which is the best battery for xda iis

hi all,
I've just bought a 2nd-hand XDA iis and is battery is not so good.
So I intend to buy a new one.
But I'm wondering which bat is the best now.
I've gone to ebay and see that they have some types: original 1500 mAh, 2400mAh, "slim" 3200 mAh and "fat" 3600mAh.
I think the 3600mAh is the most suited for my xda.
Is there any better choice? Where could I buy it?
With the 3600mAh, how long would the xda would last if I use wifi IE with the lowest backlight?
Do any of you have any problems with it?
Could I use my old charger or Do I have to buy a bigger one?
Could I still use my usb-cable (not cradle) for charging my xda?
And is there any conflict with WM5? (I've just read in our forum that someone have problems with WM6).

I would say that primarly it would depend on if a 'fatter' and heavier phone bothers you.
Keep in mind that just about all the cases and various accessories that hold or clip on to the phone are designed for a phone that has the original battery, so a thicker battery may well make them unusable (cases are the primary example I would give).
How long it would last is impossible to say, as it depends on how you use the phone, what apps are on the phone, and so on. Also, 3rd party battery quality does vary. Which manufacture is the best, I can't say as I've never seen any place that reviews battery life.
I've never heard of any incompatibilities when talking about a particular version of win mobile and a certain capacity battery, and can't imagine that it's even possible.
Pick one and see what you get, then post the results here so the every one else can benefit from your experience.

At last, I've bought a fat 3600 battery and I think it's a good decision.
Now, I can use my fone for browse Internet in near 6 hour with wifi; or I could use it with 5 day stanby (how amazing).
some small problems are:
- the fone is thicker and heavier (no problem with me).
- My third party charger is a bit hotter.
- And the charging time is longer (ofcourse).

do not by batteries by ACME power. I have bought 2400mAh and feel no difference compare to standard old battery. Besides, I have troubles with bt. it turns off by its self with only this battery.

I bought a battery for my Htc Harrier about 4-5 months ago. Sorry i dont know the brand of it but its says its 3200mah and "replacement for XDAIII". The inside of the battery is kind of bloated out from the heat and looks a little dodgy but still works. Ive had a few problems with it where it powers off for no reason. When i turn it on again the battery charge looks fine.
Just a couple of days ago for the first time my phone just completely hard resetted and lost all my data. I again turned it on and the battery charge was fine. im blaming that on my battery.
I use my phone mainly for listening to music on my bluetooth headphones while im driving to school and for typing things out on my bluetooth keyboard at school. The standared battery that comes with the phone simply has not enough charge time to do all this.
With all its annoying problems i still use my battery. I just make sure i back up my most important things on my storage card. And charge it every night.
Soon im going to buy a HTC Blue Angel due to my countrys crappy plans that the Harrier comes with. Maybe i might buy the 3600mah while im at it.
So my advice is if you dont need the charge of a extended battery then stay away. Unless you are like me and need the extra battery power then beware of some stress ahead that it might give you.

3500mAh Seidio Battery - My Review (so far)

