I was wondering if anyone konws of a way to customise the splash screen on start up..
"Touch Diamond" currently appers on genric htc's. is it possible to maybe change to picture or own name.
Vodafone have their own "UGLEY" RED logo in its place so it is possible.

Seems like there are ways to change your splash screen on many other models, (hermes, prophet, etc...) just wondering if there's a way to change the splash screen on my herald... thanks.

in your windows dir is a picture called, welcomehead xx.jpg i think , check that out and change it and then reboot...should work.

So this isn't really a problem, but if I can change it I'd love to. When starting up, I go through the 4 color boot screen and it shows my radio version, rom version, etc. It was this way when I upgraded to WM6, and is still this way since I've upgraded to WM6.1 It also still goes through the splash screen after the 4 color screen. I'd love to get rid of the 4 color screen if possible. Is this changeable like the splash screen? Again, like I said, this isn't really a problem, it's just kind of annoying since with the original stock rom, it had another nice HTC screen. I currently have a Mogul too, and after the most recent rom update, it doesn't do the 4 color screen.
BTW, anyone want to buy a BA?

You know, searching for "color screen" in the blue angel forums came up with "NEED HELP!! How To Change 4 color Boot Screens". As an aside, try searching next time before starting a new thread.
As for your question, no, it can not be changed. Check that referenced thread for more information as to why.

How much, where are you, and what's wrong with it?
(I actually have been looking for one to referb my XDA IIs for my wife)
On the Tilt, right before the animated startup up gif is an AT&T logo splash screen (with out a new ROM). Does anyone know if I can use my own image there. I have changed the animated gif and the welcomehead (the standard winmo splash) but I would love to get rid of the AT&T logo.
The phone starts, AT&T logo, animated gif, winmo 6.0 splash, then home screen.

Ah, thanks. I did see that thread, but didn't read deep enough to see that the flash is the only way and that, that method doesn't flash the whole ROM. Thanks for the info.

i was meaning the screen before the animated htc ones..........u know either its "TZ" (on dutty) or "windows 6.1" on the original rom..how to replace those~

First check Attachment. This is my currect home screen. I made several arrows here and my question is: is it possible to remove those black lines? This is main question and second: if it's not possible to remove it, where is possible to change the color of those black/grey lines?
