is my 9100 dead??? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario Software Upgrading

hey guys, i was uploading wm5 back to my 9100, when at 90% it restarted, and in the installation it was showing me that my battery is empty, so i took out the battery, and placed it back and tried to put it in bootloader, but there was no hope, so i connected it to the charger, it was charging through the night and once or twice it turned on for 10sec`s ( itself) in bootloader...and now i took the phone off the charger and it has no sign of life, im trying to put it somehow in bootloader, but its not working...it looks like he`s dead...is there anyway that i can put it in bootloader!?!??thanks in advance!!!and even if i put it on USB through the computer it is not showing that its charging, and the same thing is happening when i put it on the charger, the orange light is not on...

Which is your device,G3 or G4 ?.If its a G3,the battery is dead and it won't charge in Bootloaders,It'll only charge with a wall charger, capable of 1amp out put or you may have to 'Jump Start' it and then it'll start to charge.
But,if its a G4 and if you had applied HardSPL to upgrade to wm6,it was essential to remove HardSPL and revert back to original official IPL/SPL and then reflash the wm5,otherwise the phone will be 'Bricked'

thanks for replying on my post,
i think that my my device is G4, probably, because the wm5 that i was installing it was Wizard_Love_2.26.10.2_WWE_Novii_CF2 for G4...
anyway how can i 'Jump start' my device?
thanks in advance

URGENT HELP!! MY PPC DUMBED YARDIM!!

While updating my (o2 mini s-K-jam-9100) with Aku rom, my ppc's battery get out of charge and updating interrupted.
I tried to power on the device but no answer. I put it to charge and connect to my computer , charging led doesn't light also I could not get into bootloader mode
Try charge it for a few hours with your original wall charger, or look for another (fully charged) battery from someone.
Then try to get it in bootloader mode, if that doesnt work I think you have a really big problem pal.
But another question, when running the RUU upgrade, they warn you that your battery must be at least 50%, didnt you notice that?
upgrade rom MrClean_RUU_WIZARD_2240001a_AKU23_WWE battery %25 bootloader mode impossible
I have a problem with wizard too. While loading rom error appeared and phone became dead (4 steps error message). I can't enter into bootloader mode. Phone takes ~0.11A and blinks while taking off battery. Battery changing and charging didn't help. Resets, manual bootloader mode, waiting for phone to boot... nothing. Totally no reaction. Any suggestion what's going on?
cold-reset to end main battery i wonder?

LOL no kidding...the app should really make you check a box or something acknowledging that your battery is fully charged before you can continue. And while they're at it, put a latch on the USB port that won't let the cable go until the update is done. If I ever run into one of those people that yank the cord in the middle of an update and then whine about it, I'll kick his ass. I wonder if they set their clock's alarm, then yank the plug out of the wall and complain the next morning when they're late for work?

8125 Bricked HELP !!!

I was trying to update my WM5 to WM6 I have the G4 8125 , now it wont turn on I plugged it in to the charger port and the light that shows it's charging doesn’t even come on. Last night after I was trying to update it went completely blank, I tried to run the Official AT&T RUU_Wizard_225111_22511102_022511_CWS_WWE_Ship_1 and it wont even connect to my phone it gives me the connect error, every now and then last night it would show the boot loader screen but now its doing nothing someone HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!! PLZZZ Does this mean my phone is bricked ???
Sounds like the battery is dead at a guess. As you have already seen the bootloader screen that is a good sign. You need to charge the battery away from the phone either in a cradle battery charger or another persons phone. If after charging the battery the phone is still dead I am afraid it maybe RIP.
I am sure others may help you far better than me though
Shew , i hope it is just the battery if its not the battery is thier anything else i can do for the phone ?
I am now in the same boat with my K JAM
What was you trying to do to your phone ? the same thing i was ?

Most important is to get your battery fully charged atleast, I think it has gone flat, how are you trying to charge the battery ?,it won't get charged through usb cable, cuz usb cable will not charge in bootloaders,it got have a working OS on the phone and only provides 0.5 amp(500 amp power),where as now it'll only start charging if you connect it to a 'Wall Charger' which provides 1 Amp (1000 Amp power), or get a charged battery from a friend and check if your phone gets into bootloaders,if it gets than my friend your saved.WELL,IF NOT,.....I'm afraid you gotta shinny expensive paper weight on ya desk.
which Upgrade Rom were you trying to flash and as you have a G4 device, what method did you adopt to flash the Rom ? a G4 device can only be upgraded through SoftSPL or HardSPL method in case upgrading to a custom build wm6 Rom and or can only be flashed with an official Rom.
Secondly ,if you flashed a G3 specific Rom which includes IPL/SPL in it,will definitely "BRICK" the phone
I just wanted to thank everyone for your help , i got my new battery in yesterday and my phone booted up flashed back to at&t orginal rom. Thank So Much.....