Just wanted to share my experience with people who may be considering an extended battery for their 6800. I recently decided to take the plunge on the super-extended battery after ditching my home phone and going cell only. Between the email checking, web surfing, texting and phone calling, the stock battery wasn't even lasting a day before crapping out. I attribute some of that to the fact that I have very weak signal in my office so often times while at work my data connection will drop and reconnect.
So early this past week my battery arrived. Install was cake as expected, though the battery door doesn't fit perfectly. It is just slightly raised in the middle.. hardly noticeable, but there. Seems like the hole for the white camera flash LED isn't quite big enough to fit around the element, too. I was initially worried about the extended backing being an annoyance, but after a week of heavy use, I've found the phone is MORE comfortable to hold, albeit slightly heavier (which I've never minded at all). With the battery on, it feels to be about the same weight as my old Treo 650 (god I HATED that phone LOL).
Ok so here are my typical settings :
Bluetooth : Off
Wifi : Off
GPS : Can't use it yet.. to chicken to install custom ROM
Email : 2 accounts, one set to check for mail every 15 mins, the other every 4 hours.
Backlight : 60%
Auto-Off : 2 minutes (screen and sleep mode)
Data Connection : 24/7
Software Running Full-Time : SPB Mobile Shell 2.1, SPB Diary today plugin, VITO SMS-Chat, Personalizer
I am a very heavy text and picture mail user and do a fair bit of web-surfing. Voice usage is light to moderate.
This past Thursday evening I decided to try to see how long it stretched from full charge to zero. I plugged the phone in to the wall charger and charged it up to 100% (around 6pm). With my normal usage pattern, and without plugging it into a PC to sync (so no short recharges), I was at 30% by 10pm on Saturday night. In an effort to kill it so I could recharge overnight, I used media player to loop a few full-screen WMV videos as well as turning on Bluetooth and WiFi. The bastard was resilient, though. At midnight, I still had 5% charge and "very low battery" warnings. To kill it the rest of the way, I surfed around the web for a bit.. it officially keeled over at 12:23am.
So my first official test of the super-extended battery netted me approximately 54.5 hours of "normal" usage with the afore listed settings which includes a couple hardcore hours of me making an effort to take it from 30% to zero. Having not intentionally killed it, I'm sure it would have lasted much longer.
In conclusion, I'm extremely pleased with the Seidio 3500mAh battery. It certainly delivers on it's promises. Thankfully I've never been bothered by a bulky or slightly heavy phone, so the extra weight isn't a factor for me. If anyone is on the fence about buying one, I would say go for it. If you're a heavy phone user you will really appreciate the extra juice
Oh yeah, one more thing, the extended battery does stick out enough to make the phone ALMOST too big for my leather bag/case thing. It was a universal leatherette belt-pouch with the magnetic click locks on it. The phone still fits but it's a super tight squeeze so I whipped out my much-loathed VZW rubberized holster for the time being. I have a Seidio spring loaded holster on order, hopefully it will be here tomorrow or Tuesday.

I think I read on the actual site that it does. I velieve I was reading the ext. battery product info. I have the Seido black rubberized case and the spring holster and was thinking of upgrading as well.
Hopefully, themirthfulswami will inform us soon.

I second that experience - best change I've made to my mogul.
Before using the battery, it was a race to see if the battery died before the end of the day. Now I can miss a night or even two of charging and it doesn't even matter.
A word of warning: The mogul is already decently large. Adding the extended battery pushes it to the edge of being useful in one handed operation. Not that it isn't, you just have to learn to hold it slightly differently.

I have tried few 3000mAh batteries and they perform great. i get to use my Titan for 4 days without charging... If anyone is interested I can get them for you for 35$ with back door included...

Who do I need to send the money to get the extended battery?

So I noticed the original person never got back to completing the review. So here's my two cents:
I'm generally a heavy phone user, especially with texts, emails and web surfing due to job reqs. Here's my typical settings:
WiFi- off
Bluetooth- off (on roughly 1 or 2 hrs max a day)
Brightness- 100%
Email: 2 accounts, 1 checking every 5 minutes (Yea, I actually need it) and the other receiving emails as they arrive (meaning I get them immediately upon receiving)
Auto off: 1 minute
Data Connection: On at all times
Software Running: Just switched to Manilla 2D- definitely a cool program to check out, SPB Pocket Plus (no today plugin)- using it to flick through IE
Texting: I don't know how many I text/day but I've hit 3000 in a month
Talk times: light to moderate
So I've never actually drained the extended battery to nothing, since I'm still used to charging it on a daily basis. I generally start my day off at 6 in the morning, its now 2:00 at night and the meter shows 50%. So typically speaking this thing beats the original battery by a lot. I won't charge tonight and see how well the battery does tomorrow. Along with the battery, I also got the extended battery case which fits snuggly and also covers that "middle lift up" the original person had a problem with (I guess its a problem with all the battery doors). I also have the spring holster- which fits both regular and extended battery phones.
As for how well the battery will stand up to my rigorous usage- I'll update you all once I'm through with tomorrow

big batteries need a fast charger
I put my 3600mAh Mugen in the charger at 10pm and remove it at 6am. If I try to it with the standard XV6800 charger (250mAh/hour), it won't charge all the way. Instead I use the 450mAh charger that I bought on eBay to charge the Mugen outside of the phone. Except I don't remove the battery from the phone; the 450mAh charger uses a standard USB cable, so I simply plug the cable directly into the phone.

As to that, I haven't had any problem charging the battery up to full using a regular charger. I generally plug it in probably 12 or 1 pm and unplug it at 6 or so. Then again, I never fully drain my battery.
As to the "review" that I had going yesterday, I am currently at 20% after 38 hours of use. I'm guessing this 20% will last several hours more since it was on 30% for several hours before

I just got one of these battery. When i plug into the charger the charging lite just blinks. Left it like this over night and still blinking.
Does this on 3 chargers:
1 - 5.5 V @ 1.0 A
2 - 5.4 V @ 2400 mA
3 - 5 V @ 850 mA
Any help ?

