I just tried to upgrade to a new ROM on my Cingular 8125. I have upgraded from the original rom to a Mr. Clean AKU 2.3 Rom a while back. This time I tried to load Ell's AKU 3.2 Rom.
Anyway, my computer locked and restarted during the flashing process (99%)
My phone turns on and shows the colored bar screen (is this called the bootloader?). This is all it does. I'm not sure how to try and fix this. I'd like to try and reflash a rom; however, if I try to do that I get Error 260. This error says it can't find the phone which is easy to understand since Activesync can't connect since the phone won't boot.

i had this very proglem... TURN OFF THE PHONE ASAP.. as the bootloader screen will drain your battery very quickly.... reset computer and phone... plus in the USB cord.. and in the booth loader screen in the lower left corner.. you should see USB!!! just flash workin room.. and you should be set to go.. i believe>.
When I plug the phone in it does show USB in the lower left corner; however, The rom update utility can't see the phone.
Am I doing something wrong or should I be trying to install the rom in another manner?

hmmm i dont know... try restarting both devices.. other then that i cant hlep ya.. im still new to this...
USB means it is connected.
Again, keep the battery out when you aren't doing the flash. Reboot the PC in case the link is down.
Try flashing a stable ROM, like the Mr. Clean one you used before. Activesync doesn't need to operate, the ROM will see the wizard if the wizard says USB.
Zonealarm actually interferes with my ROM flashes, although it prompts me to see if it is ok; you might turn off your firewall prior to doing the ROM flash. If you do so, disconnect from the web.
I have also the same problem with my XDA 2 mini or the other called this the HTC Magician. I try to UPgrade my Radio 1.03 to 1.12. and when im applying the upgrade procedure the Upgrading stops and error. What happen now is my XDA 2 mini or HTC magician doesnt open now. only the word "SERIAL" and when i plug the USB, the word "USB" show on the screen................... Is there some one can help me pleasssse with my problem....

Always post the data of your your phone,to get help.
secondly you had a bad flash,perhaps your phone is CID locked. Which rom were you trying to flash ?
Now to recover,download the official carrier's rom and flash it while in bootloaders.The phone will start working again in default status,then,Read and understand the unlocking method and the flashing guide,read the stickies carefully and perform the method correctly.

i removed the simlock with lockwizb and a tried to put airfawizard rom on it so now i have this tricolord screen en there is nothing i can do.. tried to update i with the original carrier rom but it says update error so in seems it can't see my phone or something but my usb is plugged in i hope i can fix this i only can see this blue green red screen it drives me crazy hope you can help me.....

If you can go to boot loader, most likely you will be ok. When you plug in the usb port, does the words in the screen change from serial to USB? Once it changes, then flash your official, and then CID unlock your device (this is different from SIM unlock). Then flash to the ROM you want!!

The only thing it does is going to bootloader and when i plug my usb in it say usb but when i try to install my original rom from t-mobile ( a update ) it says it's looking for information on my mda but after a couple of second it's say UPDATE ERROR i use windows vista can that be a problem? and how do i know wich one is the original..?

Vista dont like upgrading and stuff...but there is a work around, search the forum and see if you find it. Or try using XP.

I attempted an upgrade to WM6 using an Upgrade .Bat from this site. I was slightly impatiant due to not being able to complete the downgrade first anyway the upgrade frose, after a while I canceled the update and carried out a hard re-set... Since then I'm not able to boot nor connect to my desktop via Active sync (WMDC (Vista))
I've followed every instruction I can find but only to be meet with RUU Errors saying can't connect or file open. I can however acces my Bootloader screen and when connection is made the USB symbol shows on the screen of my phone...
Any help would be greatly recieved......
I have tried to uppgrade this unit to WM6. The upgrade process was working until it stalled at 23% for 2 hours.
restarted the phone and the pc Phone is stuck bootloader mode showing IPL 3.08 and SPL 3.08 showing a USB connection at the bottom on a red greenblue and grey screen.
If i try to reconnect activesync to try flashing back to WM5 it doesn't detect the Device..

Im new to winCE i am a systems engineer to am quite technical but for this can you give me Step by step info on how to recover and get WM6 on to this unit.

