My apologies to Dave Shaw - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Dave, I am very sorry for my sharp remark at you. I have searched and searched for the answer to this and many others questions and I guess my frustration is showing. I had no reason to take it out on you.
There is so much great information here that the shear volume makes it hard to find the answers to my simple newbe questions.
This forum is the reason that I decided to purchase my Tilt over other devices.
I am trying to gather the information [and the courage] to flash my ROM for the first time. All the information and the options are very overwhelming.
Again I was frustrated and did bad, please accept my apology.

Many thanks for this Terry, appology accepted.
Allow me to explain...
I prefer to assist people with problems rather than spoon feeding them answers or flaming them. All I have learnt on here is from reading the posts and Wiki. In this instance I was on my way out so just posted the wiki page link in the hope you would find what you needed.
In light of this post, I too would like to appoligise for my harse words in the previous thread. I am not normally that offensive.
Please feel free to ask me any questions about ROM flashing or upgrading.
If you'd like to know the best resource for ROM upgrading information the HTC_Kaiser wiki page has a ROM Upgrading section. Direct Link here.
No hard feelings.
Dave

cphicsoljah,
You are in the right place to learn about your new phone. FYI, though... asking questions like this makes people angry. When you registered on this site, I am almost certain you got an introduction of some sort asking you to read a LOT before asking questions like this. Do some searches, and you will find an abundance of information, and the people to help you.... but only once you get yourself started.
You have a great new phone/toy, now the fun part of learning and playing begins. Have fun reading!

Is there a good guide for a newbie Kaiser (Tilt) user?

I ordered an AT&T Tilt last week and I'm waiting for it to arive. I've been reading the forums a lot the past few days and learning about the Kaiser and some of the thins that I can do. However, I've came to one conclusion. There is just way too much stuff out there about tweaking this phone, ROMs, and software for the phone.
What I'm looking for is some kind of guide for newbies on things to do to the Kaiser/Tilt when I first get it. The best that I've found is this site. Are there any other sites on things to tweak? Software to install that are must installs? Any settings to change? Any info on where to start would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hey, at least I asked about where I could find more information easily instead of posting threads like "How to I put a new ROM on my phone?" and "What are some cool apps for WinMo 6?" and "How do I tweak my Kaiser?". I was asking for info on where to read this for myself instead of posting a bunch of threads that I'm sure have been posted 1000 times before. Also, the layout of this site isn't what I would call that intuitive. There is a lot of great information here, but I found it a bit difficult to sort through it and find what I'm looking for.
did you try searching?
Yes, I searched for "kaiser new user" and "kaiser first time user" or some other derivative of those terms and nothing popped out for me. I got results, but there weren't any clear cut results. Yes, someone that has much, much more experience on this site might have known which thread/sticky/wiki to click on, but as a newbie to this site, there wasn't anything obvious to me.

HTC Diamond

can anybody tell me how to watch sky mobile tv on htc diamond?
Sorry for not offering help (because I can't), but I had to write that this was the MOST innovative subject ever (not):
An "HTC Diamond" topic in "Diamond" section... You warranty that almost nobody will every look inside it (or in fact do look inside for the same reason I did).
Pitty forum software does not allow for empty subjects eh?
Jeakins
Don't take the reply by NLS (Senior Member!) personally, it is just that this forum is not really the place for a post like yours.
I have noticed that some of the people who post replys (not many) can be just plain rude & choose that option before explaining.
Were I you I would try a site like Coolsmartphone.com & join their forum or give your provider a ring.
Hope this helps.
there is a program called DiamondTV that can be found on this forum if you look close enough. i don't know wether you can watch your program with it, but it's worth a try

we are here to help each other ,,,,, is that too much to ask ????Mr. senior Member
This forum has rules.
They are to be followed. Except for the last sentance dig, the "Senior Members" post was reminding you guys of the rules.
Then you guys created this into a Flame thread, because "Junior Members" seems to think the policies and rules don't apply to them.
Guess what, they do. Here's a Link, Read and LIVE by these Guidelines.

This thread did NOT have a clear subject, the subject SHOULD have been, "SkyTV on my Diamond" or something similar.

Once again why you thought it wise to attack, NLS, or anyone for that matter is beyond me. Just because someone points out your mistake doesn't give YOU the right to break the rules.
Consider this a Warning to Everyone, If it DOESN'T contribute, Don't Post it!

Hello everyone!

Hello, i'm TyTN ★, i've joined this forum becouse i want to mod some things on my PDA, i'm not very new to hacking and flashing but i still have to learn alot of it.
And yes, username comes from the phone i use: HTC TyTN II.
I don't know why i choose that one.
I think i will be very active on this sub-forum so you guys will see alot posts of me.
If someone still have some questions you can ask me via this thread or PM.

No Sound
Are you still having the no sound problem? I had the same problem all I did was flash the newest WM 6.1 Radio (1.70.19.09) from the "Ultimate Radio Thread" (sorry i can't post links, my account is too new)
page, and all my sound started working perfect!
dude the other thread was closed to encourage more reading and searching and to reduce clutter and redundant threads...
by replying to this thread (especially with false information) with information regarding a closed thread you are eroding the whole purpose.
the radio you mentioned (1.27.14.09) is NOT a WM6.1 radio.
Wow, what a way to treat 2 new members...
Anyhow, I simply typed the wrong file name, now corrected and post edited so that it has to do with this thread (I did have a question for him, did he ever get sound working?)
And since when is helping a person who is new at something a bad thing? That should be encourage, so that they can help more people and spread their knowledge, therefore to actually -

No to encourage is what denco7 said in the other thread providing an answer along with a reason why people should use the search, XDA is not spoonfeed centre but a knowledge of information you can find very easily and the constant questions being asked repetitively only lead to more confusion and a messy XDA.........
So if you start the process quick towards searching\reading
"they can help more people and spread their knowledge, therefore to actually"

i imagine the word missing is help
Actually there was no word missing, the space was left for the quote I had.
Anyways, I was just trying to help, and yes I acted a little immature. Not a good way to join the forums, sorry ASCIIker for responding rudely, and sorry everyone else for helping promote "spoonfeed centre" lol

Thanks for checking this new thread out. I made this thread to let people take the chance to properly thank someone on XDA instead of hitting the thanks button everytime.
This thread is not suposed to change the way of thanking someone since that will always be hitting the thanks button, this thread is for extending you´re thankyou and thank a person in his overall activities and contributions out here on XDA rather than thanking for one post he made.
Rules:
- If you make a thank letter for a particular person than you do not make more posts about the same person, everytime you need to edit a thank letter to someone than edit your old post about him.
- Don´t make thousands of posts at the same time for every person, choose the one that helped the most and contributed the most. ( Of course if you see more people which are really helpfull and needed to be thanked properly by a thank letter than don´t hestitate to make another post here. )
Why did i make this thread?
First of all because there is a 8 thank hit limit per day and that´s really terrible, secondly because just hitting a thank button isn´t always the right thing to do.
And some people write thanks letters in threads where it is not a good location for chit chat, with this thread we can keep the threads clean of thanks messages and make those thanks messages mean more.
Example:
Dear @Planterz ,
You are the first guy that came up when i think about trustworthy contributions to XDA.
When i grind through the device suggestions threads to try helping people it´s always hard to find an unanswered question of someone because you helped him perfectly, you make good explanations about why you suggest particular devices and that prevents people asking those reasons and arguments.
You are a good help for letting people make good decisions without having to doub between devices anymore.
You are ´Da Real Contributor´ in my honest opinion.
Greets,
Elya.
