@goolpone: It also depends on where do you come from: Africa, Asia, Usa, Europe? ;-)
geaerally? eBay my friend.
I'm italian, is there any body who want to sell his/her s730?.. i need 2 devices for $500/$520.. sameone?..
I found many people selling it through "second hand" stores in our country. Try to do the same with google focused on your country area with keywords / sell HTC s730 price / of course in your native language (sell, price).

So you want someone to sell you 2 phones that retail for around $500-550 new for the price of one? The European model has only been out for a few months and AFAIK not picked up by networks yet.
I think you need to either set your price higher or wait for network upgrades to filter on the market. It's when people get 'free' or heavily subsidised phones they don't need that second-hand deals start becoming attractive.
But good luck!

Sure hope thats each, unless someone got theirs for free no one would sell two for what they payed for one, and if it was a pre - prod unit...
but there are not carreer like vodafone, o2, cingular that sell it for a contract? and sameone that coul resell it? i know it's possible and yet done
Did you try my recommendation? I found the second hand phones (one month old = warranty) on 500 dollars level in CZ. I think that in your country you will find the same. There are many people disillusioned by RAM, ATI drivers, GPS lacks.
For a new phone such as this, you'd perhaps be better off trying on ebay
Do not forget that price on ebay is sometimes "penalized" by paying also the TAX and VAT to your custom.
My S730 is brandnew and im already so fed up with it.
Im going to sell it on ebay in the comming days.
I will also post the link to the auction on this forum for you to use.
It means that you are not satisfied by s730 and you will switch to different producer? As f.e. jocky.d? If yes, I have some favorites.
share your favorites then roomish....as I too am getting annoyed with my S730 and ebay is calling
It is so pitty - S730 could be so cool smartphone.
Well my favorites:
Asus P750 - although it has only 64MB - the free memory is about 20MB, the phone is handy sized
iPAQ 614c - very cheap, little bigger
I-mate 8502 - qwerty keyboard
All models are on the market only few days.
I've only had this thing since last week and I think I'm going to return it. The memory leak is horrible, not to mention there isn't enough of it to begin with. If I browse to a non-mobile url using IE, the browser closes since there isn't enough memory! The keyboard is slow and if I type fast, misses letters and I have to go back. A few times I have placed calls and they route through the speaker phone even though I haven't activated it and the entire phone locks up. Don't buy this phone, it sucks. I should have bought a Tytn II, at least then I would have working GPS.
I was after something a little smaller but with features.....
I liked the size of my old C600 but obviously you get more the bigger you get :s
and does anyone want to buy an S730?

12 months old? It must be preproduction model!?

XDA Ignito in the post :)

Just ordered my Ignito this evening from the o2 website. Due to my excellent credit history I'm confident I will get a second contract with them.
I'm so damn excited!
Anybody else ordered one?
Hi,
Have you got yours yet.
I got mine this morning but have not opened it yet.
I was expecting co-pilot sat nav software a car holder as in Orbit 1 and 2.
But it does not appear to have any of these.
No car holder and no mension of sat nav software either on the box or now on the o2 web site.
Has anyone else got a Ignito with sat nav?
I specifically asked for co-pilot and was told it was installed alraedy. is that the case?

Only one way to find out except waiting for an answer . Open it up , power it on and check. If not a stern call to O2 is in order

When I ordered my Orbit II's (Polaris) I had to "negotiate" with O2 until they finally coughed up all the goodies....no negotiate - no goodies
I can't find the Ignito on the O2 website for UK...can someone in the know post the link please?
I can open it and find out but that rules out the option of selling on Ebay as new by breaking the seal.
Its been on my desk 6 hrs now. patience is wonderful but can't last much longer..................
I hoped that if someone else had a Ignito they could say if co-pilot was installed.

O2 Ignito,
First on site this morning I think.
http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_phone/O2/Xda Ignito
I did negotiate. Got O2 35 (600 mins and 100 txt) for £21 on two contracts. waiting for SE C902 to come in stock for other contract.
Cancellations told me sat nav software was included, but on mentioned on box or site. So I now think its not included.

