Hello all,
As titled. How can I kill a trynity?
I tried removing cable while flashing OS, but bootloader (3 stripe color) screen still come up.
I want it totally dead.
Bring up some ideas, I´m ready to try all to kill a P3600 unit.

Try flashing with low power or see what happens if you flash a 3600i ROM...

why would you want to kill it?
donate it to xda-developers for them so that they have a device to test.
Flashing your bootloader and pull out the cable during.... if u want it dead

Im guessing for a warranty or insurance claim to get a newer model...

flashing with a p3600i rom won't do (i tried that for you, you will stuck into bootloader. luckely i got him back to working mode.
but what do you want?
bootloader is like a PC without OS. that's the cleanest you can go i think.

Cant you do it the same way as everyone else? Sell your trinity on ebay for a massive loss, buy a new one on your credit card and fret about paying it off for the next 6 months??

Hey, I paid my phone same as everyone else.
Not using it for about 6 months, it´s getting dusty...
So I can do what tha hell i want.
I´ll find a way dont worrie. If not by software I kill him with voltage as last resort.

I say again, UNIT WAS BOUGHT AND PAYED.
So being there on the shell getting dust, and try to get insurance? humm what will I choose?
Dude, money is lost since the day I payed it, so if not work, won´t loose anything... duh.
PS: I´m only doing it, cause I got ensured that my claim will be accepted if phone get´s bricked in certain conditions.
I informed myself first. And by the way, ain´t the first time... so if not work this time by some strange reason, others worked and other will still work.

oh sure, I do not dispute that the unit is yours, and you can do with it what you wish... blow it up with C4 for all I care (actually... that would be kinda cool...)
The issue I have is the fraud you want to commit. Alot of people have had genuine issues with these phones and have struggled with claims, and now you want to make a fraudulent claim! Its attitudes like this which damage the reputation of owners with genuine issues.

Been there, done that. I used to chip the odd PSX in my student days. After a couple of returns due to nothing I had done myself I later insisted on us using the console for an evening first. Any hint of a problem and I wouldn't even open it up. Not worth the hassle, this is why proper repair shops have insurance etc.

No... That doesn't sound like good luck, not in the slightest. That actually sounds more like someone sold you a stolen phone; or you found a lost one.
Either way, the phone has been blocked. It's no good as a phone anymore.

It's weird that everyones recommendation is about to give that phone back, but confess to yourself - if you'll be in my position - would you return that phone back?

Yes, because I wouldn't be able to get it working. What's the use in having something that doesn't work?
Either return the phone to it's rightful owner or, if the phone is branded (or it is obvious what network it belongs to) return it to the network provider. Or hand it in to the Police.
You are going nowhere asking people how to get the phone functioning again. Basically you are asking advice on how to commit an illegal act.

There's no way you can legally use this phone, to do so would be stealing both morally and legally whichever way you cut it. You don't have to be "god himself" to distance yourself from a common thief, which is exactly what you're trying to be.

Can someone please interpret what the hell he just said.
Since i Killed my HTC TyTN II. Ive been trying to find the solution for similar cases.
Many ppl damage their LCDs,or kill the Mainboard. And the solution is to send devices to repair Shops wich are expensive and take lots of time.
You can PM me for more info .
I will get back to ROM Cooking ASAP,and upgrade OS Versions.
I have been very busy.
I will change Splash screens from my cooked ROMS. Ppl told me they werent very professional,they are right. I know is not very nice to soft reset the device and the 3th Splash to be a "Naked Woman ". Anyways recook the ROMs and do what ever you feel like. I dont have time at the moment to recook them.
I hope ppl is still enjoying my ROMs,i am .

He doesn't ask anything, he just says he isn't cooking any more ROMs at the moment because he's working on... setting up some repair workshop for phones because he got frustrated of his being broken, and tries to draw attention to it? At least that's what I've underdstood...
can you maybe tell me the solution for my problem? I earlier had problems with the screen that when i put the device on, out of standby mode, the screen faded to a total white screen. I had to turn it off and on to get it to normal. Currently it stays white no matter what i do, i bought a new lcd, didnt solve this, now i have ordered a new flex ribbon cable, and hope thats the solution.

Phusio it could be the flex ribbon cable,but ist very dificult as it is flexible,it could be a defect on the sliding/tilt sistem that could have brocken a conection wire in the flex cable.
If after cable replaicement problem precists,try to place a new Mainboard,easy. Hope everything goes well.

My friend had a G1 and he is a noooooooob
I rooted his G1 befor and instaled the CyanogenMod the new one which works with it . . .
after two days he came to me and told me : "I WAS UPDATENG THE NEW SPL THE DANGER ONE AND THE PHONE WAS GONE FOR EVER "
he was really sad but , so guys this is the problem :
it does not even pass the G1 screen and cant enter the FASTBOOH
or the recovery just the G1 black and white . . .

no, its not been solved yet. honestly? i don't think it ever will. whoever figures it out will probably get a good paying job with htc because i doubt they know how as well. if they did, they wouldn't replace phones. they would just teach people how to fix it.

Yes, correct. However, do you really think if HTC knew how to unbrick phones they would let you send in your bricked one for a brand new one? No. They'd either walk you through it, or tel you to send it in, they would fix it, and send it back.
Also, you do know the myTouch is like 400 dollars without a contract? Theres no way any company wants to loose 400 dollars because of a warranty.

don't unlock your bootloader now there is a way to save your phone for sure you get 100% warranty, i'm running custom roms with a locked bootloader I'm glad I waited use this approach instead.
Ok, now I'm lost again with this boot loader thing and the warranty

don't unlock your bootloader now there is a way to save your phone for sure you get 100% warranty, i'm running custom roms with a locked bootloader I'm glad I waited use this approach instead.

Its noobs who think that if you unlock the bootloader you'll void your warranty... YOU WONT... HTC will still replace the phone if there is a reason to that is the phones fault and not one of your own. Don't let the noobs scare you into thinking other wise.

There are 2 ways of modifying your phone.
1) Root it. You get the benefits of being able to run apps that require root but don't have to unlock the bootloader.
2) Unlock it. Unlocking it lets you run different ROMs. Something other than the stock android. Example, Cyanogen Mod. It's a modified custom build of android with lots of nifty things. But it might void your warranty by Unlocking it.
I'd suggest just going with ROOTing it. It's easier, less fuss, less to worry about and it doesn't void the warranty.

Are you on skype?
I got it from Negri Electronics and it IS unlocked already but NOT rooted.
I need to root it to get this font size program installed 'cause my eyesight sucks. That's really the main reason.
Yeah, I like nifty things too and I hate being tied down by locked stuff and so on so I'd like to open it and do whatever I want with it.
As for the warranty, I understood from Negri that HTC/Google covered the warranty and I THINK, that I could buy insurance through t mobile but checking on that.
Also, for those of you who are interested, Negri also sells t mobile contracts/by month contracts or whatever you call it.

If it's international, it's dirt cheap through google phone/voice

I can walk you through it on gtalk but I'm not really down for sitting on the phone and doing it.
It's going to be quicker on the phone since I"m a dumbass but I DO need help so I'll take it unless the dude that offered to do it over the phone chimes in, in the next few minutes
