Hmm, cool, I do a bit of hosting myself, any chance you give access to php and chron? There's some stuff I'd like to automate on my server, but don't have access to chron on it :-(
I've started an IRC channel on freenode for discussing open development for the Zio.
If you have any type of android development or hacking background, and are interested in modding this phone, please join.
For the lazy and those without IRC clients:
http://webchat.freenode.net/
Come on Devs, testers, tinker-ers!
Progress: I craves it!
How can I connect to #openzio with Yaaic on my zio. It asks for host and port number.
Sent from my Zio using XDA Premium App
just connect to irc.freenode.net
then under channels, type in #openzio.
Im not familiar with yairc. I use andchat -- much more customizable.
Also, if you're running a windows box, goto http://www.mirc.com to download windows irc.
running linux? just search for xchat in your package manager.
Hey I know this is completely stupid but when I go to the webchat.freenode.net it goes to login page but the Captcha image will not load tried refreshing and reloading several times enable pop-ups and everything that I can think of but can't get the image to come up so I can log in. I tried this in Google Chrome and also in IE still nothing. I downloaded Xchat irc client but cant find the #openzio chat from it.
Well i felt like hopping on the IRC recently to see whats going on with the Zio now days. It appears the Zio is dead based on how many i've seen in the room.... Sad days
Purpose
With all the rage around getting a Google+ invite, there is a small problem: Even with an invite, you might not be able to get into Google+ for several days. nibras_reeza and I have been working on a script that, once you've received an invite, will keep checking the signup page to see if you can sign up. YOU MUST HAVE AN INVITE FOR THIS SCRIPT TO BE USEFUL!
Features
* Automatically checks Google for when registration is open
* Displays a running total of refreshes
* Works in Chrome, Firefox, and IE (w/ Trixie)
Special Thanks
Nibras Reeza - motivated and helped me write this; running the notification form and general debugging
"_mousey" - fixed a caching issue, IE support, and debugging
"thrasher9" - "how many times have I pinged Google?"
Version
0.000005 - Fixing stupid merge issues (thanks Nibras and _mousey!) and merged _mousey's IE support (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15456658&postcount=201)
0.000004 - Merged changes from Nibras, _mousey, and thrasher9 into the main script
0.000001 - Initial
Instructions
READ THIS!
1. Install this script. For Chrome, simply download the file, drag it to Chrome, and authorize the install
2. Go to your Google+ invite, click on the "Join Google+" link
3. The script should take over--your browser will jump to the "Field Test" page. You can monitor this progress by pressing Ctrl-Shift-J to view the javascript console.
4. When registration "opens", the script will stop refreshing. You should see a form on the page asking for some info to sign up. DO THIS AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE!
5. Come back here and post about your success!
Note 1: Just because you see the sign-up form doesn't mean you'll get in. Therefore, it is pointless to leave this running overnight; even though you may see a sign-up form in the morning, chances are it won't work.
Note 2: If Google is not displaying in English, then you'll need to edit line 45. More info here (Thanks _mousey!) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15430390&postcount=161.
Note 3: If you want to run this in IE, use Trixie (Thanks _mousey!) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15425549&postcount=152
Implementation
(the boring stuff)
Original post: Link
Attached is a Greasemonkey script for Google Chrome (probably doesn't work for Firefox...). Install it in your browser, click the "view or comment" link in the invite you received. The script will find the "Join Google+" link, save the URL, then navigate to the page. If the page contains a DIV with "Field Trial", it will wait 5 seconds, then refresh. This should happen until either a) Invites work again, b) Google opens G+ to the world, or c) Google gets pissed at you and blocks your address.

I successfully used this script to sign up for Google+, and so have many other people.
Not necessary anymore. Use the version by Adam above. He integrated mine into his.
TIP for Android users:
(Some said this works but I can't make any guarantee. Worth a try.)
Apply for an invite in my form using a GMail account. Once you receive my invite, download Google+ from the Market(use Market Enabler or Root Toolbox and emulate a US carrier if you are outside US. You need ROOT.)
Now, sign into your GMail account on your phone. (Settings->Accounts and Sync->New Account->Google) Skip this if you submitted the account you already use on phone.
Open up Google+ on Android and sign in.
ONLY ONE PERSON HAS TO RUN THE SCRIPT. ANYONE CAN CHECK STATUS PUBLICLY.
SCRIPT UPDATED. USE THE NEW VERSION.
Here's a fork I made. This version logs available times publicly on a Google Docs Spreadsheet. I want someone who has a spare unused invite and has not registered to run it continuously.
And, I owe a lot for Adam to working so hard to write the script. He did all the hard work of digging into the code. xD I just made a fork. lol
Here's the public URL(TIME IS IN +0530GMT/+1030EST):
https://spreadsheets.google.com/spr...pUTOhdHdwLUZOTmlOWHNvbzR0M19iSTNzdmc&hl=en_GB
Just subscribe by notifications for changes made to the doc and you will be notified by email when registrations are open.

