Firefox is really the only browser that sort of half offers that option.
Not sure if this might work, but you can try an app called better open with. You can set defaults for certain type of file types like video stream, audio stream, PDF, etc. Either way, better open with is a better alternative than the stock defualts dialog.
