I bought an hp IPAQ 6500 in Dubai and I was told that in order to use GPS I have to run ROM update. Now everytime I try to update this message appears:

copy devicedata.txt to PC before opening it. Just showing one word is probably because it contains x'00'

I am a new Qtek 9100 owner. I am new to this kind of phone.
I have downloaded the RUU_Prodigy_2170702_21707102_217010_QTEK_WWE_Ship.exe
However, I connect the phone to my PC using USB and run the program. The phone halted (3 colors screen) and the PC host try to install new USB device. I need to unpack the battery to restart.
The program is running up to showing it will take 10 minutes to complete the installation.

And I'm having problems from the beginning.
I have tryed to update the radio and the rom
but There is always errors...
I have tryed to unlock the CID with the programa Lokiwiz02b but It doesn't seem to work.
My main problems are: I cannot receive via bluetooth (but I could do it before erasing the phone
I cannot connect to Wi-Fi networks.
I was having problems synchronizing with Outlook 2003.
I've been reading a lot in the forum, and I have tryed a lot of things.
Anyone could offer me any help?

I have yesterday tryed to Update my ROM version.
During the update my computer is crashed an i got the "Blue Screen of Dead"
So i have reinstalled My Windows on my PC.
But my PPC is now Crashed and have no "Radio", "Protocol" and no "ExtROM"
I cant reflash the ROM and/or the Radio.

BSOD when flashing.. Ouch.
IIRC, you should be able to still get into the boot loader. If you can do that, you can try flashing the ROM again.

What have i Do.
I had changed PC (From Vista to XP)
Try Update In the bootLoader.
When i had do that two things the updateing Process works Fine.

Good, and it's almost a 'of course' response since you got rid of vista.

All, need help quick as my phone needs to go into repair tomorrow (Vibration not working). I have followed the instructions to get original UK (Sim free) ROM back on and the original stock SPL.
Can someone confirm that I got the correct "stuff" on my phone before it goes to SE. I'm worried that I got some other ROM or version on there and they just end up rejecting it.
