[Q]BatteryStatus in mA displayed in Manila? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Is here way to display battery drain in mA or mw within TF3D? On the home tab would be good or in the status bar. I can get BatteryStatus by ChiTai to display this info but only after disabling TF3D. On my kaiser I used to find the mA an excellent way to keep an eye on what was going on in the background with radios and data etc.

Because TF3D disables all other Today Plugins I don't tink it's possible at the moment.
Maybe it's a solution to install SecondToday from ChiTai too. You can use TF3D und Today Plugins like BatteryStatus side by side, easy to switch (TF3D <-> Today) and with Diamond like style.

Purzel

Thanks Purzel I will give it a try. Shame they did not leave a spot within TF3D for plugins such as this to display.

I gave it a try as you suggested Purzel and the SecondToday and Battery Status combo worked. But really not ideal for me. I know there is already an application that shows % remaining overlaid on the status bar battery icon. What I have in mind is different.
Alternative status bar Battery Icon
Essentially the same Battery Icon that is there now with bars showing charge but with added feature of numerals showing mA drain. These numeral could either be overlayed on the icon or squeezed beneath it in tiny font.
The advantage of this arrangement is:
1) it would work with TF3D. This is because it would not be a today plugin. Simpy an alternative to the current battery icon on the Status bar.
2) Would enable user to always see charge remaining and current load.
I like the idea of always being able to see the load on my battery as often I have apps running in the background which are chewing through the battery. Conversely if the mA drain is low I know these apps cannot be running and all is good. Makes for an easy way to increase battery life.
I sent a message to ChiTai suggesting this as an idea for utility. However never heard anything back.
Essentially all the app would have to do is somehow ascertain current drain in mA and display it over the reaming battery bars on the icon. Nothing more. Be great if one of you clever programs could put this together. I reckon it would be popular.
Would any one else be interested in a replacement for the default status bar battery icon that worked like this?

battery monitor

SPB has a neat battery meter that runs across the top of the task bar for a few pixels. Is there a CAB for the battery meter only? I don't want to install bloat for a simple battery meter.
If there is no cab, can someone suggest a similar low profile battery meter?
spb pocket plus is what u are talking about.
pbar is a task switcher here on xda that has a similar battery meter.
theres a few free ones on the free software for pocket pc sites also that I've seen http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-pwrstat-v2-5.html

Remove the battery/conn/sound icon from the top bar?

I'm trying to make the top bar less crowded with crap (Volume, Battery, Connection, Phone icons take a lot of space away!)
I'm using wktask and it would look a lot nicer to have a somewhat full task bar!
Thanks (I already searched and couldn't find anything)
bump anyone please?
Have you tried Kaisertweak?
In 'Today Screen' there are several options including some to disable icons in the top bar.
Hope this helps...
Good luck
Well, the only tool i can think of is wisbar advance. It can also replace wktask.
yeah wisbar costs money though. and it doesn't look that nice.
I just liked Wktasks idea of turning the top bar into a task bar like in regular windows editions.
Also: Nothing in KaiserTweak
I have a funky navigation bar. It shows the connection status (Edge/Wifi), radio bars (with edge/3g/analog), and volume next to the X/OK button, but no clock/battery. When looking at the Today screen, the volume icon is hidden, but touchable (takes getting use to). When looking at programs, I can see all 3 next to the X/OK. I'm not entirely sure which bit of tweaking accomplished this, but I did choose, in KaiserTweak, to show "Nothing" for Today Screen>Title Bar - Clock Settings, and "Battery" for Today Screen>Title Bar - Battery/Clock.
I also used an old WM5 tweak to show the clock as Analog through HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Shell\AnalogClock as DWORD, 1
And another, HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\ShowTitleBarClock as DWORD, 0 and HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt as DWORD, 0
Also, ArielBattery can cover whichever of those you want (but clicking the battery icon shows memory usage only).
Doesn't seem to work for me. Ugh....thought it would be an easy fix too....

Battery Indicator

Hey guys has anyone got a fix or tweak to make the battery indicator and clock stay at the top all the time? Something lik the little dots at the top of SPB Pocket plus that works with touch flow, the clock isnt so important mostly the battery life...
anyone know the answer?
Try Ariel's battery application. Just Google it... Or find it here...

best battery app?

I've tried a few battery apps for android to display battery power left in the task bar and I don't know which one is the best to use. Anyone have any suggestions?

The only one I have cared to use is Battery Status it's free. It use to have the actual number on the taskbar on its battery icon.. but that's gone now.. so that kinda sucks. But it's still easily accessible to me.
I am looking for others also, but this one is basic enough for me.
Battery Status - Free; will display the status in top toolbar and has a nice widget if needed aswell.

Temperature in status bar

Can somebody point me to an app that can display the temperature directly in the status bar? BatteryIndicator only shows the percentage and I have to unlock the phone and pull it down in order to see the temp. Is there an app I can use to display the battery temperature (or CPU temperature) directly in the status bar?
Battery Status Pro does this.
[Edit] just noticed you wanted it displayed in the status bar. Don't know of one. Sorry.
I just use battery life widget on my main home screen. It shows temp right there for you on your home screen.

I don't want a widget, I just want the temperature displayed in my status bar. If you know an app that does that, please let me know.

I've seen one around, but can't remember its name.
Anyway, there's one for sure, just keep searching.
There's an app called tempmonitor but it shows systems temp not battery.... I think
Ijust searched for it and it looks like they're having trouble with it if you have froyo

Try with BatteryTime Lite
I too seek this functionality.
BatteryTime Lite gives a charge percentage in the status bar, but does NOT offer the ability to display the temperature in the status bar. You can drag down from the status bar display and see the temperature, but that is just as inconvenient as having to go look at a widget.
So, we keep looking...
Respectfully, I would like to know why this is important to you.

I am learning about over clocking, and I am concerned about overheating by running the CPU too fast. So I wanted to watch the battery temperature while I did my normal phone activities.
It looks like temperature is something that must be polled, (rather than receiving as an event) so this sort of functionality, specifically within the status bar, may be unattractive for a developer, because the polling would be more of a drain on battery and CPU, than just posting the new status when the notification comes in.
use "TempMonitor lite". It gives you a small icon in the status bar with the temperature of your battery. It's what i use for it. Good luck

Thanks!
As soon as I figured out to set the display color to white, it worked like a champ.
(The black default was invisible, and appeared non-working.)
Did someone answer this question? Interesten in app like topic author!
Found one, use battery monitor widget with a skin showing battery temp from here:http://www.3c71.com/notifications/ccc71.bmw.icons.ttc1.apk
