I found for many month a cab-file for the kaiser.
But on wm6.1 i have problems with my wm5torage 1.8.
I correct and update the cab-file and he goes with no problems on my HTC-Kaiser with
WM 6.1.
manual:
After installation make a Softreset.
In the menu/Troubleshooting aktivate
Disable concurrency and
Disable RNDIS on Activate
Testing on:
WinXP SP3 -----------> and WM6.1 8GB SDHC ok
Vista SP1 -----------> and WM6.1 8GB SDHC ok
Ubuntu 8.04 -----------> and WM6.1 8GB SDHC ok

I am however still struggling This is the 1st version that actually 'Activates' on my Kaiser, all previous installs/re-cooks have failed at the 1st hurdle, with this one however it activates and Windows XP begins to see the Mass Storage device. Unfortunately that's where it stops though. In Device Manager a Disk Drive appears (WM5torag Kaiser USB Device - no it's not a typo...), also a new drive appears in My Computer. It is not accessible though, no properties as to it's size etc appear. The actual card is a 4GB Micro SDHC card and the ROM is re-cooked from the official 5.2.19212 release.
I have tried this on 3 different PC's so far - two XP SP3 machines and a Windows Server 2003 SP2 machine, all have USB 2.0 ports and the result is the same on each.
Any ideas?

You must wait sometimes 10-20sek.
Can you try a another cooked rom with another build?
Maybe your usb-Device is destroyed.
With usb-deview (this is for the Desktop-PC) you have a overview and repair-funktion for your usb-devices.
Any other have this problems?

It does not work for me either on Hyper Dragon III 19th Sept ROM. I see the device in Explorer and AutoPlay runs but then it tells me the card needs to be formated.
When i used the Card Export trail everything worked ok.
Now can not install it either so i can not try Card Export again.....

big deal! The program works on my MDA VarioIII from German Telekom (=HTC Kaiser, WM6, SPB Pocket Plus with Today plugin).
But I have a problem after desactivating USB mode and finishing the program. The cpu load goes up to 100% and can just be brought back to the normal level by a softreset. I found out that Shell32.exe and filesys.exe are responsible for that. When a desactivate the today plugin from SPB Pocket Plus all works fine.
Do you have any idea how to deal with this effect, I would not do without Pocket Plus...?
By the way:
When I try to activate "Disable concurrency" and "Disable RNDIS on Activate" no hook will be set left of the text to show that these options are activated. Is this normal?

The program work "principally" fine on my MDA Vario III from German Telekom (HTC Kaiser, WM6, SPB Pocket Plus).
When I desactivate USB mass storage and leave the program the system load goes up to 100 %. "Shell32.exe" and "filfesys.exe" are responsible for that. When I desactivate today plugin from SPB Pocket Plus all works fine.
Do you have any idea what happens here and how to deal with that?
By the way: When I try to activate the mentioned options, no hook appera left of the text. Is this normal?

Guyz..i have a very weird Problem..I just got my New Hima.when i got it it had WM 2003..then i checked everything..especially Sound all was fine..then i started Partioning but it didnt happen so i flashed anyway to Wm 6.1 by shekhar..there the problem arose..
the device became slow like hell..then i flashed to mine Wm 6.1 and it was the same result..
then i tried to flash 3 Wm 5 ..one by Helmi..one by shekhar and one by llbasha..same result
BUT the MOMENT i switched back to WM 2003 every thing was fine..even the sound..i used Hima DOC restore to have 14MB back and now every thing is set..but i cant flash Wm 6 , 5 or 6.1

What do you mean without camera?? I didn't think they ever made a PH10B device without camera unless it was created for corporate environment, in which case I imagine other hardware is different. Perhaps you can post a picture, front and back of the device.

It is a ghost of PH10A sitting inside PH10B.
Oweida has especially arranged this device for you so that you can enjoy two devices at a time...