Are you using a seidio battery?

Yes the Seidio 3500mAh battery is the one that wont charge. My stock battery charges fine.

Hm..are you using the charger that came with your device? If that doesn't work..its most probably due to the battery. Seidio has a warranty on the batteries they sell
Email them first and ask what you should do, you most probably will have to ship it back if anything

Leaving the battery out of the phone for a minute or so when changing has seemed to fixed my problem of charging the 3500mAh Seidio battery.

I actually bought this battery off of someone used for 3 months. Life is way better than my original battery. My original was real funny. If i'm doing nothing, it would last a few hours with extremely basic functions including screen off for majority of time. If I was to make a phone call, battery would die literally after 10-15 minutes of constant speakerphone talking, even from a full charge. Pissed me off, I use my phone for many things and sh*tty battery limited me heavily.
After installing this new battery, I am using my phone for everything again. Slingbox, navi, bluetooth music listening, web surfing and ofcourse phone calls.
I am able to keep my phone off of charge for up to 2 days with heavy use. I work out everyday or try to and I watch tv through slingbox on my phone with Jabra BT620 bluetooth head phones. Thats a lot of drainage. Yet phone still does well with 2 days of use and no charge needed. I have emails set to come in every 5 minutes as well.
Here is one major issue this battery has presented to my phone when I originally got it but doesnt happen all the time. The beauty of our phones is that they are real easy to open and close. Real smooth. But can close very fast. First few times I closed it, it slams so hard I guess that the battery gets knocked out of place. I have to remove the battery completely and put it back in to start my phone up again. Very annoying but tested a few times and it doesnt seem to happen all the time. It has happened to me maybe 3 times since I got battery (almost a week) but it happened maybe 2 times on the first day.
It depends on how hard you do it. As I was typing this, i tested it a few times. Opened and closed pretty hard like 4 times in a row with no issues. 5th time, I did it harder than I normally would and it happened again. Aside from this, very happy with battery.

hm, never had that problem you had. But in general- lets agree, the battery is a lifesaver for any powerhouse user

Ok, so the battery is great, but what about Seidio's customer service? Here's what happened when I ordered the battery, along with a charger, hard case, and a few other accessories...

I paid for 2 day FedEx delivery, yet they want me to refuse delivery, and then they won't even send the right stuff out until they get the wrong stuff back? My wife needs the battery for an upcoming business trip. She can barely use her phone today because the current battery doesn't even last a single day anymore. Besides, I didn't get this e-mail until yesterday on the way home from work, and the package was on my front porch when I got home.
Of course, customer service was closed for the night, so I replied asking that my correct items be shipped out in an expedited fashion and offered to return the incorrect package however they wanted me to. I'll follow up today with customer service once they open as well. Wish me luck!

Here's an update to my Seidio shipping issue. Apparently someone else with my same first name placed an order at the same time, and somehow ours got switched. When I called this morning, the person I spoke with said the same thing as the e-mail, that I would have to return the package and then they would ship the right one once they received the wrong one.
Since we really needed the extended battery, I went ahead and placed a second identical order and chose next day shipping. Then I called them back to cancel the original, but to my surprise the person who answered knew of my situation immediately and we came to the following agreement. I would return the package I received, and at that point they would refund my original purchase price plus the cost of the next day shipping, meaning I am still paying 2nd day shipping for something that will have taken over a week to arrive. But hey, at least I'll finally have it, and my wife will be able to use the extended battery on her business trip.

that's good news, seidio doesn't seem like they'll have bad customer service, its a great battery tho with the case it is somewhat of a brick haha..hope you enjoy the new extended life of it!

I'm thinking of buying the Touch Diamond but I'm kind of drawn back by its battery (900mAh).
In practice, how much autonomy does it really have?

phone IS great, battery sucks, with good use 1 day.

can hold 2 1/2 days on normalk use and if you switch it off at night...
but yeah, breat phone, battery is a peace of s...t

Its 2 bad that the whole phones realy cool finish and uses get totaly blown to peaces when the battery cant support it...
Well Htc Diamond will be the first and last Htc phone ill buy
This together with how dam bad sound it has both in head phones and BLuetooth just makes it a bad phone for me atleast

Well... I think I'll just hold off buying a new phone for a bit. I will only be able to make an informed decision once the Nokia N96 (sucky battery too though) and the HTC Touch Pro will be out.

