This is a simple AOSP rom that I'm maintaining for myself and sharing with the community.
Perfect Android is built with the idea of being simple and stable for your Android device.
Based off of Android Open Source Project code, features and fixes are introduced with each build.
If you are looking for something that is more feature developed I would suggest BAMF, CyanogenMOD, AOKP, or ParaniodAndroid, that offers more.
Feature list:
- Full Google experience
- Chrome and AOSP browsers
- Odexed System and Frameworks
- "Clear all" button on recent apps
- Option to remove persistant search bar in Launcher
- Expanded Desktop
- Reboot menu
- Power menu Screenshot
- Long press back to kill app
- Volume Button music controls
- Volume Button wake
- Fully customizable Power menu options, which include option to add or remove items
Instructions:
First time flashing device, or coming from another ROM?
Download the zip(s).
Optional: adb backup
Fastboot oem unlock > fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.
Wipe data & cache partitions of your device (required when coming from stock!).
Flash ROM.
ROM: Link
G-Apps (included): At this time there are no "official" g-apps available so I've included what you get stock.
Root (optional): SuperSU v1.51
Source: Link
Follow the above link for the complete source to make your own changes or to completely debug down to the core of the rom also follow my github for detailed changes.
Always remember that XDA started out as a great place and will remain a great place as long as we are great to each other anything used in this ROM is available upon request and feel free to use this as a base rom for any other project.
WANT TO CUSTOMIZE THIS ROM READ THIS:
Want to add or remove anything or customize for yourself use DSIXDA's Kitchen. Its a great kitchen for customizing prebuilt ROMs.
Looks nice. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Jak!
I was sitting around waiting for your clean AOSP rom to drop. Never cease to amaze me.
(P.S. When did it become a necessity to post negative opinions...If people don't have something to offer don't post.)
Jak's been around since 2007 and been doing great stuff for a long time...a name is just a name for a ROM.
Awesome ! A new clean rom to play

Hello @jakdillard,
Your ROM looks good, gonna flash it later on. Thanks for sharing it with us.
What about Gapps? The official Gapps is packed my Google itself? I though those zips were community-made.
Any idea when they'll release it?
Thanks for sharing the ROM with us. Downloading it now.
Hi Jak
I can suggest something simple and useful?
Possibility to volumes (ring and notifications) to be unlinked and sound preferences.
Tks. :good:
@jakdillard,
I just flashed it, and it's a really nice ROM! The smoothest 4.3 I've tried.
Do you have any plans to add "Volume button wake" into this?
Thanks.
Thank you very much jakdillard!! I really appreciate a nice clean source built 4.3 ROM, and this looks "perfect" to me . I Also greatly appreciate all you're previous work. Thanks a bunch

Honestly I don't think I will be adding anymore mods to this, I really think I might just stick to the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Short and Simple) philosophy, and work on smoothing out the mods I already have.
Thanks to everybody for the positive words and encouragement it is really appreciated.
Will it work on my rooted Xolo Q800 if i flash it with CWM?

Don't do this. This ROM is for a Nexus 4 - you could flash it using clockwork but it would leave your phone non-functional until you flash a rom that is intended to be used with your device.
Similarly, filling your fuel-tank with custard is unlikely to enhance your car's performance.
Google just told me there's an xda thread with some firmware for your device here, though it's 4.2.1 rather than 4.3
I have tried all the ROM's available for my device... i was looking for something different...
Hi all,
I can't get the haptic feedback to work on the softkeys.
I use [ROM][CM10.1.6] - modded - [stable-20131221] - X-Mas release which has android 4.2.
Anyone know where I can enable this?
Thanks in advance!

Hi..
I haven't used Mardon's rom from a long time.. But I guess you can try this..
Settings >> Sound >> Vibrate on touch (Enable that option)

Sense 6 gallery
Would you be able to add an option to the Sense Rom that allow user to replace HTC gallery with Quickpic as the default gallery app that is also linked to the camera app? Maybe a zip that contains the modified camera.apk and Quickpic. Thanks for your time.

