Hey everybody I just got the sprint version of this phone about two weeks ago and was wondering what changes to the operating system I can make. I was wondering if all the ROMs will work with the Sprint Version.
Also If i can upgrade the ROM which is best and could someone please explain how to go about it, I tried to read the guides but was very confused.
I have a Sprint Diamond too, and although under Diamond ROM Development, there are some CDMA ROMs for the Diamond, I have found that there are more topics relating to our phones on forum.ppcgeeks.com.
This website is GSM centric, and the GSM ROMs that are posted here don't work on CDMA phones (i.e. 95% of the ROMs here don't work on CDMA phones).
Hey guys,
May sound like a stupid question but...............
How do I tell which Roms will work on a handset from the UK ie. GSM?
Cheers, Tom
Bump- Once I know this I will be buying the phone!
anyone?.... please?
most ROMs.
its usually the other way round, it will tell u if it is not GSM!
GSM ROMs: Dutty's, A7, DIB, Skippy... loads!
I usually go by the WWE ones. If its one of them then it will work. (I think!)
Hello..
I am gettign a good deal on a Sprint TP2 .... I am currently usign a Kaiser(Tilt) and love it... I am unlocking the Sprint TP2 so I can use it with a GSM providor.... I was wondering if someone can reccomend a hopefulyl unbranded Rom & radio combo that are known to work with this phone.. The gsm carrier I will be using is called Einstein PCS... But I think any one that works well for AT&T will be good for me as I roam i ntheir networks often.. I am not worried about the 3G speeds as my carrier doesn;t offer that, and I will usually just use Wifi anyways.. Thank you in advance...
Lately lots of people ask this question, but no one want to answer I think you must flash some Roms and choose the best in your opinion

Firstly, DO NOT flash a GSM ROM, or use any of the GSM unlockers. Head over to the Rhodium CMDA forum and use the tools there.
Secondly, just pick the ROM that you like the look of, there are some in the CDMA forum and a few more on PPCGeeks IIRC. It's not that hard, if you don't like the look of a ROM, change it, if you don't like any, put the stock ROM back on.

im on the regional carrier and i was jus wondering whether this cdma version of the diamond is restricted in anyway (for cooked roms and android port).
or will it work like any other diamond?
It does
It work just as all the rest. I have been using custom roms and the android ports
sweet. thanks
Hi everyone! My Diamond is running Radio version 1.12. My reception is horrible in my area, where it usually is not. I'm looking for a different radio to try out. I can't seem to find any CDMA radios for the Diamond anywhere. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Also, does anyone know of a good Cricket Rom for the Diamond?
Go to Google, type in Roms for cdma htc diamond, then click on the first link (pocketpcGeeks) once the link comes up notice in the top section cdma radios choose one.
Thanks! I'm usually pretty good at seeking out radios and roms, but the diamond doesn't seem to get as much attention as other CDMA phones.