Hi All,
I'm new here. Been lurking around a while, but finally making my 1st post.
Can anyone who has got the O2 version please tell me if it has the Diamond Back or is it flat like the T-Mo one ?
I can get one FREE with a £35 / m contract or can go £20 SIM only and pay £400 for one. Works out at about £130 more over the 18 months if I go SIM Free tho.
Any opinions would be much appreciated.
Ordered mine today too, should come tomporow morning, I've only been waiting for it to come out for like 3 months. woo hoo
Hi, flat matt back.
Did not come with co-pilot.
Nearly sent it back as the usb connection is different from all others I have had before, more D shared. So the usb-pc and the phone cables are D share as well but the mains and car chargers are the old shape. Finallay worked it out......... the phone takes both shapes but the old shape goes in upside down. Why the change? good job I did not ring O2.
I assumed as it was new O2 had got it wrong and sent out old charger shape cables. DOH!
How long you been with o2. negotiate. Much better deals out there. I quoted my written quote for t-mobile as free phone and £30 month with internet. see my last posts.

Had my O2 Ignito since last friday now, and at last I think I can be of help...
1) no it doesn't come with Co-Pilot as standard (just trying to decide whether to get tomtom navigator or Garmin mobile on mine)
2) The O2 version has a flat matt black back (try saying that with a few stella's inside you!)
Matt.
Could you post some pictures of the back cover ?
Does it come with a MicroSD slot like the o2 site is claiming? also, could osmeone post a couple of pictures from the camera, and does it have a flash?
Cheers!

It doesn't come with an expansion slot no, and the camera doesn't have a flash. As for posting photographs - I'm afraid I'm not that technically minded.
However should you pay a visit to www.coolsmartphone.com you will find they have done a viseo diary entitled 'a week with the HTC Touch Diamond'. It is well worth spending the time watching the vids.
Matt
Just got in after an 11 hour shift :| to see that one of my housemates signed for it for me! It's now in my hand Gonna be a late night tonight
Don't get it stolen!!
Thanks for your answers Johny1fin. I'm currently in the process of moving from Orange to O2, so my options are limited. Looks like I'm going to go for the O2 £ 35 /month option to get a free Ignito. Can always put the new firmwares here on it.

Ravin Dave - Hi !
You're in my hometown, so I wanna help (live in clitheroe now though).
Negotiate - lots of places offering 11 months HALF PRICE rental on orange, ie 17.50/month for your contract size. Ask O2 to match orange, and if they don't, imply that you'll stay with orange (meanwhile waiting for some1 else, eg Carphone Warehouse, to get Ignito on O2).
There will be more competitive deals available once it's available in other outlets.
It's worth waiting just a week or two more.
Patience........
Mine Ignito arrived earlier this week as well, £35 contract dropped to £20 a month to beat the Orange deals going on at the moment. So 600 mins, 1000 texts, and a free bolt on (Unlimited data...no brainer).
Pretty please with it so far, prefer the flat/matt back to the std diamond one anyway!
Not a fan of the O2 blue theme though...am I safe to put the modified HTC Diamond ROMs on it?

Avoid buying from Expansys Hong Kong

It's the first time I am posting this kind of thread... But I would like to avoid others to run into the same problems as I did
Since I live in Asia I thought that for repair/replacement issues I'd better order my phone in the region. I picked Expansys HK since they seemed to have a good reputation
The original purchase went well, I got delivered quite quickly and was very happy about the service (Sending email when goods are shipped, etc, etc...)
The problem is after only 2.5 months of usage my HTC Touch Pro 2 failed on me: the screen was scrambled (white, red and blue dots all over the screen). This without any particular reason (I treat my phone correctly). The phone was still working, but definitely the graphic output was dead. I could receive calls though and output to an external screen
After only 2.5 months of use, without any bad treatment of the phone you just think "**** happens, just bad luck, I'll ship it and should get back quickly another unit or a quick repair"
I waited 2 months. I had to call and email several times to push and get feedback. I the understood the phone was shipped from Expansys HK to Expansys UK. Then Expansys UK snet it to HTC UK. Where the phone was probably shipped back to China... (This I dont know, just personal speculation). I cant believe it takes 2 full months to fix a phone. Maybe expansys let it rot somewhere and only woke up after several complains. Maybe it actually needed 2 months of manpower to fix (In which case I'd say that HTC had better give me a new one)
Anyway terrible management of the issue. Bad communication with the customer with no care at all (btw what I am supposed to do for 2 months without a phone...). I received my phone today with not even a short letter of apology for teh 2 months delay, or explanation of what went wrong with the phone (I guess I deserve this at least. I paid 800 USD a few months earlier for taht phone no ? Just the phone simply put in a tiny bubble bag. My screen protector is torn at several angles, I'll need to buy a new one. Expansys didn't even think as a "present" to put one to replace the one that was scrapped (By them ? By HTC ?). HTC happily upgraded to Win 6.5. Cool ! But all my contacts, emails, settings, etc... were erased
What to say ? Nothing... Just don't buy from there or if you do cross fingers your phone won't break. Maybe I am too harsh, maybe you get the same experience with other shops... I just know my next purchase wont be from there (My previous phone was an HTC Hermes bought in Japan, I had issues once, it took 1 week to fix. Night and day...)