For me if it lasts a day then whats the problem?
Is it really that much of a hardship to plug it in on a night?

It should not be an option to let costumers have a low battery time like it is on the diamond.
Mine was for free so i should not mind. But i have about 4 other phones that are allso new that has 10 times longer battery time.
Only diffrence between them if Gps and toutch. Oh and that Htc has sucky sound on Bluetooth and normal headset
Dont get me wrong i like the diamond on many way. BUT I FREAKING HATE THE BATTERY.
And you cant say anything allse. All of you.

Yes, the battery life is THAT bad.
That the battery lasts a day is a myth. If you watch two movies back to back on coreplayer, you'll run out of battery in a few hours.
I think the solution is to get a second battery and an external charger that can charge the battery outside the phone. Does anyone know if something like that came out for the Diamond yet?

not sure if the cradle charges battery on their own..but i tend to charge my phone back up with the usb cable while im at work.

Rofl I think any decent phone will run out of batt when you watch two movies. Even my previous Nokia 6120 or any other ...

Its my first HTC.
Sound is not that bad if you buy a decent headset.
You can also upgrade the sound quality with WOW SRS HD.
I come from a SE W910i (Walkman phone) and SE K850i. (Camera Phone)
None of the above have 10 times longer batteritime than my HTC. None of yours has too.
If i use it the same way as the above phones the batteritime lasts almost just as long. (Calling, sms, music)

At the end of the day people... the battery is not as strong as we would like - never will be.
HTC could have designed a brick like the N95 and put in a higher capacity battery... but would you have wanted the phone twice as thick ???
Wait for the extended one from HTC, comes with a proper replacement back with the burshed alu insert around the camera too
I love the size of the TD... amazes me that it does what it does in such a small package TBH.

If you watch two movies on a lap top it will drain the battery too. I mean come on, even dedicated handheld video players onl have about 6 hours life.

good one... watching 4 hours of videos will drain any device.
For my personal usage the diamond now lasts ~2 days, im not calling much but i surf at least an hour per day on the diamond.

3 days here
im happy with it with my rom
3 days standby with normal use is ok for me

X1 Battery Life (1 year later)

The battery in my X1 lasted literally five hours today. A couple text messages, some wifi browsing, no calls. My phone gets to the 40-50% mark then my phone starts barking that my battery is low. Is there anything I can do to correct this or should I just get a new battery (which is the original BTW).
If I need to get a new battery, are there any authentic OEM batteries on EBay? I don't want to buy from SonyStyle because they are $54 after my discount.

My battery lasts a respectable amount of time. I listen to the radio on the hour bus ride to work, usually place a couple of phone calls, do some email reading, send a couple of SMS. Usually, my phone gets left on during the day for eight or so hours, then it gets similar treatment on the way home. I also usually make quite a few calls during the day, and it has Exchange Activesync running on it most of the time, and is using 3/3.5G connections. By the time I get home, the battery is often reading about 50%. Theres also various automatic downloads - for RSS, weather, social data and so on every couple of hours.
I've also not-charged it in the night, and it's been good for two days of this kind of activity, by which time the battery is usually on a low-battery warning, but still kicking, by the time I get home on the second day. I've found the battery to be something I can rely upon, but it's also massively varied with rom - battery drains crazyfast using the EnergyROM series, whereas the Rusch/Wildchild Manilla colab builds have relatively minimal drain.

is this with stock rom and radio? All these crazy manila roms are pretty hard on battery usage. Im trying to decide if my battery isnt holding as much a charge as it used to or if its the roms I've been using. I dont want to buy a new battery then find out it makes no difference

I use Wildchild's Pure WM6.5 ROM, so there is no manila.

i use energy leo rom and mine lasts 4 days with intensive use

My battery life IMPROVED!
Yes, you heard right! Thanks to newer Roms and radios the current consumption got lower, so the battery life got better.
Only on hard use (playing, surfing, etc) i get battery problems. But normal use allows me to use the phone 2-3 days. When my xperia was new i only could use it one day, because even in standby it consumpet to much energy (about 20% in 8 hours).

