More email accounts? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

OK... before someone berates me for "not searching"... let me say off the bat that I've searched both these forums and the Internet in general for the answer to the following, but haven't quite found the answer... so here goes.
I am a happy owner of a Kaiser (is there such a thing as a "happy" owner of a Kaiser? ), but I have one question that's been bugging me regarding the number of Pocket Outlook email accounts that I'm able to pull.
Currently I'm using the SEVEN software for direct-push of a couple of my MSN accounts and my hospital email account. I also have my ActiveSync-sync'ed Outlook main folder, and three other accounts, all of them external POP accounts.
Counting? That's seven accounts. Now, when I try to add another account to the SEVEN software's lineup, I get an error message saying I've reached the max number of accounts. BUT... when I to into PO directly, and try to add another account directly, the menu option for adding another account is NOT there...
Either way, it appears (correct me if I'm wrong) that Pocket Outlook (PO) is capped at 7 accounts total, and won't let you add any more.
Now, someone will undoubtedly say, "just use QMAIL" or something like that. But I tried QMAIL and I don't like how it operates. I've tried the FEW other external-to-Microsoft 3rd-party software out there and don't like any of them because of 1) they don't allow pushed mail properly, 2) they're too hard to set up, or 3) the GI sucks.
Since the registry is the golden-boy for practically everything, I was thinking that somewhere in the registry there has to be a "number of accounts" key... but I've searched as much as I can, and haven't found it.
What I'd like to know from anyone out there, is there a way to increase the maximum number of PO accounts, and what is the method for doing so (if it exists)?
Thanks for keeping awake for my tome...
~ BereanPK

Just as a quick update to my own question, I did knock out the email sync in ActiveSync, and the "New Account" option in the Tools menu came back -- but when clicked on, it gives me the following error:
"You have reached the maximum number of accounts. One account is reserved for Outlook. If you want to set up outlook to synchronize with an Exchange Server, click OK"
BTW, I'm using the stock ROM 1.62.502.0, de-ATT'd (you know, the hard-reset, then tap soft-reset button).

I don't believe there is a way to overcome this limit.

Problem switching between sms & email

Hi guys,
Im running wm6.1 on my kaiser. As we all know on the htc today screen, theres the 3 buttons below the clock... email, text, and missed calls.
i get a txt, the middle icon shows ive got 1 message. i click that, opens up my sms/mms inbox... read txt etc... close screen.
i then get an email, the left icon shows ive got 1 message. i click that, but for some unknown reason, it loads up the sms/mms inbox. I have to then switch to my email account using the drop down menu.
This never used to happen, but it does it all the time now...
Also, i created a "new account" using my gmail address, instead of using the "outlook E-mail" account... could this be causing the problem? i dont want to have to flash my ROM again, but id like to get this all working properly.
Finally, i just downloaded Slithers CUBE (SCLPC w/FTouchFLO)... and i cannot find where i need to link the email button to in the config. yes, i am a noob, but id still v much appreciate any kind of help with this matter.
thanks one and all
I believe that the Email Icon is linked to the outlook account specifically and not to a user created account (Like Gmail). If it does not find a valid outlook account then it may open up the last accessed account (E.g SMS/MMS).
Hopes this helps.
i've just created/edited the outlook account so that its got all the details etc from my gmail address... but for some reason, it comes up saying error syncronising...

While you are inside the "Message" application (I do not know the correct English word as I'm using a Norwegian version of WM), you can use the left/right button to switch between SMS/MMS, Outlook and other additional e-mail accounts.

Hey Bjorn (sorry, i cant find the propper "o")
I can see what you mean, but my issue is more that it should simply load straight into the email account. And now that ive deleted the account i created, it does just that - loads straight into the outlook account.
However, i keep getting the "error syncing" message whenever i try to download my gmail email.

My intention was just to give you an easier method for switching between your accounts, as this method should be more user-friendly than using drop-down menus

Try this:
1) Download and run KaiserTweak
2) Find the 'HTC Application' branch.
3) Change the 'HTC Home e-mail button' to 'Open default Mailbox (Advised)'
I've had this same problem in the past. Essentially when you push the e-mail button and it's not working correctly it will open up the messaging app wherever it already is. So if you have SMS open (but minimised/off screen), then pushing the e-mail button will simply open it there.