I bought my TyTN in Switzerland (not Expansys), after one month my cam had problems so I sent it for repairs. I had to wait for one month untill they sent it back. As far as I could see, device was sent to England for repair and then sent back.
Cheers

hi~
thanks for reporting on us the expansys, but it make me WILL buy one from them.
Now it's 2020, I wanna a redmi note 9 pro (india) aka redmi note 9 s (global), codename curtana.
In hong kong we only have joyeuse. in which it's less popular in XDA, as curtana is sell in india and outside india,
yet joyeuse is someplaces + not in india.
expansys is almost the only way I can buy a curtana, with some qurantee.
1. you quranteed expansys ships good product AT first at least. Hope it's sealed, look brand new and not touched
by others
2. you quranteed they provide repair service.
For the duration, it's reasonable,
I live in hongkong which is 1 hr far from china,
but at one time I sent a US 100 tablet to another dealer and send back to China,
it DID take a WHOLE MONTH.
it's the speed for repair.
two months for you is reasonable, as you see 1hr from china need 1month period.
It's a little bit overpriced for me however.
in HK the joyeuse cost usd200, with 1 yr warranty.
expansys curtana cost usd200 but only 6mo warranty, they charge u usd30 more for a total of 1yr warranty.
anyway thx for the report on expansys

Well it's been 11 years... I have no clue how they currently perform.
I live in HK too and there are now a lot of other convenient shops here anyway. Also international shipping has become cheaper and much more convenient so lots of options these days to order a phone or a tablet.

[Q] Where to buy HTC HD7 online

Hi everyone!
I`ve decided to buy HTC HD7 online from USA/England etc. As I am from Norway, this phone haven`t arrived at stores here yet, so that`s why I want to ask you guys if you know any serious webshop who have HD7 (no T-mobile) and can ship to Norway. Sim-free/unlocked.
Thanks!
I found mine on ebay uk (with 16gb)
Thanks for the tip. I have bought HD7 on ebay from Germany now so I hope it`s gonna work out great with the OS Language and so on. This was also with 16 GB, thought maybe 8 GB was going to be a little short. 295£ w/ shipping- good price?
cellphone shop...not the legal ones.

I work for O2 UK as Technical Support and I can confirm it is available on both Contract and Pay as you Go. Pay as you go price is £336 (Official One Plus UK Website price is £329 as I ordered mine couple of weeks ago). The phone will be unlocked out of the box. We have live demonstration devices in stores also.
Contact Prices start from £28 per month.
This is the best phone I have ever come across as me being around phones and fixing them for the past 2.5 years and owning the latest phablets, that is quite an achievement.
This is an exclusive partnership between One Plus and O2 UK meaning you can't get it on any other network/carrier/shop in the UK unless you buy it from the official One Plus Website and wait for it to be delivered.

If I buy from o2 and the handset develops a fault after 30 days, am I having to deal with One Plus in China to get it sorted?
I've had a play with a few now in o2 shops and the speed is very impressive. I think this will be my next phone as the Pixel phones will be overpriced. :crying:

No, under UK law your contract is with the retailer not the manufacturer, so as far as defects go its up to 02 to fix. If you break it ie drop it and smash the screen that however is a different matter.

Typical trick from retailers, is to try and defer complaints to manufacturers, but the law says the retailer is responsible for supplying you with goods of merchantable quality.
Also worth bearing in mind, this covers the device for defects within a reasonable period (or some such wording), so a phone supplied on a two year contract should be expected to be free from defects for at least the contract period, and most issues for longer than that.
One Plus Three just ordered. :victory:
Thanks guys for answering my questions. :highfive:
I'm not paying those crazy prices for the Pixel phones. What is Google thinking of. :silly:
