When you press the call/accept soft key, there is a button on the top right with an arrow. What does it do? When I press it nothing happens...
lol!
p.s. yes, I have tried to find this on the forum!
the arrow means clear or move back
Try tapping on a number and THEN click on the arrow button. That's right, it's the backspace button

sorry if this is a stupid question.
I have installed HTC EndKey on the Kaiser and I like the idea of binding it to my Red End Call Key.
However, I realised that it cannot be binded to the long press end call key on the kaiser as it is coded to lock the device.
I have AE button plus 2.6and i have heard that I can bind things to double and triple click for that button.
I have setup it to launch the end key when pressed triple. It WORKS. But the problem is that I can no longer press the end key to end calls or go back to the main menu!!
How can this be fixed? Thanks alot!
Just have AEB assign the red's single press to end/close action. I use single double, and tripple on my Red button with "end" on single press and it works fine. I don't have HTC EndKey installed.
Thanks for the hint! I have been stupid.
FYI:
I have assigned single "red end key" to "press red key" and then double and triple press to some other programs. The long press red key cannot be assigned to anything else on the kaiser as it is coded to execute a "device lock" command.
Thanks!
I've been wondering for a while if this can be done?
I never use this button , too many OK or Select button on this device !
Cheers
JY
It can be done with AEB Plus, but there are some minor issues, the first press opens the start menu, but the second press works as mapped.
does anyone know a possibility to have the home button on the td2 closing an active application. its kinda hard to press the upper right X with the fingers and would be nice to have it on that button... ohwell it should close the app and go to the homescreen actually any chance to get that working?
Settings / All Settings / Personal / Buttons and there you can change function of your button (initial value is "Today")
actually i only have 1 button to configure there.. and im not even sure which one is that... its called button 1... ??
this is the answer button long pressed.
i use that for soft reset program
In most applications the back key acts the same as pressing the 'X' on the top right corner.
Only in Opera, as far as I know & maybe YouTube, that thee back key will act as 'Back'.
sadly this is not true.. even if i configure the answer button to ok/close it does not work properly. for example.. i open calendar and use the back button or press answer button a long time it will not close it - its still visilbe in the tasklist in upper right corner of the screen.
or is there maybe an app which will shutdown all open tasks when phone goes to standby mode?
If you hold menu button, you get search which is exactly the same as hitting the search button. That's duplicated functionality. Is there a way to reassign the hold menu button action?

Currently holding the square screen button does a screenshot, rather redundant with Volume Down+Power. Any way to change it something else?
Never mind, it's the recent apps button/ alt tab button, whatever you want to call it. It's not the home button.
It can be changed in >Gestures>Screen Tools> Screenshot>recent apps key
