Remove or hide scroll bar?

Is there a way to hide the scroll bar? I think with touchflo working better now their is no need for it. Plus it will make pie and other apps look better!

Any help or suggestions???

Found this using google & infinite patience (credits to Mistellisch)
1. Backup Registry, then using a good registry editor go to
HKLM > Software > Microsoft > Today > Items
2. Find the Plugin you want to be scrollbar-less, in my case UltimateLaunch.
3. Glance through the entries and find the one that says "Type". Double click type and change the value to 5
4. Go into Settings > Today and make some minor change to your today screen to force it to refresh (or just soft reset). Hopefully the changes will now be reflected.
Worked magic on my Kaiser, hope it would for you, too.

I think you were referring to the scroll bar in general, not just on the today screen. If so, I don't know about completely getting rid of it but you can adjust the size of it. Maybe make it reeeeaaallly small?

Schaps Advanced Config.
Use Schaps Advanced config, to change the size of the scroll bar. I don't think you can make it disapper but, i you can make it extreeeeemly thin.

I have made mine 1px wide using KaiserTweak, seeems no ill effects in the last week or so.
My main issue was for Ultimate Launch so may give the other method a try.

touchflow better?
Hi,
How did you manage to have a better way of working of touchflow? I a using the original one coming with my device and when scolling in PIE for examle things are far from fluent.
Is there a cab to upgrade or thometing similar?

Thx man! You solved my problem with this information. Thx for sharing it.

I changed all my taskbar sizes to 0 and installed FTouchFlo. Now I have no scrollbars anywhere, but I still have TouchFlo

You can do it with Wisbar advanced, too.

Many, many thanks for this info kappa001.
Just what I need!

in wm 6.5.x, you can simply use livven's simple gloss themes (search for it!). the themes look great and use very snazzy looking "thin" scroll bars with no up/down or left/right arrow buttons. needless to say, the themes have a system-wide effect.

I wanted to get rid of the scrollbar on the calendar on the today page but when I changed Type for the calendar plugin to 5 the calendar disappeared completely. This is in 6.5.1 on my TP2.
What is Type "5" anyway and is there a 2, 3 or 4 also?

I tried 2, 3 and 4 just for fun and they don't help the scrollbar.

HTC Home Plug-in Tabs

hello,
i have installed the HTC home plugin and at first there were only 5 tabs. then for some reason another one appeared.
but thats not really the problem i gues. what i really want is to juust have 3 tabs. anyone know how to do that?????

2. Use 6 Tabs with htc home :
You need to edit your registry to get our music tab back,
HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome
Add new string,
Tabsetting = 1,2,3,4,5,6
You can change the order of the numbers to sort the tabs how you like
1 = Clock tab
2 = Favorite People tab
3 = Weather tab
4 = Launcher tab
5 = Music tab
6 = Profiles tab
refresh the htc home to get the tabs u can do it by unchecking the today contacts and then checking it and it will refresh and
people who missed the favorites home tab delete this registry key :
HKLM\Software\OEM\MASD\Quickdial
delete it and refresh that's all and u will get all the 6 tabs !!

Using this formula, you can also remove unwanted tabs by simply not putting them in the Tabsetting string.

if you are using the newer versions of htc home
settings->personal->today->htc home

Install a registry editor on your PC or on your device (http://www.phm.lu/Products/PocketPC/RegEdit/)

On the Tilt you could - using M2DC - assign i.e. iContact to the left or right tab (instead of phone and prg like default). TF3D customizer doesn't have thsi option yet. any hacks or a plan to do this?

Really simple actually.
I actually have 2 different .cabs one assigned to the left and one assigned to the right.
for the left I use SecondToday and for the right I use iContact
Here are the reg settings I use.
Code:

[REF] Unlocking/Changing the Locked icons in Manila 3's Start Menu

I found that the 5 locked icons (Home, Activesync, Contacts, Calendar, Settings) in the new Manila's Start Menu can be unlocked with some registry settings:
e.g.
For the HOME button:
Change the following value
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Program Launcher\0\IsReadOnly\1 <--(DWORD Data, Dec)
from 1 to 0 will do.
The same apply to the other 4 locked buttons.

Nice finding! And it works!
All you have to change in HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLauncher\...:
0 = Home
1 = People
2 = Calendar
3 = Settings
4 = ActiveSync

confirm working as well. change the registry, and soft reset. now i am able to remove all that locked icon and put all of my most used icons in the start menu. really great finding. thanks stephencwl.

Excellent Stephen. Putting this to great use!

I figured out you can actually add some more icons by creating some more entries in the same location
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\Program Launcher\XX\.....
where XX=23, 24, ..........
You have to copy the registry items in other original icons (e.g. XX=22) to the newly created XX locations.
However, I can see some newly created empty icons, but after trying to add programs to stick with it, it fail. The icons is still empty.
There should be some workaround somewhere else.

Manila 2D users
This is the path I have in my Viva for Manila 2D:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila2D\Launcher\0\IsLock\1 (change to 0)

Hi guys. I'm new here and I'm not an expert. I've just bought an HTC TOUCH HD Blackstone. I'm trying to increase the numbers of icons in the program launcher. I succeded it but the new icons dosn't work because it's impossible to add any program. I've tried to follow your suggestions without any success, probably because I've not understood exactely what to do. Could help me?

Volume Interface & Text Size

I'm currently using Miri's v13 which I like, but need to change a couple of things.
1) When I press the volume down/up it brings up the old style little volume control. How do I get back the full screen manilla style interface?
2) Text size in messaging. The text is huge! I can't see the subject's of most e-mails as it's so huge? When typing messages only 1 or 2 lines fit. How can I make the text smaller?

I know, I umm'd and ahh'd about that. If I'm honest, they are so busy and huge, I've done it that way before and you either get ignored or any response gets lost Sorry, maybe I'm being a little lazy or selfish?
Also, I don't think they are limited just to that ROM are they? I'm sure I've had the huge text on someone else's ROM too.