Ather, your Himalaya is the original hardware model. The main difference, if not only difference, was the touchscreen hardware. Did you notice if it was a very dark screen on original phone?
This information definately changes thnigs. Your problem will likely have to do with the touchscreen.
Further, what is your bootloader number? V1.03 or V.104

Here are a few notes for you:
- I can't get the touchpad to work, might be a conflict with touchflo, will check
- The app display doesn't switch to landscape when one slides the phone out
- As the Kaiser slides out on the other side, the display in "keyboard" mode is upside down, and the D-PAD is also reversed.
- Keyboard works, but layout is wrong for most Fn keys.
Edit: Indeed, with touchfloSL off the touchpad works
- Would be cool to be able to use the keyboard while touchpad is active, and of course have the touchpad adapted to landscape when phone has keyboard out. That way one could really use the phone with keyboard out as a remote with both kb and mouse active at the same time.

Ok, I will check it. I have still my old Kaiser
-But automatic switch display works for me...
- I need to check Fn keys....
- Touchpad works to...
I need to change ROM to newest Alex series.
Maybe it depend on ROM.

Hi! First I'd like to say that this app is very clever and looks awesome!
But I've had no luck running it, and I tried absolutely everything. I followed the instructions step by step, opened the ports and tried disabling all security software. I tried versions 2, 2.1 and 3, USB, bluetooth or Wifi, none works. Only thing I didn't try is flashing a new rom. I'm still using stock t-mobile WM6 rom. Could it be an issue? Are there any apps that are known to conflict with Gremote?
I don't really want to flash a new rom to my vario2, and would only do it as a last resort.

I have an AT&T Tilt with WM 6.1 and when I run GRomote.exe, the phone gives an error. "An unexpected error has occurred in GRemote.exe.
This application requires a newer version of Microsoft .NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device."
How do I check what version I have and update it?

Standard Tv, or in MediaPC ? If you have PCI TV card and watch TV using PC, you can control it using my app. But standard TV required infrared comminication.

I needed to upgrade to a newer version of marketplace and it's up and running for me. However the standard dutch translation is really crappy (I can't even figure out if I'm really on a dutch translation) and there's arent that many apps ready yet. Only: De Telegraaf, MS Tag, MS My Phone, and facebook for WM. So I hope that tommorrow when al should be up and running there's more to choose from!

How do you upgrade? I have Energy ROM and not working for me...get error.
I also get an error when trying to connect to the server. I'm using the 09/20 Energy Rom. The error was after it connected and updated.

If you have a WM 6.5 ROM, the program should be in your windows directory.

I use Chrome rom and marketplace is cooked in. I just tried it and everything works. when you first run it it will update. i am able to install apps just fine. every once in awhile you get an error saying cant connect but if you hit retry it works fine. MyPhone does not work yet however. i dont think its live yet.

From what I read at Cnet the apps should be attached to your account so if you switch phones you will have to redownload but not re purchase.

I'm using NATF 5.6 on Fuze and also keep getting the 'serious error' I tried the resitry mod but that didn't work. I expect we will have to wait for NATF to fix it.

Works perfectly on my X1 (An old Touch-It, 10 I think, with SPB MS 3.5).
Still browsing, haven't been able to count the apps but way more than 37.
One problem for us flashaholics, it installs the apps onto phone memory. So one we hard reset or reflash, bye bye app!

People from different countries report varying number of apps. It appears to be country specific, anywhere from 5 to 200 apps.
I have 12mb free. I cannot afford to install anything .

This only happens in my Asus P535 with WM6.5 23053 build, on the Diamond with 23017 everything works fine... Exactly the same Cab/Update from MS...
same on mine x1, but i'm shure it's because of new framework 3.7

Since our machine has super limited ram, its kind of PITA to have modern apps running in our device like EzInput, TaskManager, etc which require to running in background as service which consume RAM. Just keep in mind, this machine is still not power enough for us to have full windows mobile experience (Kaiser use same processor but it runs better with more ROM & RAM). Thats why HTC only limit it to run SnapVue because they limit the RAM & functionality on WM side.
We need to close other running apps to run another apps to free up ram.

Very good ROM, almost perfect, much faster than wm6.1 and wm6.5, very stable, no problems at all yet. Well, one problem I have, where do I find Internet Sharing? I have installed XP in vista side so I cannot use HTC Control Center and can't get 3G internet connection without Internet Sharing in wm-side. With USB Tool I have connection to wm but no Internet connection? Is there only shortcut missing to Internet Sharing and if so, which file in windows directory is internet sharing?

What's the reason why we shouldn't use this rom? Is there some bug that can damage our systems or do you just think it's not good enough yet? I'd like to keep using this rom, works best for me.
