Incorrect unread E-mail count - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hi! My Diamond shows that I have one unread e-mail. But there is no mail there at all. I have removed the e-mail account, deleted all messages and removed all e-mail syncing. Still it says that there is one unread mail...
I searched the registry and found the key HCU/System/State/Messages/Sync/Unread/Count which had the value 1. I changed it to 0, but after the next soft reset, it was back at 1. How can I fix this?

I had the same Problem! Here is the solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412480&highlight=mail+count

Missing Message Body Text

I've just set up Gmail IMAP on my Kaiser, but I can't seem to get any of the message body to show. I've used the folder setup to specify the entire message to be downloaded including attachments.
On a test email I have sent with subject as "test test test" with the same message body. Also attached a 200k jpg file. My Gmail account downloaded the message, including the attachment - but no message body!?
Any ideas why the message body would be missing?
I'm pretty sure it's not a Gmail or IMAP issue, as I had this problem on my Hermes (Vario II) with a POP mail account.
Thanks,
FrankyG
I'm afraid it's a Gmail issue: http://groups.google.com/group/Gmai...8284ba446c/dc821659318f2bd2?q=imap+wm&lnk=ol&
I've just had this happen on my HTC Kaiser and I do NOT use Gmail...
E-mail was working fine for months. Now when I try and view any e-mail (POP, Windows Live or ActiveSync accounts) the "From", "To", and "Subject" fields are all visible as well as any e-mail attachments. However the body of the e-mail is entirely blank. Outlook is set to download the entire body so it's not a "headers only" issue.
Also SMS inbox works fine...so it is only e-mail.
I've tried deleting the cemail.vol database to see if it was a database corruption problem but it didn't resolve my problem.
Any ideas?

Email Problem!!!

There's 1 mail appear in the blackberry inbox but I can't find to clear it. I read all mails and even delete all mails in inbox. The "1" mail still appear in my inbox. Pls advice
Here the same problem
AH this bug has done the rounds since wm 2003, its a problem with the internal unread message count becoming de-synced with the real message count. Instead of polling the server for unread messages, Windows Mobile keeps an internal database/registry key with this number... you can hack the registry ("HKCS/System/State/Messages/TotalEmail/Unread" Count Key or "HKCS/System/State/Messages/OtherEmail/Unread") or there is a no frills program that used to fix it back in the day....
http://www.freewareppc.com/communication/fixunreadcount.shtml
If you are using Blackberry Connect, when you provision your device it adds a registration e-mail under the folder system....so in your e-mail go to the SYSTEM folder and just read the new e-mail that says you have registered your device on the blackberry network.

Clear email counters after restore?

I have restored a sprite backup of my Tilt to a different/replacement Tilt (WSOD was beyond fixing).
The email accounts do not transfer according to sprite because they are hardware ID linked. However, the email counter still shows unread emails from the time of the backup and I cannot find anywhere in the registry or in application data/etc. to do this.
Does anyone know how to clear these email counters and rid the device of the knowledge of the prior POP email accounts that are buried somewhere but not accessible in outlook?
Thanks
RK
I am having the same problem after I did a restore. Anyone know how to fix this?
I found the registry entry that fixes this:
\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\State\Messages\TotalEmail\Unread
Just change the value to 0 and you're done!
Actually, this doesn't work. It will reset the counter to zero, but after you receive the first email, the counter goes back to the previous total.
It looks like the problem for me is that after I did a restore, one of my email accounts didn't show up, but the unread email counter still shows the unread emails that were in the account. If I try to recreate the account in messaging, it tells me it is a duplicate name even though it is not showing up.
Any suggestions?
I solved my issue by hardresetting and doing an advanced/custom restore excluding email. All email accounts except exchange need to be re-entered either way.
I solved my problem by using the attached program to fix my email account show it showed up again. After I read the unread emails, the counter was back to zero.
Thank you - email account repair
I was having similar problems and really appreciate you putting this program on the thread. It worked like a charm.

No envelope in mail accounts on TF3D

For some reason, my TF3D-screen does not show my Outlook emails (the envelope) anymore, although my emails are still in sync (when I look with outlook, everything's fine).
Instead the screen says: "no accounts". TF3D shows the unread count green number when new emails have arrived , so it knows of the existence of my outlook email.
Anyone any idea?
Thanks,
Any news???
Is 'email' checked with activesync?
re-enable it?
Yes, I have do it, but without result.

flo 3d imap account

hy guys,
I have a touch diamond and configured an imap account. So far so good.
My Phone showed me several unread messages. So I went online and read those messages with my browser (also imap) marking all messages read.
The little account icon shows no new messages now, but the flow scroll bar shows 1 unread.
Does anybody habe a clue? HTC wants me to ship the phone to them for repair....
Firmware is original HTC latest version from their website.
regards
Klaus

I forgot to mention, that deleting the account doesn't change a thing. Even without an email account it shows the green dot with the white 1 in it.

I think I had that too. If I'm not mistaken there was an unsent message somewhere... Just check all possible folders (of ALL accounts), maybe you can find it..
Oh, great thanks!
Who would have thought, that there was an unread message in the NOT used exchange (windows mail) account.
Problem solved, great
