Hi, i have a question (or idea). It´s possible to have a dual sim comunicator if i´ll buy adapter for 2 SIMs to my HTC Touch Diamond? That adapter it´s for 2 SIMs but it must be switched 1st or 2nd SIM. Maybe any software can do DUAL SIM (=two SIM card runnig together)?
I doubt it's room for that in the diamond.
The Diamond would need Dual antennas for the two Sims to work simultaneously.
Even if the device could support two Sims then the only option would be for the Sims to Poll the antenna (one on and one off for a period of time- say 5 minutes alternatively).
take a look at the E-Ten Glofish DEX - the worlds first Dual sim windows mobile - coming soon or a network thats supports a second line on one sim - I know Orange in some countries do this as well as other providers. but not all phones support this - though the diamond does

I tried that. Bought me a dualsim-holder on e-bay. But you have to cut out the chips from your sim-cards and then put them in a replace-simcardholder. Further is the new holder to thick for the diamond, so it doesn't fit.
Dont believe what you see..

Dual antena, ok Diamond dont have two antenas, but maybe switching period can be faster (in miliseconds). Maybe some privat memory in RAM for processing or something like this. If you understand what i mean, the switching period looks like "running simultaneously".I´m not programator, i have just question about this if its possible to programing that software.

All that switching is point less as every time it was switched I would thing the SIm will have to register onto the network every time -

Anyone is using a dual sim with the Diamond? I have seem a couple of dual sim cards that it´s supose to work in Diamond but I am not really sure... anybody knows a model which works right on Htc Diamond?
Hi. I've been using a dual sim on my previous WM phones with no problem. Will try it on Diamond in a few days when I get back home, and will let you know. If you don't hear anything by Wednesday - Thursday, pls PM to remind me.
I have also used a very nice prog for changing swaping between the 2 cards on the Today screen, but I guess that if you use the HTC today, will not be able to use that one, and you would have to go through Start\Programs.
Hi, I'm using SIMore Black 1 in my Diamond. It's working well, but do not expect use 3G or HSDPA.
SIMore is compatible with 3G phone, but doesn't work if you use 3G, you only can access to GSM band...
I contact the support, and they let me know that I've been screwed... They do not garanty 3G use...
I have an analog dual sim adapter inside my o2 xda diamond and it works perfectly. My girlfriend has the same one in an htc diamond and it's working there too. Never had any problems with it. HSDPA/HSUPA working just fine. I believe it's a MagicSim 1st generation adapter.

Ok thanks I'm gonna look for this on google.
@Smaniac : it doesn't work on any SIM. In fact, if I let the settings in Phone\Band on auto, no way to get network on both sims. The only way to get it work is to set it on GSM, and then no 3G or HSDPA...
EDIT : I'm in France, using Orange and SFR Sims.
Thanks all
christis, ok I will wait for your answer
chineseseleper, can you check and tell us exactly the model? I have read in other forums people who say that MagicSim doesn´t work in Diamond. The MagicSim you can find at this moment I think is 20th

Are you using the new 6.0 version or an earlier version of the SIMore Black 1 ?
I have been looking at this one and if you go on you tube there is a video for it to.
Anybody using it or know of it?

this is interesting! dual-sim-cards!
so how does this work, I checked out the magicsim website, it's not really clear there..
so, is it possible to recieve calls from 2 different sim cards without switching around?
all new apdapter don't work. you need the oldest ones, the analog ones. they don't interfere with the sim card. i don't know where to check which model i have, but i believe its 1st gen.

Sorry for being late in replying. I messed up my main sim during cutting, and although it works on it's recovery adaptor, it doesn't work on the dual sim. it is 100% sim problem. Otherwise, the dual sim adaptor (2nd generation) worked perfectly in my previous WM phone (asus P526).
I will try to change my main card and check the diamond, with the software I mentioned before, on the today screen (the one that the card installs in Start\Programs, shouldn't have any problem.
Anyone got any new info so as if v6.0 of SIMore Black works with 3g/HSDPA???
I don't know if it can be of any help http://es.youtube.com/results?search_query=htc+diamond+simore&search_type=&aq=f
All I've seen so far is that dual sim works on 3G phones, but I've never seen the 3G band in action. Every demo is GPRS/EDGE only.
So the question still stands, does the dual sim adaptors give me access to the 3G band?