Activesync won't see your phone while you're in bootloader mode, which is what your phone is in when you see the screen that you say you're seeing. The way to tell if you'll be able to flash back to WM5 is to reboot it in to that screen first and then connect it to the sync cable. If it shows a little USB at the bottom, which it should since I doubt you screwed it up that bad yet, then you can go ahead and flash the WM5 ROM.
There are already step by step instructions on how to upgrade your phone to WM6 in the stickies at the top of the wizard mobile 6 section here in the wizard section. Since you didn't know that I'm guessing that you probably didn't unlock your phone first which is the reason your phone is the way it is right now so you might want to start with that sticky.
Reflash it first using a manufacturer rom like this one:

I wanted to flash my G4 Wizard (IPL/SPL 3.08) to the last official ROM of T-Mobile Germany (AKU 3.3)
The flash process got stucked at 99% for hours and now my phone only boots to the three-colored bootloader.
No problem I thought, flash again. I plugged the cable and I saw "USB" on the display (there never is "serial" on the display, if this is for interest)
But now: no flashtool would find the phone.
Sometimes when it's found (seldom), it says that's not the right utility. I tried a RUU..._noID.exe I found here but this only got "no Connection"
I tried flashing from Vista, XP and 2000 SP4.
Please help me.
Did you do the HardSPL? If you did, when you tried to put the official ROM from T-Mobile, it tried to put the IPL/SPL from G3 on your phone, since the HardSPL makes your phone a fake G3 (something like that). You have to remove the IPL/SPL info from the official ROM's otherwise you get stuck.
There's hope tho, since you can get to bootloader. You can try the miniSD flashing method, meaning, there's no connection to the computer

Hi,, I have used shelltool to install TNT 6.1 from wizlove all went smooth
Then i decided to try a different radio so flashed 02.71.11 from o2.37.11
all went smooth no problem,, It wasnt a day and I had to get rid of 02.71.11
so tried flashing to others and ruu loses conection on status bar and screen goes into the tri col mode,, since then I have tried to do hard spl and it gets as far as the white screen and then ruu says lost connection, so I used shelltool to flash back to wizlove but after reboot stuck on splash screen
I can get into the tri colour bootloader screen the usb shows but cant get any connection to ruu

What IPL/SPL it displays now and which windows are you doing on? If its vista it won't work.WinXP is highly recommended for HardSPL.Don't use Shelltool go for HardSPL or SoftSPL.

Ah ! yes,its G4,ok,HardSPL won't work in Bootloaders (tricolor) it'll only work if working OS is running.
Which windows are you on vista or winxp ?

So try to reflash an original ROM dont install wizlove (it wont be a diference but...) in RGB try to run the RUU from original EXE package id dont works is almost bricked.
Try to get a backup from another device fully functional following the steps indicated by Drug store on splash screen stucks solution DIY thread if dont works or you dont have a backup Minisd so try the MTTY...

Download Official k-jam stock rom from the below link and flash it in Bootloaders,recover back to default status and than proceed further:-

G4 devices cannot be CID unlocked like a G3 phones,in this situation only official stock rom will get flashed,it contains IPL/SPL for both the devices,it shud flash and work.Than after recovering back ,Apply 'HardSPL' to semi-CID unlock the phone and upgrade to any wm6 rom,don't use Shelltool,it sometimes creates problem.
I don't think Backup rom through minisd with MTTY will work in this situation, but than, thats me !
OK I got the official rom, but same problem RUU says it hasnt got a connection the phone is in tricol boot load at this time, I think the issue is how to get a comunication between the RUU and the wizard in in Tricol mode surely someone has an answer on this?

When you plug your device via usb in the pc port the dev shows USB bottom left on screen... ? Does the PC shows you "Unknown device, please intall the drivers... or has a bad function"?
The USB cable... maybe your battery is low.... maybe the USB PORT... i dont imagine anymore problems... Try to get a full batt.. other USB cable and other PC XP of course... and retry.

FIIIUUUUU!!! it seem that you have comm conection betwen the RUU and the device... but Wrong ID?
Download the file zabardast told you... it is from your carrier.
If this is the one u have tried...
so try another one... from Tmobile prodigy 2.26... or from qtek 9100 2.19 official Stock ROMS.

hmmm,ok,download this RUU attached and extract it, replace this RUU with the RUU in the official rom and run this RUU from the Rom,hope it'll flash.
Or,download the K-jam official stock rom from here :-

I tried all that and still not getting anywhere, constantly the same problem re connection I do get the found new hardware when trying different usb ports but the ruu complains " no connection" I cant seem to get what it did before in terms of getting further to the point where it told me invalid ID I will have to try another pc with xp but dont have one handy