Exactly.
Think of it as a club: You're standing in line (G+ invite) waiting to get in. The bouncer finally decides to let a few people in (registration is open). You get lucky and he lets you in (success).
Damn! Wish I had my invite right now!
Are you still sending invites to the ones that registered to your spreadsheet?
Great work anyway!
Just another quick question which time zone is used for the times?

I did send an bulk invite a few minutes back. It's taking hours to go through.
The time on what? My spreadsheet which says when registrations are open? It's SLST(+0530GMT). I'll try to change it to EST.
Hello Nibras,
I installed the script and removed all cache and then clicked on the 'view or comment on Nibras's post'. It automatically navigated to the registration page but then never refreshed! or is it refreshing and I can't tell?
What do you mean by 'DIV with "Field Trial"'? How can I tell if the page contains it? sorry if this was a dumb question, but I don't understand it.
It's adam's script. Not mine. Don't bother about the div stuff. It just explains how the script works.
Just install the script on Chrome or Greasemonkey or Tampermonkey.
Click view or comment on nibras's post. Then the script will reload the signup page till Google allows signups. (Make sure you are signed into your Google account before you try all these.)
idk how to use this script? all it does is it blocks me from visiting the google plus website because it is killing my chrome with a lot of spamming a page which says: "available!" which will open many times until my chrome crashes
EDIT: damn my fault, i need to get the invite mail first! im sorry !

But it doesn't seem to refresh. Shouldn't I notice it refreshing every 5 secs.?
Open the Chrome JavaScript console, you should see a message every time it refreshes.

Not sure if I'm doing it right but I've been running it for an hour with no joy. I can see it refreshing but it always stays on Keep Me Posted
(This is with greasemonkey in firefox)
Anyone had any luck with the script? Seems like it should be exactly what I am looking for! (Thanks Adam!!)
The script worked for me. Thank you guys. ;-)

As long as it keeps refreshing your page, it is working. I would suggest moving the window off to the side and keep an eye on it. The right hand side of the page that tells you there is no room will switch to a log-in form whenever Google feels like it. The script itself doesn't make Google give you the invite any faster, it just makes you aware that you can sign-up within 5 seconds of it being available.
Mucho thanks, hopes I gets lucky now.

This is the console open for around 5 minutes with no msgs. I know its not refreshing, but I don't know why. I downloaded you zip file and extracted the JS file, then opened a blank chrome page and dragged the file into the blank page, it asked me if i want to install it and i clicked continue. When I go to extensions I can see G+ invited there. When I open the 'comment or view' link, it takes me to the post with the red button saying 'Join G+' and then automatically redirects me to the page attached, but it doesnt refresh.
Am I doing something wrong?
EDIT: it worked now after pressing Ctrl+F5 several time. I think it was a problem of cache, although I have deleted all cache and cookies.
Anyway thank you Adam and Nibras. Will let it run overnight and see what happens

