Hi all
well, I have a problem with sync. I can't see windows folder in my PC.
iI see only a folder with \ and internal storage but nothing inside of it called windows
make sure you have hidden files and folders visible on your pc.
i had that problem with XP and Activesync (Windows didnt show) it works fine with vista and wmdc
also are you sure you have activesync and not "disk drive" selected when you plug usb in?

Hi all,
I have Molski's 30MB G3 Rom (3rd Release) installed on my Wizard. Using Activesync, I can not browse the Windows directory from my PC. I used Resco Explorer and checked the permissions/properties of the Windows directory. I removed the Read-only, Hidden, Archive, and System flags from the directory and still no change. The windows directory does not even show up.
If I try to type in the \Windows into the address bar while browsing the PPC it bumps me to the C:\Windows.
Once I check the permissions again on the windows directory, the flags I turn off are still checked again...
set your pc to show hidden files. Does that do it?

Click to collapse
To be honest I'm not quite sure what you are asking but I think it is that your windows folder is not showing on your pc when exploring thru AS. Have you tried to explore via my computer/mobile device? Is it the same when you do?
After you click on the Explore button and the window opens, click on: My Windows Mobile Based Device.
It should be the first item listed at the top of the explorer window.
Then you will see all the root level folders ... including \windows.
On your PC, double check your Folder Options in the Windows Control Panel. Make sure "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)" is unchecked.
Actually that "hide protected operating system files" only applies to the PC.
It makes no difference when you are talking about your connected Windows Mobile device.
That option is checked on my PC, and I can see and browse the Windows Mobile \windows directory just fine.
When you first click on the Explore button it launches you into the My Documents folder on the WM device. To move to the root you need to click on My Windows Mobile-Based Device.
Me either can`t see windows folder, I tried both ways, with unchecked hide protecting operating blah-blah, through AS and My Computer, and I can`t see the Windows folder on my Kaiser.
When i try to install the call of duty 2 demo on my tilt, it gives me an error saying its not a valid pocket pc application. any help is appreciated.
connect your device to the pc, then run that installer from the pc
i cant connect my phone through activesync. activesync doesnt install on my computer no matter what i do. Is there anyother way?
run the installer on the pc, it should copy a cab file to a directory in C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync, and then copy that cab file over to you phone and run it
I can see my windows folder on the phone, but exploring the phone through windows and my laptop I don't see the windows folder.
correct.
You will not see your windows root directory via activesync. You need to make whatever changes you need on PPC via a File Explorer App.
If you use Windows Explorer, go into Tools (Press ALT to see the menu) > Folder Options and set it to show protected system folders and then refresh the window if needed. This is tested to work on Vista. As for XP, you can use ActiveSync and hit "Explore" to see it.
I have PC with Windows 2000, and connect the Diamond
as DISK Drive, If I copy files from Diamond to PC all ok,
If I copy files from PC to diamond , it can copy only small files, if the file is big (lets say above 1 Mega) seems like it
stuck..
If I connect the Diamond to other PC with XP all ok,
With the OLD P3300 its working fine (using CardExport program)
