Is there some way? - Off-topic

Is there some way to make file synchronization? Maybe some app needed? I've found only one program for me - File Sync but want to know if there are some other programs like this.

Lost file

I copied a .wav file to my XDAIIi to use as a ringtone (this was before I found out I could use .wma and save myself loads of precious memory). I thought I had removed the file, but it still appears in the list under the 'Add ringtone' app and it can still be played in this app. It's wasting over 6mb... has anyone got any ideas how I can find it? I was thinking perhaps there would be a registry entry or something similar, relating to the 'add ringtone' app that would list the file's it knows and their locations? Or does anyone else have another idea, because I can't (for some reason) find it using the 'find' app.
Many thanks.

How do I link ifonez icons to built in apps?

Hi
I am new to this forum and to HTC. I have set up my new phone with S2UL, Ifonez and Icontact. I have got a number of my apps working fine from Ifonez but I cant seem to find the files or commnads to load Windows Mobile 6 built in applications such as the following
Communication Manager
Task Manager
Programmes.
I have been searching through Google and these forums in order to find out but cant seem to find anything, so sorry if this is an obvious question.
I am also using Icontact Burt edition which is mostly working fine. However I am finding one or two contacts are displaying underneath the top bar so that I cannot really make out the entry. I only discovered it by searching for an entry that I knew was there but couldn't see in the list. Icontact seems to display a screen at a time rather than a continuous list so I am finding it difficult to see who these entries relate to. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Greg

Thanks for the quick reply.
If I understand this correctly I create a text file with the appropriate code in it and then rename the file with the extension lnk. Then I point one of ifonez launch icons towards this file. Is that correct?
If it is I still cant seem to see a code for Communication Manager or to open the Programs folder. Have I misunderstood?
You would simply make a .txt file with the "data" of the thing you want to link to, save the file, and then change the extension of the file from .txt to .lnk.
For example, to create a shortcut to Settings>System>Memory>Main, you would make a text document with this in it:
20#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,4
Save the file as "Memory", and then use a file explorer/manager to change the extension from "Memory.txt" to "Memory.lnk"
The link to the Comm Manager is: 39#"\Windows\CommManager.exe"
The link to the Programs folder [in the Start Menu] is 40#"Windows\Start Menu\Programs\"
Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been caught up with work and unable to look at this forum until now. So thanks for your reply it was really helpful.

Xda_uc help....

I have no idea of how to use this..
There are hits everywhere and technical articles on what xda-uc does.. but..
I don't see anything on HOW TO MAKE the files necessary for this program to do what it's supposed to do.
Energy is great.. love the rom..
he just build a new EXPORTER tool which exports alot of settings.
SO.. i have some reg settings i want to apply EVERY TIME.. i know the settings.. i know where they are and what they do.. now.. how do i MAKE a file in this xda_uc folder on my storage card? do i just open up notepad on my windows desktop and save it as a .reg file?
what about email accounts? how do i auto configure them every time i flash?
i know to put cabs in the folder or the SD subfolder if i want control over where they get installed.. and thats about all i know.
what about ringtones? notification tones? how do i auto configure them?
Perhaps you would get more answers here.

Hope right area, how do I install CAB to phone

Well, just when i think I have things figured out. If a cab is right for my phone, how do I get it onto the phone. Can I do it by the USB hooking it up to my Desktop and then copy and paste into the phone from the desktop? How do I then look at the phone and see if that cab is really there and launch it??
I have a file that tells me it's a CAB file to launch the BTAG that activates the Bluetooth settings and Voice Mail 1.6. It is from a cooked ROM and I only want this one CAB....
Thanks

Just put the .cab in intern memory or your storage card. Launch it (by clicking on it) via File Explorer.

hmm, the question is ok but not as a new thread, not in dev; how about general - newbies questions?
I really do hope that you don't make it a habit of yours starting new threads for every single question you have, urgent or not
thx for helping him
to finalize: use disk drive mode to get it to your phone via usb (activesync might lead to data conversion), you are able to select the target folder, disconnect, open a file explorer, navigate to your dir containing the cab and click/double click it for installation
depending on the cab it will either be installed (to device mem) or you will be asked where to install it (device mem or sd)
done and best

[Q] Advanced clipboard/clipboard history?

Hi, I'm looking for an app (I don't know if it exists, but I think it should) that stores the lasts things copied into clipboard and has an option to sticky some of them and after that, you can choose what to paste without accesing to the app itself, but in the place where you want to paste it. Something like "clipboard history" for windows.
Do you know any? I can't find anything usefull :s
Thanks!!!
