Can anyone here in the US, has a Droid 3 unlocked, and tested with either an AT&T US or T-Mobile US SIM, and worked?
I searched and here is what I found:

Apparently Verizon tends to lock down the 850/1900 bands in the US, so that you can not use an AT&T US or T-Mobile US SIM here in the US. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!
It's locked down. You won't find any GMS towers in the US.
im debating whether to get the UK version or just wait for the US release. any one got the UK version and using it here in the US?
whats your thoughts on it and what speeds are you getting on your GSM network. ATT specifically.
thanks
HTC One variants are all the same other than the LTE bands. So it should have no effect other than you can't use LTE.
Anyone know if the north american model will work on the Sprint network?

sucks, sprint and verizon are always behind GSM carriers. Freaking 2016 get with the program.
So, should we unlock the phone or it works directly with the USA major carriers' LTE bands?
TIA
Will this phone work in the USA on Verizon?
No. GSM only. Verizon is CDMA.
