There closing schools now...

This is getting scary lol
I live in brownsville texas. right on the border to go to mexico and well its suprising how even on the news the mayor wanted to close the schools but the school board dint have to close them and they dint until today they posted on www.bisd.us that they would close until may 12 which sucks for some people because i wanna graduate already! or maybe it wont suck depending ..

You can't graduate if your sick or dead. Sometimes erring on the side of caution is the way to go. Look at the big picture, The hysteria will die down soon.

i live in Laredo and both of our school districts have closed until 05/18. what i don't understand is why? there have been no confirmed cases in the city, and the border patrol agent have found no infected people crossing from Mexico either.

I live in México and all this "flu" is more related to media to make people to have fear than the real epidemic
All is matter to be carefull but that´s it

there making a big deal.. i went to mexico yesterday which is REALLY close and i saw alot of people with the mask things but still the news are making a big deal.. when is really not..

first of all... all countries has its poor zones where the trash is all over the streets where the water is contaminated on mexico we dont have nuclear power stations so... what happend? i think none virus can live there even we all...
This is all about the fear to mexico... but its truth... the only thing you can fear to mexico... is... deport all mexican people back here... and then... the drug market will xpand to you all... not to just buy... to make it there or to kill inocents there... and we are afraid to live without USA, the kindless true.

however am curious.. if one is not given tamiflu etc for the swine flu, and instead given the standard flu treatment.. ie rest and parcetamol for the fever... will the body heal itself like as per normal flu?

But as you said this is off topic, just wanted to express my opinion. I live in México and I´m really sick of this mediatic euphoric flu...

As I said, it was more a mediatic than what real hapened here, we are all ok
I have never met anyone in my country that got the flu
It was an strategy from our goverment to use an emergency money....
Anyway, we are all ok, hope this thread at least helps to erase the bad image foreigners have from México regarding the flu.

being that swine flu have proven not to have a higher fatality
then normal flu
and a bit less infectious then normal flu
it's a bit like going "common cold is virtually everywhere.."

well i feel kind lonley because one of my friends have 3G and he its not too fan i want have more friends for example lattitude or something all are in facebook with stupid RIM its ok but common there is more than facebook,
i want use googles and several aplications as trapster, buzz based on locations and so on but few of my freinds has a good phone they think buy a expensive phone its useless and i love my N1 i dont regret. perhaps i feel like i cant do several things or use "custom" programs for androids devices
in fact i dont know someone with android even WM just few with BB from RIM and i they just use facebook..... well its frustrated lol

Deja vu!

I had a dream that we were planning to go to my aunts house, and then my aunt calls while I'm eating and on FaceBook, and tells us something that stops us from going. While my moms on the phone I tell my brother and sister that I think we're not gonna go. Then it turns out that we aren't going and they accuse my mom of playing them the whole time about going just to keep them busy.
Now the call came in, I was on FaceBook, eating a taco, and I remember this because some girl uploaded a picture to FaceBook and it's the very same picture I saw in my dream that I just saw now. I told my brother and sister that I thought we weren't gonna go, and they said they thought the same thing, but now it turns out that we are gonna go.
I still remember an experience when I was younger where I had a dream that some person was trying to help me put a Yu-Gi-Oh! Card in a card protector, and then a few days after, my friends sister was indeed helping me put a card into a card protector.
I've had many occurrences like this, none too extreme, but it is a little weird. Does anyone else get this, or am I psychic?

I get that a lot when I'm about 15 or so. Then it stopped for a while, and now I'm back to getting it. Sometimes it's weird but I tend to just make mental notes of it now. And I'll try to remember lottery numbers if they do come up

Damn, not to disclose personal information but I'm around the same age... It's not really a bad thing, if anything, it's a gift, and I need too harness it.