No Battery, stuck at tri-color screen

I was flashing my phone repeatedly last night. I've read the forums and have done about 4 successful flashes already. The problem is, I've found a WM6 rom for the Wizard that I wanted better than the ROM already inside my phone, and I proceeded to flash it. But I left the computer and phone by itself so that I could rest a bit (I've spent hours in front of the computer flashing my phone), and fell asleep. When I woke up, I noticed that the flashing failed, and it was at the tri-color screen. Then, it died on me. No battery, obviously, being stuck at the tri-color screen the whole night. Now, it doesn't charge or turn on. I know I just need a battery to run the phone. But where I'm from, batteries for the Cingular 8125 are rare, and I'm one of the few that has an 8125.
I don't know anyone who has a battery for the 8125, and there's nowhere to buy from here. Any recommendations?
First of all be sure that you haven't flashed a G4 ROM in a G3 device (or vice-versa) which would have made it a brick.
In case you haven't screwed up the bootloaders then look for the battery jump start thread that teaches how to revive a dead battery
good luck

First os all your Wizard is not a brick. To revive your battery try using a wall charger to charge you battery, or you can leave it attahed to a wall charger for some time and it should start charging after 10-15 mins (becoz one i got a dead battery and did the same) Once the battery is revived then flash it to a Official ROM, afterwards any custom ROMs or what so ever. I hope i helped. TC
i've the same problem!!! i leave the phone attached the whole night to the charger...but it was in bootmode, so it doesn't charge!!! it hasn't the power to flash my phone...when it arrives to the 85% (when the phone write into the flash memory) it reboots.....what must i do? i tried to jump start...with a 12v adapter...but nothing....
It won't charge in Bootloaders,as it doesn't provide any charging circuit .The phone must have and boot up to a working OS (Windows) to start charging, only then it has a charging circuit.
Try to get a fully charged batter ,may be borrow it from a friend or try to charge your battery with friends phone, flash a rom and only it'll start to charge.
i know....but...i have not a friend with a ppc like mine!!!! and even if i'll buy a new battery....how can i charge it????? a friend of mine has a qtek 9000....but the battery is different from mine.......

No need to buy a battery i say you use a External Battery Charger. Because even buying it would be cheaper then the battery itself and would help you in future too. I hope i helped. TC
Thanks

Thanks, dude. I never even tried charging it with the wall charger. There seems to be other people that have the same problem as I do. Now my phone is up at the tri-color screen, and I'm charging it, then Ill start flashing again. Thanks again!
No Problem but now remember if you find ppl with same problem (on the forum) dont forget to guide them to this Thread. And no need for the thanks. TC

@ianestradalives's as zabardast_1's has said, your phone WILL NOT CHARGE unless windows Boots. Either buy a new battery or find someone with the same phone or an Orbit(as they use the same battery) also if you buy a new battery it generally arrives with enough charge to use for flashing(It did for me anyway). The only other way to do it would be to buy a dock with a second battery charging slot. Using the wall charger wont do anything except stop it from restarting ,while its plugged in.
@XDA2_haseeb why point people who have the same problem to this thread, if the answer you have given is incorrect?

Dude, sorry to disappoint you, but his advice was correct. My phone is now up and running, and it has NBD 9.2. The advice he has given is correct. It works.
Ok,was your phone in Bootloaders (muliticolor screen) or with a working OS installed on it when you charged with a wall charger ?
That's exactly what was i was about to ask Zabardast_1
As there is no way he could charge his phone while it is in bootloader mode. He either had battery power already in it and messed up the flash or you have just been lucky when you took the battery out of the unit and reinserted it and there was enough power left to flash

In bootloader screen. If you were flashing a rom and it failed, you usually end up in the tri-color (aka "Bootloader") screen. Do what haseeb said (like I did) and plug your wizard to a wall charger and wait for a few minutes. When I plugged mine, it immediately lit up. Good hunting!

Nope. I'm sure the battery was drained. The other night, my phone was in the bootloader screen THE WHOLE NIGHT. And yesterday, I tried reflashing, but it won't start anymore because of - obviously - no battery power.
IF you don't believe me, fail a flash and drain the battery. Then plug it into the wall. It really works.
scousemartin
YUP! thats very true.
The question here is 'How did he charge in Bootloaders with a wall charger',it has to have a working OS on it to start the charging circuit, which isn't present while in Bootloaders.
Flashing is a separate issue.
it will light up as it has power but it WONT CHARGE IT. You were LUCKY that's all and you had power in your battery. You just never realised it. If you want to prove us wrong let the battery go low and then try your revival attempt again. I guarantee you will be buying another battery or charging it somewhere else
also i have been through this personally with my xda mini-s and the only remedy was to buy another battery (or recharge it). You could leave your phone connected to the wall charger for a week and it wont make a blind bit of difference to the battery level. I know because i tried.
Anyway glad you got it sorted ,but the solution to your problem was not charging the phone. Thats all i have to say on this matter now

It did get sorted. But I am really sure about the battery thing. I guess this is an anomaly. Besides, the XDA is different from a Wizard.
lol the xda mini-s is exactly the same device a 8125 is, they re both wizards

Total Phone Failure?

