Hello
coming from a WM20003 were Bluetooth activesync was no problem at all I struggle to set it up now on the Kaiser and WM6.
1) I paired the Kaiser with my Windows XP Laptop without any problem
2) I select outgoing com part in the BT settings as COM 8 (it was Com 7 on my MDA II, but Com7 is not available on the Kaiser)
3) I select activesync as service on the laptop
4) I enable com 8 in the active sync on the PC
When I select now connect via bluetooth in activesync menu I got the message " Cannot find an existing bluettoth partnership with a PC that support activesync. Would you like to create a partnership now ?"
Not able to break this circle even when I paired again .. even if the pairing is started from the activesync dialog screen .. any idea what is wrong ?
Help needed ... Freecall
Delete the pairing with your PC and then initiate the pairing again, from your PC (not from your kaiser!)
When the pairing completes, you should see the services available on your kaiser screen showing 'activesync' which needs to be checked. Then start activesync and do the 'connect via bluetooth' again - it should work, works fine on mine.
Activesync via Bluetooth: working
OK guys, here's the way I use to get it done...
1. Make sure that bluetooth is on and that there is a bluetooth COM port configured. (eg. COM4)
2. Activate the COM port in Activesync (eg. COM4)
3. Pair both devices
4. Activesync should apear in the services list of the second device
In case Activesync is not in the services list, check 1 & 2, disable and re-anable bluetooth and try again.
Good luck!

thanks a lot to both .. the trick was to switch off / switch on Bluetooth on the laptop again .. looks like the laptop did not initialze the com 7 and 8 correct even when the pairing information said so ..
but after switching the HW BT on / off it works now .. even mnotes syncs now via BT
Merci !
Does any one have a link that shows how can I ActiveSync to Vista's Mobile center , via BlueTooth. The Kaiser can see the notebook via bluetooth but does not recognise that it is cappable of ActiveSyncing.
This is how I Activesync most of the time.
When you open Activesync on your Kaiser, there should be an option on the Menu to connect via bluetooth.
It normally configures the port etc automatically.
Hi Guys,
I'm having a huge issue with trying to sync my tytn with my laptop via bluetooth. I am able to pair them, and I'm even able to connect up using PAN DUN and connect out to the internet. but I am unable to sync via bluetooth. Everytime when i go into activesync on my phone and hit "Connect via bluetooth" it says "cannot find an existing bluetooth partnership with a PC that supports ActivesSync, Would you like to set up a partnetship now?" when I hit yes it takes me to my bluetooth settings page under the mode tab, where i can uncheck "Ton on bluetooth" or "Make this device visible to other devices"... other tabs are "devices" "com ports" "sim access" "ftp" "timeout" "profiles" and "security" Nothing I have tried will get these 2 things talking to each other via ActiveSync. What am I doing wrong. I checked my laptop and it allows via bluetooth under the Windows Mobile Device Center. I tried recreating the pairs, still nothing.
I looked up some tutorials about creating com ports and I tried that method 2 but it still didnt work. I had this working before I switched to the vista mobile v3 rom, so I'm wondering if this is a rom specific problem. I would greatly appreaciate some help on this. thanks
Hi everyone!

noone knows how to do it???
Pair your device with your computer, then connect to it.
You can access the HD2's Bluetooth manager in All Settings/Bluetooth.
To pair, either put your computer in discoverable mode and add it with your HD2, or the other way around.
To put your phone in discoverable mode, tab on the left (Settings) tab in the Bluetooth manager then look for the relevant option.
To put your PC in discoverable mode, look for the Bluetooth icon in the notification area, right click it and select "Open Settings", tick on "Allow discovery by other devices", and click OK.
To pair from the HD2, in the Bluetooth manager's device list (middle tab), tap Menu, tap "Add device", and follow the instructions.
To pair from the PC, look for the Bluetooth icon in the notification area, then right click and select "Add a device".
Once done, tap the "+" near the PC's name in the device list too see the available services, then tap ActiveSync.
The ActiveSync service will not appear if the PC doesn't have ActiveSync or WMDC installed, or if the device already has an ActiveSync connection established (i.e if you are connected by the USB cable)
Successfully did it today ! In office without the microUSB cable but needed to transfer a file (also didn't have a microSD card reader with me).
First pair the PC with HD2 (enabled automatic authentication between the 2 from now on)
Confirmed ActiveSync include COM5 (or whatever in your case Bluetooth is using)
on HD2 side, ActiveSync > Connect
Whoala ! Just like the cable equivalent.

one more question..in this case to sync PC with PPC. Do the PC need a Bluetooth set to connect with PPC? If like that I think my PC can not apply for..I see only Laptop have Bluetooth set included inside..what a pity!
Anyway thanks for your share!
Best Regard!
the cognition rom is awesome but my bluetooth is not connecting to my car. it connects and then won't make a call and won't download the address book. go into bluetooth settings and says connected to my car system. when i go further into options for that device it the check boxes are unchecked for conect (connect to bluetooth device) and phone (use for phone audio) when i attempt to connect it fails. when i connect through my car it says unsuccessful. again, initially it does pair with the pin but it doesn't last for calls etc.
