hi you all!
can someone please help me find a way to auto-delete the opera cache every time i shut down opera?
i have to do it manually now to keep my phone memory at its best... so it would be nice if someone could create a .cab instal for this issue!
thanks in advance
I can't guarantee it works, but there is an option in config to do this. In the browser address bar, type opera:config, and there is an option to clear on shutdown.
Must admit I haven't tried it though.

thanks... i will try it!
works like a charm! thanks alot!
also in opera:config can you change the cache location? i tried it ,but im not sure if it does that. has nayone tried it?
in Windows/Opera9/ there is file called "opera.ini" and you have to find item called "Cache Directory4=". My setting is "Cache Directory4=Internal Storage/temp/OperaCache". It is working without problems, Opera is as fast as when cache was in main memory, but remember that you need to change this after every hard reset of device (no problem after softreset) so maybe it is useful to create backup copy of this fiel and after hardreset overwrite file opera.ini

yes under User Prefs in opera:config you can amend the location under Cache Directory4. Works fine for me.
What option for deleting automaticaly opera cache?
Hi,
i'm not sure of my english language so can anybody tell me what is the exact option in opera:configuration to delete automaticaly the cache at the shutdown of the opera browser?
thanks
Eric
Opera:config, Disk Cache, Empy on Exit.
A strange thing is happening to me...!!! i've installed the Opera version described above on my diamond and despite the right entry in the file opera.ini
Cache Directory4=\Internal Storage\Operacache
...the cache files are saved on the internal memory in a folder named Storage Card
WHERE SHOULD I PROOF TO IMPROVE THAT ISSUE??
thx in advance
i can not believe it, i'm the only one with that issue?
what exactly is the advantage of the omnia opera compared to the one for the diamond?
huh? oops?!!
well..... i will uninstall that version, i don't find where is the issue coming from...!
maybe it's because the omnia doesn't have the same storage structure as the diamond...?
dunno, but I would try changing the path in the registry.

Hi jodeltje, i've search the entire registry and there's not entry to do this kind of changes, only in the file opera.ini but i did it and does not work, do you have the same problem as me..??
no sorry, I was just wondering why you used that version of opera...
because is a faster a responsive version, and support all the plug-ins flash, and wmp..!! the others work buggy and slow, which one are you using?
uhmm 2392, but I was thinking about 15233.
can I get it to open through the link in touchflo? and can I use the capacative part to zoom with 15233?

Yes you can get it, at my Diamond happens automatically after the installation. The zoom function works too, but others like we are usual from Opera for Diamond, take a look:

eventualy you have the "\" set to the end... my string looks like that:
Cache Directory4=\Interner Speicher\operacache\
(for GER-Roms take "Interner Speicher" for WWE "Internal Storage"...)
i use Opera 9.5 15233, too - and it works great...
under this link you can get my opera config
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=470245
open opera and navigate to opera:config. go down to users settings and change the cache location from this location not the regestry.
you can tell it to store it anywhere you want. depending what you SD card is called (Internal Storage, Storage Card) just type in \Storage Card\opera cache or what ever you want. make sure you save the settings before you exit. opera will create the directory for you the next time it tries to cache pages.

Hi jlavoie THX too for your support, i don't have the possibility to do those changes under the settings menu from Opera, i only can fix the cache size in under advance.
not thoes settings.
type opera:config in the address bar. all opera builds have this option.
after in the preferences editor, it is tward the bottom of the list(2nd from last). click on User Prefs and in it is the 12th setting = Cache Directory4
when you put oper:config in the address bar make sure the http:// is gone so the only thing in the bar is opera:config.
after you make the change continue down the list to the end and click save. you must also exit opera and restart it for the change to take effect.
it's amazing, thanks a lot jlavoie can you believe I didn't knew that prompt in Opera? I have solve the problem without troubles using your recommendation.....!!!

also on my raph800 this happens.
i only tested frx04.
but similar situation appears on some other build like neopeek's donut build.
it just freezes after booted. i'm can see the home screen , i don't touch anything, i even didn't enabe data. once on frx04 i waited an hour and it's still inoperable
In my Topaz I have the latest FRX05 and also kernel, roots.... I'm quite sure that has some problem with the 3G because the phone freezes some time after the signal was established and I can't see the 3G icon anymore. After 3 or 4 reboot the phone doesn't freeze but without Internet and 3G icon as well.
Have you tried to format the sdcard and replace all the files? Sometimes this helps to get rid of some fragments of files left from just deleting. try a fresh install, or try deleting data.img and creating a new one(on boot).
i have used frx04,frx05 but still freezing.Freze surf market, install and use the application etc. there is no reason for the freeze. i don't understand for why (my english is too bad i am sorry)
try change the SD card i had a problem with a 1g freezing befor but now with a new 4go SD card problem resolved !

Everything works now and faster!!!!
There is some problem with the APN and MMS settings they should be set up correctly to avoid freezes. Now I have every latest component installed and working very well.
Hi
I use frx06, have copyed FRX06\STARTUPS\Topaz\startup.txt to root of sd card
and booted with haret.exe.
I do not get the calibration dots (sometimes i get a half dot sometimes nothing(of course I have deleted the calibration file in the root of the SD card)) have seen on another walk through where the dots is, and after guessing where the dots is, after a while the os is showing up and I can do some tasks.
Picture 1: After 1 - 2 minuts the phone freeze when trying to make a call. I can do nothing.
Picture 2: After 1 - 2 minuts the phone freeze when trying to unlock the phone. I still can do nothing.
Please help
Hello!
System info:
I've got SGS GT-i9000 with CM7 as my firmware and GO Launcher EX as my default launcer.
Introduction:
Everything has been working brilliantly, but now I've run into an annoying problem. I recently installed couple of emulators (SNesoid, Nesoid...) and as I play them, I like to take screenshots from the games I play. There is a built in screenshot function in the emulator which I use (instead of the OS one), which saves the images to a "screenshot" folder (notice: it is not the same as "screenshots" which is the OS's folder).
The problem:
Since then I have noticed that most of my gallery thumbails have been replaced by the thumbnails of those screenshots found in the "screenshot" folder (which was created by those emulators). I don't know for sure that these things are related, but it seems weird that this new screenshot folder had my gallery thumbs all messed up.
So finally, the grand question is: how do I reset my gallery's thumbnails? Is there a specific cache folder or something where the system stores all the thumbnails, which I could easily just erase and start all over again?
I googled through the FAQ and made a forum search but couldn't find an answer to this. My apologies if this question seems reduntant, but I'd like to find the solution for my problem.
Thanks!
I think you should go to: Settings->Apps->ALL->Gallery->Clear data...
Let me know if it helped you

Hey there!
Thanks for the answer, however, it did not solve my problem I cleared the data as you suggested and rebooted my phone and still the problem persists.
