I'm on VF in Australia and have had to use the reg hack and change my main network settings manually as the exception rule never worked for me... I'm just interested to know has any one found out a better way, one that will give me VGA VF Live for my diamond instead of the QVGA vomit i'm getting with the N95 browser reg string? Is there a stand alone WAP browser for VFlive or one that could be ported? Or can someone get this working on Opera... Maybe other carriers have similar WAP services?

I've now had my Trinity for a week and I love it. I did the latest ROM upgrade available on the HTC Europe site. The GPS and TOM TOM are great. I bought a car mount from Mobile Planet (Expansys) and it works better than the Magellan I was using. The phone functions work generally well, although not as crisp as my Cingular 8525.
I set up the MediaNet connections manually using the settings from the AT&T web-site, and it seems to work well.
There are cab files for all of the Cingular settings that are posted on the XDA Hermes/TyTn list, but I'm not sure if there are any settings in that cab that will improve my Trinity's connectivity. I'm also concerened that I may in some way disable the Trinity with this cab file.
Any Comments?

yeah does anyone have any cab files that automatically setup mms or medianet? I tried the ones for the hermes but they do not seem to work.

Here's the CAB I used with great results for all Cingular functions from high speed to MM text.
Here is one i had made for the tytn, should work on all phones... and works with wm5 and wm6.. it will provision Media net and MMS settings its on my free live page

Just asking as every so often, I get a notificationerror stating;
'cannot execut vcalpulg.exe'
I'm not over excited about it as I could turn it off and use the WM version. Anyone else have this problem or know if there is an update from Vodafone? Have looked on their site but cannot find anything on it.

I've not seen any Updates for the phone's software on the Vodafone site. A bit poor if you ask me

I don't have a link for live on mine but have the STK service in the programmes folder and that's it.

Neither, the vodafone calendar plugin which is in start> Settings> today> Items
Uncheck the Vodafone Calendar option and check the normal Calendar option.
This gives you the same information and is the same calendar
I have but that's not the point, lol.
As far as I can tell, the only point of that plugin is to put the Vodafone stylised calendar icon (as seen on all their other branded phones) on the today screen instead of the standard WM one. Bizzarre.
Personally, I think the best solution to such wanton waste of resources is just to flash it to the HTC ROM, and ditch all the vodacrap..

im an italian user, since 1 year i have used Vodafone Mobile Internet Wap with my Nokia COmmunicator e90 for go on internet with my device. THis vodafone promotion bring us the possybility to use only on phone device all wap and web services wilth the 80 port. All others services like voip/msn/etc are blocked....
Now i have buy the HTC Diamond device, problem its the follow: when i surf on internet using WiFi or others kind of connection i look websites rendered in the right way like on pc... when i use the mobile internet promotion i have all websites malformed, with 2 vodafone frames and all site template bad formed and useless....
I have call vodafone assistance and they said to me that diamond device ts unsupported by the vodafone internet network...but this sound strange...after some other internet search i think to have found the problem, and the problem is the UA (User Agent) value... this value its for example:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.0.04506)
I have try to edit the windows mobile registry like readed in some site for change this UA but situation its the same... i have also readed that maybe i need to mod some dll... its that true? someone can help me pls?

I have the same problem.. the strange thing is that with some roms and opera version it works fine and with other rom it doesn,t work..
For example i have used the dib2000 rom 1.8 full withou any problem and now with the 1.9 i have the issue that you describe.. (ps dib make excellent italian rom)
The opera version is the same (i think 2392 ita)..

Please help, i have got HTC diamond with original rom and want to watch sky mobile tv with my t mobile sim card, it wont work as t mobile says i must have t mobile rom on my diamond , is there anybody can help me to resolve this matter as i dont wish to lose my htc rom. THANK YOU
i think you can fool it into thinking you have a t-mobile branded device by changing the user agent of either Opera or Internet explorer.
Sadly, I don't know what you would need to change it to.
Anyone that's got a MDA Compact IV able to tell us the user agent from IE?

I have a couple of minor problems with my diamond.
I have this ROM on:

..and this is what i can't figure out:
1) why are days with appointements not market (diff color, or triangles in corners..) in touchflo2 calendar? if i'm to remember everything there is no point in a calendar.
2) i am unable to connect to 3g (or edge or anything).
These are the settings:
Name of the profile: Tele2 WAP
homepage: http://wap.tele2.hr
APN: internet.tele2.hr
Proxy: 130.244.196.090
I have no idea where to put APN and Proxy, because i can't find them anywhere when i choose to create a new connection.
3) Is there any other app for contact management that i could put in touchflo "ribbon" besides the default one? the default one is not practical at all.
4) can i put newer versions on touchflo3d?
I understand that i could probably find these answers somewhere, but i am a total noob and i'd feel safer if i got a straight answer.

1) As amazing as the cooks are on here thay dont have the same ability to qc there roms like htc so dont expect them to be perfect just be glad we have these cooks workin there asses of for us
2) if u think u should be getting better reception try flash a new radio.
3) APN Stands for access point name, you put in in the field that says access point lol also the proxy goes in the advanced settings at the end of the connection setup wizzard
4) yeeees ofcourse you can, the vga version of sence 2.5 has just been ported (Sence is the new name for htc's touchflo 3d ui) look in the rom development section for new roms with this version of the touchflo

Can i install new versions of manilla over the one i have on the phone? will diamond be able to handle them? thats actualy the reason i asked because people said that diamond becomes slugish with 2.5.
Actualy, it's not me, it's my friends phone, i'm just inquiring in his name.
Anyway, i'll try the network settings once more when i meet up with that frien of mine.

touchflo is massive, there are hundreds of files, its better to flash a rom with the version of touchflo you want, i think u can download touchflo 2.1 from the development and hacking section tho...
yeah touchflo 2.5 is even slow on my hd lol its cuz the hd2 is miiiiiiles more powerful than our devices lol
i would skip tough flow and go directly with something like SPB Shell V3.05. it's a lot more fluid and customizable

the latest build of spb shell 3.5 is not compatible with windows mobile 6.5.1 yet as it covers up the bottom taskbar and only leaves you the top one