Im afraid i've been one step ahead... kaisertweak was one of the first things i downloaded... originally, i did have the problem with it loading up the "choose accounts" messaging thing, and i changed that using the kaisertweak settings...
but im afraid, one day on, that i still cant download my email using the outlook account i searched lots yesterday, and found that people either used activesync to jumpstart the emails, or that it just randomly worked the next day. But ive tried both, and both have failed
please, someone, help me get my mail...
billgatessucks
Have exactly the same problem. Did you find the solution?
nope, no solution...
i was fed up of not having emails, so ive remade a new email account and i just have to switch...
tho i am looking into ways of remapping the softkeys so that one is assigned directly to going into your email inbox, and the other to start a new sms... two vital functions that dont seem to exsist on the kaiser

Email problems/question.

Ok boys probably as many of you do, I use various email accounts, 2gmail, 1hotmail, and 2buiss emails.
The question is: If you go on menu and select recieve/send (i have mine setup to manual cheks) does selecting this manual chek once, recives email from all accounts??? or do you have to select account by account and individually ask for emails???
And last, you are not allowed to earese the account that messenger/hotmail creates.
Cheers boys!
Well, since you have all that set up, why don't you experiment and let us know the result?
To sync all in one use ActiveSync for that. You only have to press the Sync softkey and all is done for you. I assume if you use messaging within one of your account listed only that account is synced but I did not checked that. Google around or try for yourself. I never used Hotmail so I cannot help you with that.
Thanks, so i should set up the active sync right and instead of going to my mail app i just hit active sync. Is that correct?
Thanks for your time man.
cheers.

several email accounts - receive together

I have several email accounts configured and want to check them manually. But instead of doing a send/receive for each account I would like to have this done for all accounts by pressing just one button.
Any ideas how to obtain this?
(Running the original HTC ROM 1.93.407.1, no modifications/config tools installed)
This is a nice idea but I think you need a other emailclient for it, I have been using flexmail in the past if I am right that client will do the job.
Willem
Thanks for your reply Wilsas.
Beeing very satisfied with outlook as itself I do not want to change the included email client due this issue. But thanks for the tip.
My hope was that it is possible an easy way by maybe with Mortscript (no idea, never used) or to configure the TF3d email menue to do so.
Maybe a simple program that does nothing else than performing the send/receive action for all accounts found when startet and then quit itself.
I don't now or you found already a solution for your mail problem, I found Momail http://www.momail.com/ this is a free mailservice which support Push and forward so you can receive all your emails in just 1 accunt and even reply whit the original account.
Willem
Hi,
Same here. I'm using mail2web for this. All my mail is forwarded to this account so I only have to sync with this one.
Bad thing about this is that when you reply, it's not using the correct account...
Thanks!
With the mailproviders that I use, I have also the possibility to "catch all" and was thinking about that too.
Due time issues I paused my researches.
I am pretty sure there is an easy solution by coding/configuring just a few lines.
With MortScript there should be something like Run( "tmail.exe", '-service "GMX"' ). But autoreceiving seems not to work.
Here is someone that comes a bit closer to a solution:
http://www.modaco.com/content/wizar...button-push-to-open-email-then-send-receive/#
An other way could be following:
A linkklick starts a script that sets the config to autoupdate for all accounts to (lets say) 20 sceonds and after some time change it back to "off".

[Info] More than 4 e-mail accounts

Guys,
With my tilt and TF2D if I had more than 4 e-mail accounts then I would get a down arrow below the 4th account in the accounts tab. So when I wanted to get to the other accounts I could scroll down.
Now with my Fuze (Both AT&T ROM and HTC Rom) I see 2 problems. First when I add the 5th account to the accounts list I get an error in Manilla.exe. the account gets added but I cannot select it from the accounts tab. I have to go to the tab, tap inbox and then pull down the list of accounts at the top and select the new account.
The second is that TF3D doesn't seam to support the down arrow for more then 4 accounts. Based on the error I am getting when I add the 5th and 6th accounts it seams that the code is still there and trying to work but fails.
Anyone got a fix for this? Any help would be great!
Hate to say this, but try a different e-mail client? Something like Flexmail for instance is superior to poutlook in every way, with the only downside (to it and everything else out there) being that it's not integrated with TF3D. With that many e-mail accounts you'll probably want something more advanced anyway.

