I just got my US 3G Diamond which I noticed is thicker than the original Euro Diamond. I know the battery on the US version is thicker so the whole phone is thicker. I was wondering if I buy the Euro version battery and cover, would they fit my US version?

yes, it will work, but why do you want to do that in the first place, it's just .3mm thicker and give you extra juice for the phone...

Two reasons why I want to do that.
1. The battery gives more wights to the phone. I want to drop the weight a bit.
2. I have Invisible Shield by ZAGG which only fits the Euro version, which is thinner.
we can trade it if you want..
I have te European version and im looking forward to buy the US battery and battery cover. Let me know.
Im right now in Illinois. But i will be only this week here.

Im not usually one for starting a new thread to ask a question but i think other people may be interested also.
I have purchased the extended battery and have found that the phone no longer fits into the pouch, well it does but i had to use my teeth to get it back out!!!!
Anyway has anyone got one that it fits in or have seen one available? Im in the UK. Please advise myself and others. Thanks.
have a look at this it will fit the extended battery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=684662
Check out this case:

If you can get it in the UK/Europe it might work. Check out cases advertised for the EVO 4G. It is a thicker version of the HD2 that comes with a bigger battery as original equipment.
Cheers guys. I didnt think to look for an evo case or in Tesco lol.
Hi.
My battery cover got a ding. Anyone know where I can get a replacement? I checked ebay and I see a lot, but all of them comes from hongkong, not sure if they are really oem or genuine. Also, not sure if the Tmo HD2 is compatible with the non TMO HD2's battery cover.
Any suggestions?
I need to replace it asap. I had my phone covered with invisible shield, except for the battery cover, which I need to get.
Thanks!!
www.cnn.cn
They have them for a relatively fair price. Truesupplier.com also has them probably for the same price range if not the same price.
Thanks. Any chance if the international version will fit the US TMobile version for the battery cover? I know the dimensions of the phones a bit different, not sure if the same goes for the battery. I saw someone in ebay say they're not compatible, just wana be sure.
Thanks
UPDATE
It arrived today!
The case fits nice and snug. Pictures forthcoming (may take me a week before I have time). It stretches a bit at the bottom but I believe that can be remedied with a little bit of creative sanding on the inside of the case. Honestly though, it's almost perfect without any modification.

I've tried searching and googling to no avail. Found one (questionable) post here from a while ago that states it fits but I want to make sure so....
Does the Capdase Soft Jacket 2 Xpose case fit the TMOUS HD2?
This is it btw: http://www.capdase.com/en/product5.php?cid=1&bid=5&mid=321&pid=5277
While I'm here.... any docks that fit the HD2 with a case on? (I know of plenty that fit it bare)
Probably so,i have the silver chrome metal one from capdase. It was marked for the euro version, but it fit my tmo hd2 just fine. So I would say your good to go.

Oh, you have the alumor? (this one: http://www.capdase.com/en/product5.php?cid=1&bid=5&mid=321&pid=5156) and it fits?
Please confirm because I will get that one then!
The dimensions of the HTC HD2 and the T-Mobile HD2 are slightly different.
Since all Capdase case are custom designed to fit the device it is intended for. The Soft Jacket 2 Xpose (HTC HD2) will not fit the T-Mobile HD2 perfectly.
Although the Leather cases should be okay.

I still prefer the Otterbox because it also protects the screen from impacts.

I don't know, I just checked ebay and it specifically said:
"15 Feb 2011 - All colors are in limited stock
* IMPORTANT: This case is designed for the international version of HTC HD2 and DOESN'T FIT perfectly with the US T-Mobile version."
http://cgi.ebay.com/HOT-Capdase-Alu...434176?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20b22098c0
Since the US version is larger, I don't see how it would work. But I believe the people who say it does. Just be advised...

That is interesting. The Otterbox, for example, will most definitely NOT fit the T-Mobile HD2 in the International version. Difference in design, I suppose.
I think it just depends how much 'give' there is in the case. Otterbox isn't flexible at all, whereas as I understand it the alumor has rubber inside which can compress. Everyone please remember the tmous version is only about 2mm taller.
Anyways, I ordered the capdase softjacket. I'll see if it fits. I'm prepared to file down the inside ends in order to make it fit, I'm sure I could get 2mm out of that.
If it won't fit, i'm out $12, not a disaster.
I'll update with pics if it fits. (PS. if you're reading this 2 months from now and I haven't posted anything, PM me)
rkarsk, have you received the case yet? I'm interested to know if it will fit the t-mobile hd2.
It's only been about 3 days since my last post and I expect it to take several weeks (at least 2) to arrive.

Anyone think the power skin case would work for our hd2 that they made for the EVO or for that matter the HD7? I'd love to get this case! Double battery!
Thoughts?!?
http://www.power-skin.com/battery-cases/ap1507evo/htc-evo-powerskin.html
It be great if it works... but I doubt it. I'm not sure if the size of the two devices are the same.
Don't figure anyone would be willing to test.
Check here: uTube Link
I am glad I came across this forum post. I will be getting me a powerskin.

Ofcourse it will work, since what you are doing is not different from charging the phone. I mean you connect this battery via miniusb to the phone so i see no reason why it shouldn't work. I think the right question would be if the device will show it as an extended battery or as the phone being charged. I think you get what i am trying to say.