Hello,
I am looking for a dual sim adapter that I can use with my 3UK sim for HSDPA/3G data access and my Vodafone sim for texts and voice calls.
I do not mind cutting up my SIMs or having to restart my phone to switch between sims. I have heard that the "Simore Gold 1" sim works, but 70€ is too far out of my price range!
If anyone has any recommendations or experiences with dual sim adapters on the Diamond, that would be great
Many Thanks,
T

Do you have this card working? How do you change SIMs within the Phone application on Win Mobile 6.1?
That is a SIM cloner, which works only (I believe) with v1 sim cards (I have one myself). These went out of usage many years ago. There is no way to clone modern cards yet reported in the wild. Worse using SIM cloning software on a modern sim card may break your sim.
I don't have the information to hand, but it is out there. These SIM cloning kits are not a solution for modern, data enabled, SIM cards.
I've been closely following dual sim options since the release of tytn. I've bought many, and not had any work to my satisfaction. The only option that I have heard positively reported, for phone and data, is the simore gold.
I wouldn't! )
Just offering my humble opinion. I looked into the possibility of sim cloning some months ago as I have two sim cards and it would have been nice to be able to use both of them without going through the hassle of rebooting every time you want to switch.
I searched and searched for hours and found plenty of information (on XDA and other websites) and although I don't remember all of the technical details, it isn't possible at the moment unless you want to risk breaking your sim card (which sounds very likely from what I read).
I'm not sure what sim cards are used in India. I do know that the v1 sim cards can be cloned but (as mentioned in the previous post) they are pretty much out of use and have been for some time, so I would think that it is unlikely that you have a v1 sim card.
You can check out the articles here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIM_cloning and here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sim_card.
The first article says at the top of the page that it needs some clarification but it does discuss the sim cloning scene in The Bourne Supremacy (referring to an earlier post in this thread) and how long it would have actually taken if it were possible; 4-8 hours to extract the Ki and some knowledge needed of the SIM card's PIN (CHV1). (Citation needed for italicized text.)
It also mentions a 40% chance of damaging the card. Sorry, but those odds are a little too high for me!
The second article is a bit long and technical but might be helpful to you. (I started to get a headache about halfway through it! ROFL)
I'm seriously considering the Simore Black 1 (v6). Can anyone confirm that 3G/HSDPA data and "3UK" sims work with this adapter?
Thanks

DOH! Just checked your post again. This one is NOT supported on the 3 network. I'll go ahead and post this anyway just in case someone is looking for a dual sim card and doesn't need 3 network support.
I appreciate the help

When looking at these type of devices you need to consider very carefully what you consider "compatible".
Advertisers may consider the ability to make 2G phone calls as compatible. These devices may not allow 3G calls, or data.
I'm toying with a simore gold, because it will be worth it if it works with 3G and data. I'd like some more anecdotal evidence that it does before I commit, at that price, though.
I'm done with buying cheap dual sim adaptors. I've got a desk draw full of them that are unsuitable for my needs.

Ah, I see. Point taken. It's probably best to avoid a newbie's advice! LOL I haven't actually used one in a while but will definitely consider carefully before I buy another one.
Hi all! Just a contribution from me: I bought from ebay a Magic Sim 20th dual sim. In other phones works but in Htc Diamond only sim1 is recognised.....Does the analog ones really works? And if so, where do i buy it? Thanks!
I'll be waiting too for those who had an experience of using a working dual sim adapter on their diamond. I hope those who tried simore gold will share their comments.
I saw in eBay a cheap device that can copy 2 or more sim cards in 1, this really works? I need to put 2 sim cards in my hd2 and I don't know what will be my best shot, are the dual sim adapters working fine in our HD2s with Android?
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Software & device for copying sims never worked for me as most current SIMs have read limits & constantly reading data in process of cracking encryption in order to duplicate renders original SIM dead before a sucessful copy can be made.
dual SIM adaptor works for me on WM, expect it will on android but worth waiting for Android user to reply.
Dual SIMs can be fiddly to setup & only a couple of types support 3G function, if your only using GPRS Edge then finding a cheap working dual sim adaptor is easy, 3G requires older analogue sim adaptor or newest 3G compliant type which can be expensive for one that works correctly. Plenty of threads with more info on dual sim adaptors in HD2 forum:

either a sturdy piece of paper or a thin piece of plastic(like what comes with the cheap screen protectors. trim it to slightly less than the width of the sim slot. slide it under the sim to slightly past half way and hold it there while sliding the sim out. this way the micro sim tray doesnt catch on the pins. easy to do and it wont damage a thing.... just dont force anything...if it doesnt come relative easily then reposition the piece you made till it becomes easy....
btw get yourself a reg 4g sim the microsims arent hspa+ capable from what im told ... unsure on that but my note is faster than my friends that uses the same settings but a micro sim...

Can anyone confirm this? That does not sound good for me. I had planned on using my unlimited Ipad micro sim in my new Note. You think I can get a full size data sim and tell ATT I lost my Micro sim and that I just want cut an existing sim that I already own.
Thank you for the tips. HSPA+ works just fine and is better than the iPhone (signal wise)

Micro SIMs are no different than full-sized SIM cards. HSPA+, LTE, or whatever else works just the same on a micro-SIM as a regular one. However, using a micro-SIM in your SGN is risky. You can really **** up your SIM slot pins.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I have an adapter that I use when I put my ipad sim in my laptop. Now that I dont have an ipad, I think I will try to get ATT to change the sim to full size one. It can be a pain removing sim and adapter. It's truly a pita to get the adapter and sim in and out of my mifi.
actually sims are different...depending how long you have had the sim it could be for the 3g and not set up properly for the 4g and now the lte.... easiest way is to walk into an att with the micro sim and ask if it is a 4g capable one...
i personally know that a sim can make a big difference in speeds as i had an older sim (3g) from an iphart 3gs... i used it in my samsung omnia 2 and it worked ok but hspa+ was never faster... a friend who worked there told me about the new sim cards that they were rolling out that were 4g capable because they were turning on 4g in some markets with the tampa bay area being one of the test areas... it made a huge difference in my omnia but not in a iphart because the iphart is not hspa+ capable...not even the treasured 4s...
as for getting a new sim... they really dont care to give you one and even if you have an i product and you request a full size one, just tell them you use it in a 3gs at times when you travel... they could care less...they arent making a dime off of it so they will give it just to get you gone to get a "paying" customer... plus if they try to charge you tell them tmo will give you a free one... but the corporate stores arent supposed to charge you anyway.....
with the right sim and the right apn you can load just as fast as the att version... i ran mine side by side and both did consistent 14,000 to 18,000 speeds.... and i dont have the att bloatware!!
hope this ramble was helpful ...
My stupid experience!
1. Got my SGN from Singtel, charged over night.
2. Went to China the next morning.
3. Put the China mobile SIM into the SGN, it ask for PIN.
4. Took out my Singtel microSIM from Iphone added the adaptor but SGN indicated no SIM card.
5. Try pulling out the microSIM and TATA I broke the pins.
6. Send it to Samsung China and got to pay RMB300 to replace the pins, phone will be back to me next week.
I still have not use the SGN yet!
I have a question?I accidentally put the micro-sim card in the microSD column. Now,i can't get it off.Can u guyz plz help me give me some suggestions .My phone model is Samsung GT-N7000. Please reply fast.Thank you:

it means two phones in one!
make and receive texts. /phone calls.... from both... sims
from any country sim or different providers
dual sim=== 2 phones in one
usually can only use one sim... calling or text out at a time
but can receive both at same time!
like a train with two engines at each end..... drive one way... then walk down to other end to drive other way!
Thanks. Do I have the choice to use software to turn off either sim? Don't know if it will be overwhelming.

You get charged for what you use as usual. If you don't use sim B then you won't get any charges. Just remember to disable data for the sim you don't want to use. If you make or accept calls, send sms or use data from sim B while in country A you will be charged and will probably pay roaming fees (some networks allow free roaming in other countries).