That's fairly cheap. But keep in mind that the battery only has 1000mAh with 3.7V output, unlike the original 1450mAh with 3.6V output.
In any case, you can buy a new batter after another year for this cheap price heh

I charge my phone every day .

i found on my country used X1 battery for 40$
but i don't know buy or not for 40$ used X1 battery?
i think no because i dont need used battery

You WHAT?? I charge my battery every day. I don't mind, because this is not inconvenient (charger @work and @home) and I too consider myself a heavy user. But FOUR DAYS?
I have noticed an issue, which I experience with both my original battery and a brand new clone BST-41 (still 1500mAh). This is that the battery will normally merrily dwindle down to about 20-30%, at which point the X1 will die. I then plug it back in, and once it's booted I find the battery reads critical, but of course it's charging. Once it's charged back up to round about 75%, it'll skip to full, and cease charging.
The net result is that only 70% or so of my battery is usable, which is very irksome. This is the case across every ROM I've tried lately (I don't remember it on stock, but I ditched that over a year ago).
Has anybody else experienced this? Again, this is with 2 separate batteries, so I must presume it is a phone hardware bug/fault/"feature".

Here's a challenge for all your Xperia's. To you who still has 3 - 4 days life span, could you try playing mp3's? strictly via earphones. say in1 hour and 30 minutes. See if the battery last for a day.
When I do that while going to work, My battery after 1 hour or so drops to 30%. I even thought why put this feature in the first place, what was SE thinking? Other SE music phones lasts until you decided to stop playing. I know. Iknow. It's not a music but what the heck... 30%?

I left my X1 playing MP3s on earphones. From 100%, after 4 hours it read 73%.
@G. Leche: maybe you had left the screen or WiFi on. The screen, WiFi (and/or push internet), and GPS are the main battery gobblers. And how's your signal? Frequent G/E/3G switching (or simply having to search for the signal at all) will increase the radio's battery consumption 3-4 times

nope. not at all. in fact "nireklamo ko pa 'to sa SE SM Carpark" told them my phone's a bit warm. Brought 'em there 100% went around shopping and played eheads on my ear. Went back to Se after an hour so they can have a look. and they all said "normal". I guess your lucky, I bet yours is black.
and oh, naka sun cellular ako. maybe it's part of the battery drain.

yup, mine is black.
hmmm... sounds like something is using up your batt. maybe an app? i was driving around a while ago and had nitrogen on the external speaker. that's the only time it gets warm when playing MP3s (due to the screen has to be on if you want to use the speakers)

I worked at AccuShop for some time - they are generally nice folks.
Maybe I can do a review!
P.S. 1 year old, and no real changes. IMHO, the problem is that the box needs a good charge from a wallwart from time to time - always tricklecharging via USB makes the logic go bonkers!

Just got standard apps, and standard rom (SEUS). except for ms voice commander. I play mp3's through media panel btw.
I haven't even left mine to over charge, since I bought it. I always have habit though of buying a spare battery whenever I bought a new one, same goes for my laptops. But last time SE doesn't have spare batteries for X1 and since taking off of the cover can risk my phone to crack (just an educated speculation though) I don't see myself changing battery from time to time with my Xperia.

Sounds like a battery problem to me. Personally I would buy an OEM battery. Check online retailers for better prices. Using cheap batteries is a lottery.

See lots of 4000+ batteries and standard 3000, but are there any good 3500 or 3800? (want to keep normal back, no added bulk)
Ones I have seen look cheap and nasty (no brand) and I have a feeling they will add nothing extra.
Anyone got a 3500/3800mAh, did you get noticeable difference, worth it?

Its not possible to have a higher capacity (mAh) Li-ion battery without increasing its size.
I personally use the TrendON LG G4 Battery kit and have been really happy with it. While the batteries last about ~75% as long as the OEM battery, it comes with 3 (depending on the bundle you choose) and a wall charger. I ordered a (supposedly...) 3500 mAh battery online. It's the same size as the stock battery. My expectations are low, most likely won't actually live up to the rating etc. Either way I'll let you know after it's in my hands and I try it out for a day or two. Hoping it doesn't turn my beloved G4 into a pile of melted plastic.

Yeah I know what you mean, the ones I have seen look so cheap and ready to do more harm than good.
If some good company would just make one around that level, but bigger than 3800 and you need new case/adds bulk.
Fingers crossed one you get is all good.

