Hello everyone! First, I must say I have read the Wiki, used the search button, but didn't seem to find a correct answer to my question.
I just bought an Htc Diamond, but the language is dutch (I live in Belgium, where dutch and french are the two officials languages). It's not really bothering me, but I wanted to know if I can flash directly from HTC-website the original HTC Rom in French?
I know you guys prefer cooked roms, (I will try it at one point or another) but I just want to begin with something official.
Also, for doing this, do I need something special? (HardSPL, new radio?).

i dont think you can cos the country and carrier id is different! may be some one can confirm that!
The country is the same (Belgium, with two different official languages, Dutch and French).
So I think you can give it a try, but only in case you find a French official ROM for Belgium.
If there isn't any, maybe HTC made it partially unlocked so that it tolerates flashing of French ROM from France.
Otherwise, I don't see how people who buy a Diamond in French speaking area of Belgium would do.
In the worst case: Although there is no specific ROM for French speaking Belgian, HTC has locked the phone enough to avoid language switch (which doesn't make much sense), you will need to flash a hard spl first in order to CID unlock your device.

I found several Roms that fits TELUS, Bell, Sprint, Alltel but not for Nodic network´s (Sweden).
Is it possible to flash with these roms or will the Phone be Burned?
will the swedish networks still work with those roms??
I have a swedish Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro but i want to change it to English. I have read all over the Forum
but what i can understand is that i need to change to a English rom to get the English windows mobile 6.1 Pro in my swedish HTC.
I have already change the Touch Flow3D To english but what i want is the compleate Mobile in English.
So if that is the case can some one help me in right direction where i can DL such roms

any WWE ROM will do it, you may need to Flash Hard SPL first, depending on if your phone is CID Locked by your carrier. If its a original HTC Diamond, then you can flash any official HTC ROM etc
You can use cooked ROMS aswell if you prefer, i use DuttyThroys ROM with Tele2 in sweden and it works great.

bought my topaz on ebay and went to htc site to upgrade to WM6.5 and for some reason it was not compatible with my serial number.
Anyway made some research on here and find out that my phone came from eastern europe. I have punched in the serial numberon the HTC polish site and it worked...but my question is the rom on the htc polish website is it WWE or polish one?
can anyone clarify whether it is in english or polish?
alternatively where could i d/l wwe version with aserial number HT95ELxxxxxx?
also I wanted to HARDSPL my device and would not let me so i thought i would stick to the original
Official 6.5 ist WWE East Europe version. It minds you can leave English language with this ROM, but you can put your native eastern Europe language,Polish i guess by you (by me Croatian)...In same, this ROM, after hard reset.

i am from South Africa and had a tytn 2 for more than 2 years. moved to Switzerland and got a new tytn 2 but it is in german and i don't understand a word. i downloaded almost all rom flashes but the phone reboot the moment the flash is not the german language contacted htc they say it is license restrictions can't change the language once it is loaded i don't believe that did a lot of reading and it seems some people managed to do it. now i am not that much of a techie so does someone please have a simple awnser for me.
I did a hardspl flash but phone is still in german and trying to flash with a english rom reboots the phone. flashing with a update german rom works fine.

I downloaded the ROM RUU_Rhodium_S_HTC_PTG_1.86.410.0_Radio_Rhodium_4.49.25.17_Signed_Ship, available right here in the forum, go to the rom for my TP, I realized that the ALT has not worked, or the special functions of the QWERTY keyboard does not work . I wish my colleagues gave me a suggestion to solve the problem due. I thank everyone's attention. Hugs.
What model of phone do you have exactly ? It is an AT&T one or a T-Mobile one ? I wonder what keyboard layout you have.
Is this a Portuguese ROM ? Sorry I am not sure exactly what this ROM is, I realise it's an official one.
Good afternoon, my device is HTC Touch Pro2 T-Mobile, I'm from Brazil, and how has WM6.5 rom with PT-BR, I chose one that is en_US. Layout of it is English Universal. PORTUGUESE ROM is from Portugal. It is an official ROM, only unlock the SPL to accept other ROMS. Any help will be of good use. Hugs
ok, so you have a T-mobile branded phone ? Then it has a different keyboard layout. You should be able to find a cab file that will give you the keyboard layout for T-mobile if you do a search
I need to send my Legend back for repairs..but is there a website that contains the Dutch KPN RUU? I searched everywhere but I just can't find it...any help if possible would really put a huge smile on my face!
are your phone not WWE like most EU phones? I get to pick several languages (and i can change without wiping), incl but not limited to swedish, english, german and probably dutch.
Does that mean I can use any stock RUU?
