There are major problems with Flash and Opera - yet the browser is perfectly capable of displaying flash and playing flash video in theory. But you get flamed for pointing out illogical shortcomings on this forum so...

Hi there,
Most of you will have noticed that the Xperia has from time to time some stutters while music blayback. Here's a fix for it.
After HTC had released a hotfix for Diamond, Touch Pro and Touch HD devices I thought it must be portable to our our device.
So after reading throught this thread I played around a little bit, did the same steps, and well, the lag is gone now!
All you need to do is to install sdkcerts.cab and the oem_misc.dll.cab.
Note: If you don't have sdkcerts installed and reboot your your device with the new oem_misc.dll
it won't boot and you need a hard-reset!!
The only thing chaged is one single byte in oem_misc.dll. The oem_misc.dll I took for editing is from the R3AA10 Rom.
Further information can be found in the thread mentioned above.
All I have to say now is a BIG Thank you to thx1200 for pointing this out and helping me doing this fix.
honestly, i never experienced such before, what rom are u using?
Happened to me everytime, using stock rom, my own, other custom roms...
Great!
I try this right away!
Thanks a lot!!

+1 for that. Never experienced that problem
I am experiencing this problem with R2A. But Diewi, one question: I don't quite feel like instlaling SdkCerts. There are so many apps in here which require it, but I've been able to run eveything without installing them. Will I really run into trouble with this one?
You will. Maybe you're using a custom rom which already cantains them.
If you don't have sdkcerts installed the check on loading the dll at boot will fail (those "core" dlls require a sign check) an the device will be stuck.
So, just to be sure it'll work install the cab.
Thanks for the patch!!
Cooked it in my new rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4236546#post4236546 (in the new beta)
Never experienced the problem myself but maybe some of my users like it
i dont use customs roms (i wont until 6.5 is ready providing SEUS wont give it to us), tried before but im back on the official from seus
i listen to music everyday and the only problem i have is that it takes a few seconds to play the next track when i click next
*hoping to get a fix for that too*
You might try the R3A beta Panelmanager and Media Panel. I think this fixes your Problem spikegotti, but takes a lot of memory.

there's no flash player 10 for mobiles.
There's only Flash Lite 3.1
Nope, not yet. Supposedly the new Internet Explorer that will be released with the X2 should be fully flash player capable, but we won't get until then. For the meanwhile, you can always download Skyfire for your phone. Skyfire can play a lot of flash videos and games, although the quality isn't too great, it will do the trick. Hope this helps.
Hi,
Can some one provide some info?
Market doesn't allow to download adobe flash player onto Android 2.2 - Rom: 3.14.161.1
thanks
Could you be more specific? What error do you get?
I'm not an expert, but as mentioned 1000 times before (you would know this if you would have used the search button) flash on legend isn't supported due to technical specifications.
So that's why I expect no new kernel bring us flash on legend.
If I misunderstood something all the time reading in this forum please feel free to correct me!

As i know flash 10.1 is alredy installed in modacos froyo sense rom for example, i can watch some flash movies, not all, but a few
Find the .apk on Google and install it if you must. You'll see it doesn't work.

That's Flash Lite. Enough for me and most other users unless you want to play Facebook games or watch some streams and stuff. There is an old article with an Adobe employee's statement regarding full Flash on "older" Android phones.
http://androidandme.com/2010/02/news/no-flash-10-1-for-1st-gen-android-phones/
Should still be valid so no chance to see it officially supported, I guess.
Don't be too disappointed though. I have tried Flash on my buddy's Desire. Considering the Legend's screen size, we don't miss much. Would still be nice to have it though.
Flash lite 10.1 seems to be installed on froyo ota vodafone rom.
I can basicly open anything i couldnt before so yes , it's been implemented somehow dont ask me why or how but it's not adobe's flash version.
I can even watch stream movies wich previously it warned me to install flash 9 or above.
EDIT: Wrong it actualy is adobe flash as i just got a Adobe Flash warning
telling me the follow error "This type of media is not supported."
If you use flash detect script in your browser shows flash 10.1 r123 and detect adobe flash playet.

As the title asks, will I be able to install Flash on the Xperia ZL? Since the recent update my SGS II received, (newer version of Android) I have not been able to go to some of my important websites anymore on my SGS II rendering the phone and Android far less useful to me. My SGS II also recently broke, and I'm in the market for a new phone and have the ZL in mind.. no Flash on the ZL is a deal breaker for me though. Is this going to be a problem?
No problem here. There's a flash player .apk available to install on any device - you just can't install it via market, it has to be sideloaded.
There are many threads/links where you can get it - like this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771463
I installed it on my Note 2 and it works great.
You will need a browser that supports it though. I know Chrome doesn't. Dolphin does, and many stock browsers.
Just to note that current versions of Dolphin no longer support flash, it was causing too many crashes.
You can sideload older versions of it.
I think it still works with the current firefox and boat browser.
Install a flash player apk manually then install opera browser it should handle flash perfectly even in your current device.
Thanks guys.
Hello, does anybody know if Flash Player can work on Android 4.3 (not the official versions for Nexus) ? I saw that it's possible to run on 4.4 KitKat Nexus devices ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548001 ), but i want to run on my HTC One, CM 4.3.1 Rom. So far, the only browser that seems to work for me is Puffin Web Browser, but the 'plugin is missing' error still came when i'm entering Adobe's Flash Player test. I've tried some flash player apk's with Dolphin Browser, but the flash player test still fails. If you know how to, please, put the right steps and apk version for Flash. Thanks !

Already did this, works only on 4.4 KitKat, not 4.3 JellyBean. I've tried with Mozilla Firefox, same thing.