It will show it being charged as normal. Just wish they sold it in the UK ... without the huge delivery charge on ebay.
Just found this:
OEM T-Mobile Protective Cover w/ Battery Boost for HTC HD2
The reviews don't seem to be too good, and I'm nt frm the US, but guessing someone might want this
Hi ppl why you want to buy something that makes the phone ugly, big ,non pocket friendly and you have to carry it. If i checked correct it charging the phone up to 85%. If you don't have problem to carry something with you you can choose zagg which can charge hd2 almost 4 times or you can carry a Chinese battery from eBay which is really cheap and smaller . For me because this is a problem i choose this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320646241073
Same size without changing battery cover
This is my opinion guys sorry for my bad English
Cheers

Ty for the reply,
About the zagg, I don't want to carry along something that is detached from my phone, because I like to keep it in my pocket; I admit this makes it thicker, but I got extra big pockets just in case - sales assistant stared at me cluelessly when I asked for jeans/cargo trousers with the biggest pockets.
About the 2430mah Chinese battery, it's stated capacity is a lie - hence a waste of money.

LOl theres no way the fit an extra 1000mah in the same size battery. Im no expert at batteries but it isnt physically possible. I guess most xda members wear skinny jeans or something.
Wow that thing is huge and ugly imo. I get great life out of my battery using hyperdroid GBX...ever since I have been using that rom I have not once thought about an exteded battery.
I bought this from ebay for $13 w/free shipping. Just got it today. Hd2 is 2mm x 1mm x .5mm smaller than the hd7, so it is a little loose. But barely loose. Still fits, and stays put, doesn't slide around. Hd7 power and battery ratings are the same as hd2, so it is fully compatible. Works great! Doesn't actually add to your total maH, but you have a gel cover with a built in 1500 maH battery that charges your phone when needed. The result- led is always green or amber, so no flashing led when message is received. Also, there is no data pass through, so you have to take the case off to sync with your pc. The case comes off easily though. Case takes the same usb connector as the phone, so you can use your charger. Since it is a case, the overall size increase is uniform, unlike the pregnant bulge of an extended battery. Still, I'm going to get an extended battery just to have it and check it out. I recommend this case.

Hi, i wonder how much extra working ours you get using this case, ? some 10hrs more ?
My mom owns an HTC HD7, I tried one of her cases on my phone, and it fit perfectly, however the problem is that the volume rocker is on the other side so it makes it difficult to change the volume on the phone

how much extra hrs you get with this case ?
I was thinking of getting one of these (or an extended battery) but I just bought a portable charger. It's 2300 mah (almost 2 extra full charges) for only $30.
POWERSKIN only 4.99$
POWERSKIN only 4.99$ but not available for FRANCE ....fk...
now even 0,01$ and i think shipping to europe is possible as i could choose it on checkaout. Shipping 14,95$
you could order one? and you probably did...
i had a master plan of ordering few of them, sending them to someone in europe who can order them and sending them to everyone across the continent who wanted one.
I'm thinking of getting one but which one mugen 3300mh
Or sedio 3500 mh
get the seidio battery. this is the second extended battery i've bought from them. (had one for my evo 4g) so far it's been great. i can go at least 2 days on a single charge. just make sure you follow the instructions to get the most out of it. i charged mine over night and just let it completely die out. i'm using the matr1x kernel and i have it clocked at 1.2
thanks I was planning on getting 3500
you won't be disappointed.
link of where to buy ?
What about one of the generics from ebay?
http://cgi.ebay.com/3300-EXTENDED-B...ccessories&hash=item3cb99d1abe#ht_2047wt_1396
This one is only $14 including shipping.
Anybody buy one of these and can provide some feedback?

are these stock size or bigger size?
edit: just looked it up. its a big 'un. anybody know if the 1750mah battery is good? i know its not 3300mh but is it better than stock?
I'm sure those cheap ones are fine, but I'm willing to pay a bit more to help ease the thoughts of a cheap battery....catching fire or exploding.
I just picked up a seidio 3500 from best buy today. Its big, reminds me of the old 5100 series Nokia from some years back but hoping for the best. I love the no slip coating on it though!
Anyone know where I should go to get one of the 3500mh batteries in Australia?
I got mine from Amazon. Here's their shipping policy for Australia:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=596190
I got mine yesterday and I love it so far. It does make the phone thicker, but I think the thickness is welcome, its easier to hold the phone to my ear with my shoulder. The battery cover is nice too. Just make sure you order the correct battery, the 4G is different from the regular NS and a few people left comments about it not fitting on Amazon.

Update - Im getting a solid two days of heavy use with this battery. I love not having to run to the charger. The second charge got me to 56hrs and I was at 4% IIRC. I forgot to take a screenshot though Ill take one on this charge. By this time of day Id already be down into the 60-70% range on the stock battery, but right now Im sitting at 81%
Side note - I also picked up the Seidio spring belt clip, and it fits perfectly with the extended battery due to the way the battery cover is. Its very sturdy and still gives you access to the lock button, volume rocker, charging port and headphone jack. Its also got a nice felt lining to protect the screen. I got it on eBay for $18 shipped.
Almost forgot to add, Im running NSCollab oc'd to 200 (screen off) 1200 (screen on) on demand.
Are there any extended batteries that will work with the stock back cover?
Just got a new seidio case and would like a new battery but don't want to have to lose the case for the extra battery.

Thats why I went with the Seidio. Its nowhere near as sexy as the stock battery cover, but the Mugen cover is much worse. Its just a big lump of plastic.
How different are the battery doors between the NS and the NS 4G? I need a couple of cheap extended batteries from eBay and the ones for the 4G are scarce and there are more choices for the NS.
Pretty sure its the exact same battery
Correct, its the same battery, but they use different doors if you go with an extended battery.
I accidently ordered the regular Nexus S extended from Amazon, luckily Amazon took care of me same day and re-routed the wrong package. <3 them.
EDIT - What he said ^