I'll let it run over night then and maybe there'll be a present for me in the morning!
Thanks again for the script, I figured someone would sort something automated in the end and am happy to have found it.
I have another concern, could it be that chances for US residents are better than non US? do you advise me to use a proxy, or it doesn't matter?
I don't have any facts to back this up, more of just some thoughts into how I might implement the invitation system:
Let's say you start the script before going to bed around midnight. The script runs for 2 hours, Google allows some people into the system, your browser stops refreshing because you have a sign-up form. Success, right? I don't think so. My guess is that Google is allowing a set number of people to sign up at defined intervals. Just because you see the form doesn't mean that you will be able to create an account, otherwise, we could just sniff the form post and duplicate it for every member that wants an account[1]. So, you wake up in the morning, seeing a sign-up form, frantically fill it out, only to discover that you were ~8 hours too slow and too many other people beat you to it.
My recommendation is that you only run the script when you are within arms-reach of your computer, as I'm not sure how much time you have between seeing the form and having it rejected.
Thinking more about what Nibras and I have discussed, since this is a beta, Google would want to control the amount of people in the system. Also, they would need to have many servers to handle all the traffic. It would be dumb to put all those servers in one location (US or UK), as the latency would kill the experience for anyone outside of that country. So, if Google has a bunch of servers spread across the globe, then they would probably want to try to encourage people around the world to sign up, instead of just having 99% of their testers from one country. This might explain why we are seeing invites being sent at odd times, and why people are being allowed to sign up at odd times.
Alternatively, they may be releasing ~1000 invites at a time, first come, first serve. And there's some dude staring at a bank of monitors, watching all the threads across the net (just like this one), giggling as we try to figure out what they're doing. And this dude, whenever he gets bored, he presses a button and lets a few more people into the system.
[1] If anyone is nerdy enough to sniff the traffic, I would be curious what it is submitting, just in case I'm wrong. In theory, we could create accounts for everyone, at least until Google patches the issue.
EDIT: Odds for US or non-US people? I don't really think it matters.

- Give users at your company or school the chance to communicate more effectively
- Learn more about your location via brief, digestible messages
How it works and what we need from YOU!
MindPush is a location based application – so you can see messages that have been posted within 1/2 mile of your current location at any given time. Users are able to leave anonymous messages, so other users can view and interact with them once they are in the same location. This interaction can happen in real-time, but users can also see past messages in their location up to 30 days. If another user is active within the 1/2 mile range, they will be shown on the user icon and Proximity map. This is to encourage users to post new messages and interact with not only their given material environment, but the people in that environment as well.
We need YOU to start leaving your anonymous messages and feedback everywhere you go! Imagine a future where you can go into any restaurant, bar, clothing store, sports venue, coffee shop, etc. and instantly get useful information from your peers using MindPush. Feedback?
Has anyone tried this out yet? I would love to receive some feedback from the XDA community!
Thanks!
I tried it.. Good idea. Drains battery though im im gonna keep it and use it to see what its like. Does it only work in my area or can i use it to communicate with people outside of my city/state?
As of right now - you can only view messages and other users that are within 150 feet of your current location (we have/are considering making the range wider though...depends on initial download numbers and feedback). The messages will change depending on where you are located and what other users have posted in the area.
As for the battery drain - we realized that having your GPS location set while the app is running - and having the app call our servers to update the location of other users and various messages could be an issue for some as far as battery goes. Once you've logged into the app, press the menu button to access the battery drain slider. From there you can set the time interval for how often the app will call the server for updates which should help improve battery drain based on your preferences.
Thanks for the feedback and support! Please let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions. I really want this to be an app for the people and am more than willing to listen to how people are using the app and what could make it better! The iOS version was completed today and will be submitted to Apple for approval. Once that is done, you will be able to communicate cross platform and the numbers of users in each area should improve as the user base grows.
Update coming soon
We will be releasing an update soon to widen the range to 1/2 mile. Users will be able to view other messages up to 1/2 mile and see how many users are within 1/2 mile as well. This should really increase interaction between users and provide more information about cool things going on in your area! Let me know what you think.
Thanks

