During a call, I'm experiencing a problem. When I talk into the Diamond, the opposing line becomes silent. I cannot hear what they're saying unless all sound on my line are silent. When they're talking, I can hear clearly. As soon as I talk, it's like they went on mute. It's basically like a walkie talkie going on. What's going on here and how do I prevent it? I want to be able to talk-over and hear at the same. Please help!

Anyone else had anything like this:
When the phone first boots up its perfectly fine, calls work both ways, it plays music no problem.
However leave it sitting on the side for 15-20 mins and then get a call, the phone receives it but makes no noise, answer call an the phone doesnt even sound like its picked it up it's just silent, can' hear person, they can't hear you. Same on outbound calls the phone is just dead i cant hear anything an receiver cant hear me. But the phone does no the call is connected as it rumbles when the person answers but i never hear the ringing before that.
Also once it is in this state, got to music on the phone and click play and there is no sound at all!
This has happened even after updating to newer official rom as well.
Any ideas???
Many Thanks
I am having exactly the same problem.... All sound from the phone just stops working, also the alarm, which means I can never trust my phone to wake me up in the mornings!
Another problem with the phone is that when the phone is called it takes a while for the phone to ring. I have tried to call my phone from a landline and it actually rings three times before the diamond makes a noise!
The latest Tweak 2k2 software solves the 3s ring delay problem...
Do you have a link for this?
Thanks

Some users here were also tweaking the registry, but i solved the problem this kind of way...
(Having your phone in vibration mode) Have you guys ever experienced the 5 sec mail notification vibrating in the middle of calls annoying both you and the caller??
The Japanese phones over here usually disable vibration notifications during phone conversations by default...I'm confused as to why the Diamond does not act the same way...
Has anyone else experienced the same? If so, is there a solution to this problem?
Was anyone able to figure this out? or I am the only have this issue

Nah.. i have this problem as well.. it gets pretty annoying when there's a constant buzzing while I'm trying to talk... lol...
A similar thing happens when an SMS is received while i'm on a call..
Unlike the other non-windows phones i've had where it might simply make a beep, my diamond actually plays the entire SMS ringtone from the speaker over the voice of the person who i'm talking to.... (I dont know if the other person actually hears it...)
hopefully someone has a solution to either of these problems....
Help.... Help....

Hi
Often this problem is happening the other end. I've noticed this issue on several phones not just the Diamond.
The problem can often happen if you are calling another mobile and they have their volume up loud. The Diamond seems to send quite a loud clear sound as I've had a few friends on mobiles say they were "turning me down" volume wise
Where the person you are calling has a mobile with the volume up loud, your voice arrives at their mobile, it is then sent out very loudly to their earpiece, and their phones own microphone picks it and transmits it back to you, so you hear an echo of your own voice. If others you are calling complain they hear their own voice echo, then turn your own volume down.
Some people have their mobiles so loud you can hear the other side of a conversation, and they are probably making themselves deaf in the process.
Try asking the person you call next time to turn down their earpiece volume, or you talk quieter and see if it stops.

or is it the network problem?

I doubt it is. It is all digital where would an echo get introduced?
The echo's I've heard are all produced by the person I'm calling with my voice so loud it is being picked up by their microphone and sent back to me with a delay added by the network and they just need to turn their volume down to resolve it. Tiny small phones and really load ear pieces are the cause as far as I've found.

I have a strange behavior when a call is accepted on the Z3C and wanted to ask if maybe others have this problem too.
If someone calls me, I pull the green button to the right and put the phone quickly at the ear and talk quickly, then my caller hears me after one second. Therefore he does not understand my name.
I manage myself so dasss I just keep the phone after accepting slowly leads to my ear, so that the caller understands me completely. This is obviously not a permanent solution.
The problem is even more extensive.
If I call someone, I can hear the called party also delayed, just tried.
Maybe someone else has the problem or a solution.
Problem yes, solution no
