So after performing hard reset checked memory and its telling me it's not installed any help thanks in advance
Same problem here. Internal Storage has gone AWOL !
If it is plugged into the Computer as "Disk Drive" you cant access your internal memory from the phone.
Hope this helps
if your not bothered about whats on the internal memory, try doing a Hard Reset, then choosing the fuction that formats the 'Nand' as well.
this will format the internal storage!! so you will loose everything!
Thanks. This is a fantastic tool.
May I request to allow the "Dim backlight to level" to start from 0 instead of current at 1.
Level 1 is still too bright at total darkness when I'm reading an ebook.
Sorry guys.....ignore my prev post...it's not meant for this thread.

Hello Guys,
I did a hard reset my Diamond and installed on it Elite 2.0
I then noticed that anything I placed in the internal storage was not deleted after the hard reset.
Can someone explain this to me ?
what's the difference ?
where should I install the softwares I want ?
thanks a lot guys.
You can install software wherever you want - but some may not work properly after hard reset as it need registry keys etc ... . Internal Storage is not erased after hard reset. It`s because of lack of microdrive slot so you can make your backups to internal storage when are you going to do hard reset. If you want to clean Internal Storage you can do it from Settings menu.
And finally if you used search you could find all this info here as this was mentioned several times.

Allready tried to reformat it from the diamond? If this not work, perhaps this tool can help: http://flash-format.en.softonic.com/pocketpc
If both fails it is really dangerous to have a corrupt file-system on the diamond.

Thanks for the tip!
I traied to format whith the diamond but it says that its missing nand flash?
Take a look, if the internal storage has the same name as before. If not, perhaps you can rename it from the pc via active-sync. Good luck!
Nobody else with an idea about this? If nothing works for the threadstarter, this means: as soon as the FAT of your internal storage gets corrupt, (whyever) you have bricked your device more or less, (at least reduced the memory to a laughable tiny amount).
If this is the case, it can only be a very, very bad joke of HTC. It's like you have a big button in Windows Vista wich destroys your harddisk and nowhere is a warning sign or a safety-mechanism - that can't be true, or? (Its not a good example, cause you can exchange a PC's harddisk).
I think there are a lot of reasons, why a FAT can get corupted. (Tools on the PDA, sudden power-loss) and I'am wondering if no one here is a little bit concerned about this.
I've used the 2GB SD-card in my last PDA over a long period and during this, it was several times corrupted, so that I had to reformat it.
In the German PPC-Welt forum someone has posted the same issue, he returned his device, but this is only possible in the first two weeks, at least in Germany.
1. When you hard reset you have the option to format Internal Storage.
2. You have the option to format Internal Storage in Clear Storage in settings.

He can only format the storage, if it is found by the device. Obviousley this is not the case. Perhaps renaming helps. In this (German) thread, the same problem has been discussed: http://www.ppc-welt.info/community/showthread.php?t=133023&highlight=fat32
Finaly ther user in this thread was able to format the storage but it was still not correctly recognized by his apps.
I hope the creator of this thread has more luck.
Hello everyone. I have discovered a strange problem on my Diamond. When I try to transfer something to Internal Storage from the PC (a MP3 file , for example - a very small one) I get the "NOT ENOUGHT STORAGE SPACE" error on my device.
I have checked the properties in the Diamond, and apparently the 4GB disk drive is recognized properly (i have 3 gb of memory free).
I tried to flash another stock WM 6.1 ROM and a hard reset, with the stylus, but no luck.
Do you know what could be wrong ? And how can i fix it. Thanks!
nobody ? its very annoying, because i cannot transfer anything to my device.
have you tried on another computer ?
also try hard resetting along with formatting your internal storage aswell....you get an option for that in the hardreset menu.
or u can go to the settings and format your internal storage from there
just try
thanks for your reply.
i tried on 2 computers, but same thing happened.
i will give it a try with the internal storage format, and later today i will post the results. thanks!
clear your browser cache, cookes, and history. Fixed my low storage memory problem.
Hi guys,
I think i accidently formated my whole internal storage, i did a hard reset and accidently click return to manufacters settings.
Now i have not one thing in my internal storage and i was just wondering if someone could post up the default folders that usually are there for me so i can make it look like it use to.
thanks,
luke
If you returned to the manufacturers settings, then everything should have gone back to default. All the default folders should be there.
ohk, i dont know what i did then cause theres not 1 folder in internal storage.
Then do a hard reset AND reformat, and you will get all beck - except the data....
for someone else can help this hotfix directly from HTC>

On Friday I flashed new Morna ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469852). Everythig was ok, I've installed all my apps. But in the evening it hang up, only hard reset helped.
Then something happend: my device hard reset or hang up (is does not load then, only hard reset helps) every time when program storage memory (not internal storage) remain about 50mb. I've tried to update everything: ROM, Radio... Nothing...
May be program storage memory corrupted? Is there any tool to diagnostic and repair it?
Post in ROM thread...
You should post this in the thread where you got your ROM, you'll probably get more specified help there.
You can try clearing the internal storage. I had to do this once because a ROM was acting strangely. Why internal storage should affect the ROM I don't know, but it fixed my device.
Start - Settings - System tab - Clear Storage - Select 'Format internal storage only' from the drop-dowm list
