Hi there,
Instructions say to "press the side near the contact point of the battery." in order to have the keyboard pop out.
That doesn't do for me... or perhaps I don't know what place I need to press on.

It's about the Shift.
I'm guessing you haven't read my other posts regarding the 'disassembly issue' in order to have the harddrive replaced.
Oh well - I have put the Shift on my signature list too now.
Just to piss you off some more:
I got a Toshiba G900, and it's about as slow as the Kaiser. Actually it's a little bit slower, buuuuuuut: THE SCREEN IS 800x480
So, i'm kinda saying bye bye (i won't be missed, i know).

I know, isn't it great knowing we can NEVER get what we want ? But i realised what i do the most on my phone (1. e-mail 2. Opera mini 3.Phone calls) and i got what seems to fulfill my needs.
Interesting point, how does opera-mini works on the 800x480 screen ?

In a word: GREAT !
There's only one problem: if i choose the medium/small text (which gives me a page rendering close to a desktop browser), the menu bar and menus get very small -hard to hit with the stylus.

A cheap nokia could fulfil those needs, a Kaiser doubly so..
Since i Killed my HTC TyTN II. Ive been trying to find the solution for similar cases.
Many ppl damage their LCDs,or kill the Mainboard. And the solution is to send devices to repair Shops wich are expensive and take lots of time.
You can PM me for more info .
I will get back to ROM Cooking ASAP,and upgrade OS Versions.
I have been very busy.
I will change Splash screens from my cooked ROMS. Ppl told me they werent very professional,they are right. I know is not very nice to soft reset the device and the 3th Splash to be a "Naked Woman ". Anyways recook the ROMs and do what ever you feel like. I dont have time at the moment to recook them.
I hope ppl is still enjoying my ROMs,i am .

neither do I.
He doesn't ask anything, he just says he isn't cooking any more ROMs at the moment because he's working on... setting up some repair workshop for phones because he got frustrated of his being broken, and tries to draw attention to it? At least that's what I've underdstood...
can you maybe tell me the solution for my problem? I earlier had problems with the screen that when i put the device on, out of standby mode, the screen faded to a total white screen. I had to turn it off and on to get it to normal. Currently it stays white no matter what i do, i bought a new lcd, didnt solve this, now i have ordered a new flex ribbon cable, and hope thats the solution.

Phusio it could be the flex ribbon cable,but ist very dificult as it is flexible,it could be a defect on the sliding/tilt sistem that could have brocken a conection wire in the flex cable.
If after cable replaicement problem precists,try to place a new Mainboard,easy. Hope everything goes well.

Yes, and it was the same on all WM5 phones... I posted the thread in post #1 with a fix for WM5, the reg in WM6.1 might be similar enough for those entries to be the same. Unfortunately no one will test it, so we may never know.
whats the big deal with your phone having no warranty. Just do a backup before. worst to worst you'll have to do a hard reset.

I appreciate your concern. BUT as was said a hard reset restores any changes that are made to the registry. It's not like installing a new ROM where a hard reset does not return you to factory settings.
Also if you use a registry editor then you can go look at the registry to see if the registry keys are the same as the ones listed in the link. Whilst there of course you can also change the settings (and note the key content before making changes). If it does not work then just go back and change them back again.
The worst that can happen with this kind of cgange is that the device fails to start (unlikely). If the worst happens, do a hard reset and your back to factory settings.

A friend of mine went from a BJ to a BJ2 to a tilt, then decided an iphone was going to be better than what i had. I showed him a powerpoint presentation someone emailed me on my Fuze (touch pro) and he kinda just tucked tail between legs and probably has device envy now.
The ipwn is a slick device, but nowhere near as powerful as most winmo powered devices.

Uhhhhh, no. Perhaps you are confused as to what Assisted GPS actually is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGPS. Also, most (all?) phones that have GPS actually have A-GPS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_devices_with_Assisted_GPS . So what the hell was your point?