I know I can use another client I was just hoping that some of these other great minds on here could point me in the right direction to make the OEM tools work. I know they did in TF2D and I'm sure there is a way to get the same result from TF3D.
Anyone?! It would be greatly appreciated.
4 mail accounts only???
hey all i have a cab (wont say from where) that i think will correct this issue. It is a cab for the EPIX but i think it might do the trick.
4th email fix
HOPE THIS WORKS! i looked around and i see where and how to upload files. Here you go and i hope this works.
Thanks justpe8709,
Can you also provide the link to the thread so that I can read more about what this cab does? That way I can see if this is what I need without having to clean up my phone from another cab install that didn't uninstall correctly.
Thanks!
well i got this .cab from a ummmmm non public site. so this is the only thing I have for you. If you want to message me your # i can call you and let you know more info on it.

Sprint - Push E-mail options

Hello all,
I've now had my TP for almost 3 months and am truly loving it. As you might know, I was a TOTAL noob to WinMo, and in regards to some of the more advanced things, I still am.
This brings me to my topic:
I would like to know if Microsoft Outlook allows for "Push" e-mail on to the TP. If not, what recommended E-mail systems are out there that can push to the TP (i.e. gmail, hotmail, yahoo)?
I am currently using Comcast, and was considering going the Mail2Web route, but it seemed too confusing...I know, I'm a moron. (As for "Seven", I've heard it's not yet stable and it severly taxes the battery.) As such, if anybody who has had success with Mail2Web and the Touch Pro, would you mind posting (or PMing) "step-by-step" instructions on how you got it working?
In either case, I also ask the more experienced people if you can either tell me or direct me to a site which explains the whole concept of Outlook, Exchange, and other elements of Push e-mail.
Thank you in advance,
- WildAce786.
Try seven.com you'll love it.

LOL, I was just editing that into my OP.
I've heard it's not stable yet in that there is a delay in receiving E-mails and that it places a large drain on your battery.

Although it is still in a beta stage I don't think it unstable at all and emails at least for me being pushed from gmail come within 2 seconds. I can't disagree that it will take a toll on your battery but that's the price we pay for push email. If anyone has any other suggestions I'd also be glad to know.

I use Mail2Web. It's easy to setup, just go to Activesync and add a server and use:
[email protected] (as the username)
ur password
and skip the auto detect the server step and use:
mobile.exchange.mail2web.com (as the server)
**Note-I don't use mail2web as my email, I use gmail. And what I did was set my gmail account to foward to the mail2web account, so I get the emails pushed from both. However, the outgoing email address it shows, when I send a message is the mail2web account.
I've been using this for a while, and it works pretty good. I get email notifications pretty much instantly with this setup, and also syncs my contacts, calendar and tasks online for easy backing up

I would like to keep 3rd party sources as a second option.
First, I would like to know if Microsoft Outlook has the ability to Push E-mail to the TP without severly draining the battery.
Now, if that is not an option, then I would like some clarification on the Mail2Web process.
1) Do I need to register with mail2web first?
2) When you said
go to Activesync and add a server

, where exactly is Activesync located and how can I go about adding a server to it?
I know I sound like a moron, but that's because in this matter, I am.
another option is EMOZE. Its a good alternative to seven if you just care about emails. it really dont do the contacts too well and calendar not at all. again good app if you just care about getting your gmail emails....
Well, after a lot of searching, I went ahead with steb0ne's idea of using Mail2Web LIVE. So far it works great, especially since I've set all my comcast e-mails to autoforward to the M2W account so I can receive them "instantly" as well.
I do have a few concerns though that maybe a few of you guys can address:
1) How does Direct Push actually work? Does it establish a connection every so often looking for new messages?
2) Generally speaking, how much battery life does it drain during the course of a normal 8-hour day if I keep Direct Push active in the Comm. Manager?
3) How good is M2W at keeping SPAM messages away?
I have used seven, mail2web, and the sprint mobile email app. I prefer mail2web over the others. The sprint app is based on the seven email program, but only allows for one email address.
With the seven program I have noticed a noticeable lag in receiving my email. I have sent an email to the an account, received in on my desktop and still dont get it for up to 10min on my phone. With Mail2web I usually get it on my phone before the computer, also the online system they use will save all of your contacts, calender so you can access it from your phone or computer, as well as have an easy backup if you lose your phone, or do a hard reset.
So if I use seven, which they and Sprint say my TP is not supported, does it still send from my email addy or some seven.com email?
for me its all but useless to just get email if I cant send it.
when i try to set up active sync i put details in , user pass server, there is a field "domain" which i cannot get past unless i put something in it , trying to use mobipush and their directions are to leave domain blank but if i do i cant progress on my screen the next button wont highlight, any ideas