You haven't paid much attention to LIPO packs since the beginning, have you? LIPO batteries are constantly getting smaller while packing more and more current capacity. A denser battery pack is possible just as a LIPO pack with the same size dimensions having less capacity than 3000mAh

Bit shocked Mugen have not done one, I see they tested a 3100mAh, but a extra 100? is it worth it, thought for sure they would have tried a 3200/3500mAh, but all there is out there is cheap no name stuff.

Well, my 3500mAh arrived. It appears to be very well built. In no way does it feel or look cheap. It is ever-so-slightly thicker than the OEM LG battery, and also slightly heavier 49.4 grams, compared to 46.3 grams for the LG.
The extra thickness and weight is to be expected for the slight (claimed) increase in capacity.
I popped it in and it fit perfectly, snug but not too snug. Just enough that I could hold my phone without the cover on, screen up, and the battery would not fall out. My stock black leather back fit right back on without a problem.
Powered on and the charge level was right around 80%. I charged it to full, then ran down to 5% or so. I repeated that a few times before evaluating it's performance.
Sadly I didn't do much to test the stock battery, but I can tell you I was never able to get more than 3 hrs of screen-on time. Same with 4 TrendOn batteries! The TrendOn batteries also occasionally caused problems where my phone would shut off when taking a picture with flash. Wouldn't turn back on until I switched batteries. Maybe it would've had I plugged in a charger, but I never tried. That would happen even if the battery was over 60-70%.
Also using the TrendOn, sometimes I would put a freshly charged one in and my battery level would be stuck at 80%, never going up or down. Usually that would "fix" itself after a few reboots.
After using this battery for a little under 2 wks I can say I'm very pleased. I regularly get over 4 hrs screen-on time now. Using auto-brightness, and doing random things like browsing Reddit, XDA, watching YouTube videos, streaming music with Pandora or Spotify, etc.
I've taken many pictures with and without flash and haven't had a single reboot. Also haven't had the 80% bug. Both of which plagued 3 out of 4 TrendOn batteries.
Charges just as fast as the LG battery. Just over an hour from ~10%-100% using a QuickCharge 2.0 charger, and stock or equivalent cable.
I guess only time will tell if this battery continues to perform as well as its been, or if it decides to incinerate my phone... Since I received it, I haven't taken it out. Haven't needed to as it easily gets me through the workday(sometimes the entire day) , even with moderate to heavy use. Now that I have a QuickCharge 2.0 charger at home, and in my car, I don't even carry a spare battery. 15-30 mins on one of them and I'm good for several more hours.

I got a 4500mah battery on the way to my house. Its a slim one so no new back is neede. Im not going to say where i got it or anything about it until i test it and everything. I dont want anyone odering it and somehow the battery makes the phone catch fire lol.

The 3500mah is the only one that would fit. any higher then a Custom case would be needed. I have one on mine and it's not that thick. I actually bought another case to fit on top of the one that came with my 7700mah battery. just look at my post and see the difference

Saw someone posted the same link a few posts up too. Figured I'd reply to let you all know that it's still working great. Actually had to swap to the original for a little when I was running out and didn't have time to charge. I honestly couldn't wait to get this battery back in. Still getting over 4 hrs screen on time, auto brightness, GPS and WiFi always on, NFC always on, Bluetooth on a good amount of the time and connected. I placed an order for a second one.

It just camein today. Doesn't feel as if it is cheap. Slightly heavier than stock battery. I haav to go through some charging cycles to let the battery settle. Will report back with anything new.

Been using the battery since my last post and well i like it. With stock battety i get no more than 2 hours sot and the new one i can get up to 3.5hrs. An im a heavy user. Using an anker quick charger it takes about the same amount of time to charge both batteries. Although the new battery does look really cheap it doesn't behave like a cheap battery. No over heatings and no shorting out when using too much. I provided some pictures of the battery just in case you want to know what it looks like.
P.S. I do go back and fourth between both batteries when they die out. For the first week of having it i soley charged both batteries inside the phone with the quick charger. Now i have an actual little battery charger which saves me a lot of time between charges.

the OP asked for a slightly higher capacity battery that fit flush with the OEM battery door, that gave better performance without adding any extra bulk and limiting case options. Of course a 7700mAh is going to last longer than a 3000-3800mAh. But that wasn't his question. They're EXTREMELY limited on case options, and take up a LOT more space in your pocket. It's something I wouldn't go for, but a 3800mAh battery that allows the use of all the OEM backs and cases while giving over 25% more juice sounds quite appealing to me