You can easily change the app yourself. Why so you want it in the ROM?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes, I can install Quickpic manually however I will not be able to go to Quickpic directly from the camera app.
I noticed in the op that with the asop version the author replaced Google gallery with Quickpic and was hoping that the same thing can be done in the sense version.
Once, again, thanks for your help.
The ROM is great , but I have found a few bugs. First , when I try to click on Notification Acces in Settings -- > Security I get an error along the lines : No application to handle that or something like that , and I cannot change what apps can see my notifications. This makes Pushbullet and my Smartwatch 2 useless.
Another thing I found is that HTC Backup does not work even after installing from the Playstore. I like the backup service a lot and it helps when I reflash a ROM , because I don't have to manually backup everything and it's automated. If possible , could you include it in a future version of your ROM?
Thanks
Hi, I just flashed the SENSE BAREBONE ALL LANG Version of the ROM using TWRP v2.6.3.3. But during first and all following boots, phone keeps crashing with "com.android.phone" has been closed (or something similar). Flashing using TWRP v2.8.0.2 did not work.
Anyone facing this issue too?
Flashing the AOKP Version using TWRP v2.8.0.2 working fine. Flashing using TWRP v2.6.3.3 did not work.
Mobile data - Disconnected because service is unavailable
Doesnt work for me.
Tried clean/dirty flash, redownloaded the ROM, but still my SIM-Card isnt detected nor does wifi work properly.
Reinstalled Beta (September) which fixed the problem. Mobile Network + Wifi working again.
HTC backup is not working. Can you look into this?

I'm having the same issues. I did a clean wipe, installed the ROM, and oddly everything meaning all of my data was still the same! My apps settings, etc.... Even after doing a full and manual wipe. That's not an ordeal though since all of the changes are present however.... No cell signal. When I look at APN's, it says APN's are not allowed for this user. Even when I try to manually create an APN, it won't accept it. I'm pretty sure that's why there's no service. I'm reverting back for now until we gain some more insight.

If you haven't already flashed back to something else, can you check to see if your IMEI and baseband version is populated? I have the same problem, did a clean wipe and installed it and no cell. I checked and my IMEI and baseband version are unknown. I tried flashing the radio with fastboot from the stock factory image and that didn't do anything.
How exactly do you unmount in TWRP?? I have been flashing a long time, can't remember this option location. I see mount, not unmount
Couldn't find any power button options.
OK don't want to sound like a total noob, but I'm 100% stock.
What is the process for installing this and go with no encryption.
I know I need to unlock the boot loader and install twrp.
Is there anything else besides flashing ROM while unmounted?

I'm running the Elix-R stock with not alterations, however I can't use Sweep to Sleep. I can do Sweep to Wake and Double-Tap to Wake. I have them enabled in Trickster, but is there something else I need to do, or is there a known issue?
My first time flashing custom rom on my nexus, have few questions just to make sure i don't brick my phone
How do I UNMOUNT THE SYSTEM PARTITION BEFORE INSTALLING? I'm using TWRP
My system is encrypted which kernal should i flash, do i need to flash kernal?
thanks
Has anyone been getting random reboots?

I would assume that the ROM was made for the Nexus 6. But flash it and see what happens on another device. I would recommend a nandroid just in case your phone crashes

i am sorry for this quesion...
is this rom better than aicp v10???
which one is better???
1-this rom
2-CM12.1
3-AICP V10
please Reason...
@eddieleon7pc
I don't know what's hard in this method...
1.Download and FLASH LolliViper.zip ->this will Install ViPER4Android
Download the Viper-Selinux Policy.zip(name of zip is similar to this
(tap the hyperlinked word flashable zip, shown in second PIC) -> gave description
See Pics, Links are already given
I could also run V4A in crDroid ROM by SIMPLY Flashing these two zips!
At the start it would ask for Driver Installation, Select ur choice, let it get installed, Reboot and u will have working V4A

I do not understand you. What do you mean with "LED tame shot"? If you mean LED, here's a list:
- Album, Music and Video LED don't work
- Charging LED works
- Alarm LED doesn't work (Only shows once shortly)
- Call LED doesn't work

It has the same touch response as Temasek, AICP and other ROMs. But it's OK.

There is no "best" ROM. Some like a minimalistic ROM, some like a heavy customizable ROM and there are many others. Personally I love this ROM more than others because I like the Sony UI. The best idea would be to test it out yourself, I recommend trying ArchXperia, AICP. I don't like CM, but you can try it too. I heard the official version would be very buggy.

It does not work my xperia SP.