Want to know how to get steam games, TF2 items, CS:go items & Dota 2 items, Steam backgrounds, emoticons and other stuff?
Well, it's Tremorgames.
Tremorgames is a very good site if you like getting games for cheap. Basically you earn Tremor Coins and then redeem them for games, TF2 items, Bitcoins, Gift Cards, Steam Backgrounds, in-game items and more. 900 Tremor Coins = $1 USD.
Requirements:
A secondary email
A steam account (well duh obviously )
Optional: bitcoin address
Quick Start
1. First, Register Here = goo.gl/TcS2Hw
using that secondary email. Top right corner you can sign up or there's a register button on the menu.
2. Link your steam account in the settings page (you will need to do this to receive gifts/trading cards/other items from their steam accounts).
Earning Points (Coins)
Coins = games. Basically on tremor games earning coins is how you redeem your games. There are many different ways to earn points and there is something for everyone. They are always adding new features and ways of getting points so I will try to update this as they add stuff.
Watching videos – This is where I earn the bulk of my coins. It’s super easy and most are short clips. There is a videos section which has a few videos to watch but there are more on the “get coins” page. The tabs on the “get coins” page you are looking for to find videos are: Supersonic, Trialpay(rarely for me), SuperRewards, Matomy, TokenAds, PeanutLabs, Videos(leave this open for more videos to appear), V11 Videos.
Playing flash games – you can earn points from playing achievement enabled flash games on the site. If you are good at flash games you can get a reasonable amount of points here.
Log in daily – You get a login bonus just for logging in! More points the older your account is so remember to login each day
Trophies – You can get points for reaching certain milestones on the site e.g. no of friends etc.
Trading in items – They will give you points for trading in various items to their steam accounts so if you have junk in your Steam inventory you don’t want/need trade them in for points to get games.
Other offers in the earn coins section – you can try the other offers but again DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING. Go for the free ones like Surveys or on the Tasks tab you can do work like reading information about websites and reporting back (obviously don’t give away personal info and use your secondary email address).
Tasks - If you are good with doing little data entry type tasks or similar then try the tasks tab under offers to do CrowdFlower tasks which give a fair bit of coins, i've got into this recently for some quite decent coin earning.
Tips And Tricks
Use a different browser than you normally do. In windows 7 under volume mixer you can mute the sound from different applications so you can still have sound from your PC without all those videos you run in the background from annoying you.
Avoid using adblocking addons while completing offers. They generally need to track if you have completed stuff and adblocking will stop it quite often so I generally run on a different browser than my normal one with adblocking off. DO NOT TURN YOUR ANTIVIRUS/FIREWALL OFF. No matter what anyone advises you to do don’t ever turn your antivirus/firewall software. The internet is a dangerous place if you’re not careful.
Screenshot Everything! – The advertisers don’t always like paying out. If you screenshot when you finish a survey on the “thanks for completing” pages you can submit support tickets to claim your points on the various advertisers tab
Supersonic Videos – You can play all of these at once! 90% of them will credit you doing this saving you loads of time if you have loads of videos in your country. Then you can just come back and do the rest that don’t work 1 at a time.
SponsorPay tab has an offer called “RadioLoyalty Listen for Free & Earn Rewards” you can do this offer forever for 3 points every 10 minutes (you fill in a captcha at 10min mark to get your points). I usually close and reopen after filling in the captcha make sure I’m credited again.
Supersonic Mobile App Offers – You can use a program called Bluestacks which is an android emulator to run a fake phone/tablet to install the application offers onto. I sign up with a junk gmail account on this. A few of the phone offers work and you can get a reasonable amount of points from just installing and opening. You could optionally use your own android phone/tablet or iphone/ipad and just uninstall afterwards (one of my friends did this and he has been fine). They are normally apps with referral links to either google app store or itunes. These are the only downloads I approve of as they are off official app stores.
Peanutlabs Surveys – These can be really good, just fill in the qualifying for surveys info at the top of the page and you will get surveys appear from time to time. Even if you don’t quite fill in the survey right you will get points for trying. If you do manage to get to the end of the survey you can get big points though which those points could be enough for 2-3 cheap games but often points between 200-30.
Claiming your freebies!
Once you have a reasonable amount of points (some games are as little as 200 coins!). Go to the tremor rewards tab. There are many things to choose from here ranging from Amazon Gift Cards and Steam Wallet Cards to Steam Trading Cards, Games, Gifts and even bitcoins.
Be careful though as not all games are Steam Games so make sure that it says Steam in the title rather than Desura/Origin etc unless ofc you want those types of games. I occasionally use Origin but not as much as Steam.
Once you have purchased a game it will be approved on your profile.
Within 48 hours you should see a key to activate on steam in its place. (Bottom left of steam Add a Game > Activate a product on steam) to use your key. Or if you brought a gift/trading cards/game items you will need to add certain accounts to trade in steam with. Just follow the instructions on what account to add. (You will need steam guard enabled to trade in steam if you don’t have it enabled you should do so now as it can take 15 days to take effect).
Important:
Don't use proxy and don't create multiple accounts, or you will be banned!
Offers track completions via cookies.
Disable adblock otherwise you will not be paid.
Create an email for the offers to avoid spam in your real email.
When you change of offer wall (Supersonic, SponsorPay, etc) after offers completed, don't forget to clear your cache and your cookies (and if possible, change your ip). It will help you to be paid in the others offer walls because you can find the same offers.
That's about it, thanks for reading c:
