Can I get a UK Kaiser to work in th USA

Hi
any help would be appreciated I have a UK Kaiser (TYTN II) that I am selling and a potential buyer wants to know if it will work in the USA can anyone answer this or tell me if there is a ROM or something that would be needed.
Thanks
Kat
You should be OK with the stock ROM; I've been using a UK Kaiser on the AT&T 3G network for over a year, running the factory WM 6.0 ROM.
If his network uses GSM/UMTS standards then yes.
Thanks for the help guys

Difference between HTC Diamond and Orange HTC Diamond?

Is there any hardware difference in these two models? I have Diam100 I beleive which is original HTC phone.
Would it be possible to get orange HTC and unlock it and then use it as a normal Diamond from HTC with some customs rom and Hardspl in Europe?
AFAIK the difference is Orange logo at back and branded software. Nothing more.
And I have a HTC-branded EU Diamond and it is DIAM100.

Yes! you can do this with all diamonds and you can install every rom you'd like on every diamond phone because chiefs cook roms with DIAM*** wildcard

Touch Diamond CDMA Radio Question

Hi XDA,
im currently deployed in South Korea and i have a Sprint HTC Touch Diamond, ive unlocked it and changed the rom on the phone. Now my question is im trying to find a some of the South Korean Radio's and i cant find them....the touch diamond was released in south korea to SK Telecom and i believe LG Telecom. South Korea does not use sim cards here....the only thing they have that is remotely close to sim card is a Korean online banking system.....but back to the question could anyone here help me find the radio's so i can have a decent phone to use in South Korea. Once i find the radios i can get my contract switched to the phone. Thanks!!!

My love and hate for the HD7!

I love the HD7, but I HATE the “t-mobile” logo. It’s hideous! That logo will 100% make me disregard from dropping any cash on that device.
1) Can I get the European version and use it on t-mobile’s 3G network? I assume the new HD7 does not has hspa+.
2) BTW, why is it that the euro HD2 does not have a carrier logo on it?
anyone? whats do u think?
If the HD7 does launch on a international carrier I'm sure you can unlocks it's sim, but don't expect any Tmo-US 3G. Tmobile USA isn't using the 3G standard everyone is using and has been having a hard time getting support from unlocked devices.
Unlock
Do you think it will be able to be unlocked to AT&T in the future?

Im intrested in knowing this also. Had my hd2 running edge on us att,but that has got old want 3g or better
Telstra is the answer!
An Australian cellphone company by the nemae of Telstra carries the HD2. Telstra operates their 3G network in the 850mhz band which is the same band that AT&T primarily uses. I curently have been using an unlocked Telstra HTC HD2 (costed me $1000) on AT&T's network for several months now and could not be happier, I had to upgrade the firmware, the phone will not run in the U.S. with stock Telstra firmware.
As for the HTC HD 7, Cnet Australia is reporting it is headed for Telstra in early 2011 here is the link to the article: http://www.cnet.com.au/htc-hd7-339306576.htm . I would hold off buying it up untill more info is on xda about replacing the firmware to make it compatible in the U.S.
not sure about the logo thing, i havnt had or seen a phone in the uk with a carrier logo, im not saying ther isnt, i just havnt seen one.
Every year I have bought a new HTC device, but this time it looks like I don't buy one.
My HD2 can make more than the hd7, WP7 can be ported so I have no advice of buying the HD7
based on my experience with the HD2. O2 UK just branded the software, I suppose it was because this was the first HTC phone that they had without any hadrware rebranding. I imagine it was cheaper for O2 too do it this way.
I expect the HD7 will have an O2 HUB and probably colours. In Europe O2 will be provideing 16GB storeage as opposed to the 8 GB for the unbranded European version.
I expect the phone to be SIM locked like the HD2 but you can get an unlock coade from O2. We shall see
Here in germany all o2 devices are unlocked.
Amazon.de sells a HD7 without branding for 599 euros.
ugh. i just hate branding!
are all uk phones unlocked?
my hd2 was bought in europe unlocked.
id like to have an australia hd7, unbranded, and hope that it will work with att 3g.

If you buy a UK phone from a carrier (like O2, Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, etc.) they will be locked as they are often subsidised by the carrier, although the carrier sometimes unlocks them for no charge if you ask.
In terms of logo use, O2 doesn't seem to brand any of their phones on the outer hardware, they just brand the software. But they seem to be the only one - Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile over here seem to brand a lot of their phones on the case.
To tell you the truth, that T-Mobile logo looks kinda flashy, makes it seem more elegant... it's pretty funny how you are not purchasing a device and going through such a struggle, just cause it has the company name plastered on the top right corner of the device. Be happy it's not the device name:
The T-Mobile7
lol >.>?
Well... if it's just the Logo you're in luck. T-Mobile, at least in europe, is normally putting there name (and magenta color theme) in every spot possible on device hardware and software.
If you buy it unlocked from europe it will only support the 900 Mhz and 2100 Mhz bands, both of which are not in use in the US. The asian version seems to be the same on that front.
U can look up that information on HTCs homepage in the device specifications.