I installed my first rom from the step by step guide yesterday. The phone has been having tons of problems, everything from sound not working when I start speaking, to the radio not working, to the cingular cabs not configuring... anything.
I plugged in phone to my computer's USB tonight and left it to charge and get above 50% battery so I could flash a different rom.
I came back from the bar and the phone was off. No green or yellow charge light.
I tried to turn it on and it turned on for a second and died. No lights. I tried hard resetting, loading the boot loader, removing the battery, tried a wall charger, nothing at all is working.
What the heck happened here?? How do I fix this, or diagnose this? It sounds like the battery to me, but with my first rom install a day ago it seems too coninsidental...
Further info needed

Which ROM on what model of Kaiser and using what Radio/SPL (read the wiki further if you don't know what this means). People won't be able to help unless you provide further information. Did you hard reset the phone after the ROM flash (as per good practice)? As the flash process has no moving parts (well not in the ordinary sense), something else will now be causing your phone to not run at all although it may be related to the flash (eg battery drain issues. Can you still get the battery charging orange light when the Kaiser is plugged into a charger (after taking the battery out for a few minutes and then reinserting it)?
I guess this is usefull in that it lets newcommers know that the wiki is not intended as a hand-holding step by step guide for every single part of ROM/RADIO?SPL flashing but as a source of general info about such things (well at least thats my view).
Sounds to me too as if your battery is dead. Do you get any LED lights when connecting the wall charger?
Using ATT Tilt, Hard SPL 3.29, AthineOS latest build. No lights at all when taking battery out for 30 minutes and plugging into (non HTC) wall charger.
Update... I just got the phone to turn on, but it absolutely will not charge.
Tried USB and wall connections.
Why wouldn't the phone charge? No light comes on.
If you still have enough power left, try to flash your phone back to its original shipped ROM by following the SD FLASH METHOD. If your phone still won't charge then most likely your USB is dead (at least the charging part).

i have a set in this condition
only green light is on while pressing power
customer brought this set in this position... what it could be???

almost dead blueangel

NEVER MIND. I BOUGHT A NEW ONE. (at least i'll have spares)
i we had my blueangel for about a year now and i while back it started shutting down randomly and didn't boot. so i got pissed and started using another phone instead. but now i want to fix it. so the problem is:
randomly flashing blue light and no bootup. somtimes the redlight flashes too.
sometimes the screen shows ROM but crashes. (no backlight)
and with my other battery i just get a glowing red light or simply nothing.
i overclocked it in the past, any chance the the OC killed it? highest was 570 something but only for a short period.
when it started crashing i figured the rom was corrupted or somthing and i wanted to upgrade it to wm5 or 6. but it died like 10 seconds before i plugged it in and it's havent worked since.
i've noticed something though. i charge it with my qtek 1010's charger 5v 1A however on the blueangel its 5v 2A. but i worked fine for about 6 months.
any thoughts? is it gone for good?
EDIT: i almost forgot. bootloder mode doesnt work either. when it finally starts all i see is the t-mobile logo an rom version.
EDIT2: a quick ansver would be great becouse there is an mint condition blueangel for sale and i'll probably buy it if i cant save my current one. however i would save a lot of money if i fixed this one.
You've probably flashed wrong or bad rom, so the device is doing god-knows-what when you turn it on Maybe there's a way to flash some working rom to it?
in never made it to the flashing. i plugged it in and it was dead. so i never had time to flash it, i died before i tried.
did you have the red light when you put your BA in charge ?
Because in my case, when i don't use my BA and my battery is empty, i need to charge at least 30mn my BA and after i remove the battery and soft reset the phone for restart my BA. This is the only way for restart my BA.
The charger 5v 1A is not a problem but if your BA crash during the upgrade of wm5 or 6 is not good.
in first try to start your phone and go in bootloader.
you should only flash your device, when the battery is full, because
1. the device is not being charged while upgrading, and so it could switch off during upgrade if the battery is not full.
2. there are rumours, that the battery state during the upgrade is recognized as 100% after upgrading and if that is not true, your battery state is all messed up and you could harm your battery while charging afterwards.
