Anyone try out the new Live Mesh yet? I just read about a few days back, so don't know how "new" it is, but it's still in beta.
But, after trying it, it is f'n sweet!!!
It's a web server, similar to Live Workspace, but you can upload any file you like. If you don't know what Live Workspace is, it's a web server used to exchange, edit, and upload Office documents.
With Mesh, you can upload anything you would like from your computer, then sync your device with the MOBILE APPLICATION !
You can upload from your device as well, and check them out later on your desktop. Not to mention, any files you load up from your desktop, that are synced to your device automatically get stored to your SD Card, which is kind of a downside, but it beats main memory.
Anyways, I've found it to be pretty cool, since I can quickly sync any file of my choice, from any computer, and have it on my Touch in a few seconds without cables or e-mail. All I have to do is login and upload, and I believe it's similar to Workspace in the sense you can share the "Desktop."
Check it yourself, it's of course FREE!
www.mesh.com
I have to throw in an update here! I link my Pictures folder, where photos from my camera are stored, I took two quick pics, and after just closing the camera and opening Mesh, they were starting to sync! I forgot to mention it's syncs like Windows Live, you can set manual, auto every xx minutes, or as your local folders are updated.
Needs to be running to sync, at least for the "push" type option, don't plan on trying the auto sync at all. Sits in memory @ 951kb.
It says Mobile Coming Soon. You have it working?
?Its work, already. but you need to have the sqlce 3.1 not the 2.0, or 3.0 or 3.5. specific 3.1, something almost no one have. ..
Yu can download to instal the sql 3.1, BUT change a system library just because one software.. NOOOOO
LOL!
Go here:

You'll see the link to download the .cab file.
downloaded the "fixed" cab from that blog, still getting a dependency error on install.
Can't wait for this service though. Very cool.

PocketPC Installer Professional
We've been using PocketPC Installer for many months now, and find it's a lifesaver.
They've recently released PocketPC Installer Professional (free to all existing users?) which adds a funkier UI and Smartphone/WinCE compatibility.
It's also got a much better desktop installer interface. When our desktop-based installer files now deploy to a device, they can actually look to see which .cab files are already installed and - crucially - which version of .Net CF is already installed on the device. It'll then only copy our version of the .cab and install it if it's more up-to-date. This saves a huge amount of time when we're deploying our set of .cab/data files to numerous devices.

It also creates a PDA installer file, so for our mobile users, we can just put this installer file on a memory card and let them install everything themselves, simply by inserting the card into their device. And you have no idea how many support calls this has saved (why can't salesmen learn how to install .cab files on devices that they're meant to be demonstrating on, day after day ?!
All in all, the $75 pricetag has paid for itself many times over.
Hi All,
Been kinda scarce around here lately, since I was checking in today to see what's happening i thought I would share some stuff I put together. The tsk is based off a wallpaper I found at deviant art I think it was from Ken Saunders from mouserunner, The images in the icons i just picked up off the web and tweaked them to suit my needs.
I know everybody is going to manilla 2d but personally I'm going to wait till all the bugs are worked out by the genius's around here before i switch.
Enjoy

What's the name of the program that's at the very bottom of your phone. I like it. It looks like a continuation of the HTC home plugin.
Do you know if you can customize those shortcuts or anything of the sort?
its battery status (now home screen plus plus ), and yes you can pretty much do anything with it if you can set up an xml file.
can these be loaded with HHC (HTC Home Customizer)?
sure, just drop the file in the correct folders in program files, htc home customizer, and then choose whatever you would like.
OK, thanks.
btw i get an app execution error about a missing file from HHV V1.0Final so I will have to revert to 0.8 i guess
hmmm, I have v1.0 and it seems to work just fine on my device, I actually copied the files right off my phone , zipped em up and posted , let me know if there is anymore trouble.
great stuff, thanks
could you remind me of the name of the lower icon bar today plugin ?
thanks,
battery status/ homee screen plus plus, your welcome im glad you like it

use htc home customizer, I tried to upload it but somethings not working, you'll find it if you do a search.Install it then find the files folder in the program and drop the icons in the icon folder, you can then open up hhc and choose the icons. Hope that helps

HandleSpy runs in a little movable window and is forced to run on top.
All programs run/exit without a problem while it runs!

note0: Obtaind before CompuServe gave us their GUI and from which the OSI deployed www then win95 came with Explorer-IE-Explorer GUI
Test 4 every WinOS: goto my Computer cq Explorer (not IE) and remove c:\* (current drive path) and replace it with a known url Guess what? ... Bwhahahaa; internet access for Win7 Barebone Edition! And *oops* on most if not all WinOS..
-- Of course it is best to log in with a Guest account (created by you the Admin) with limited internet access to only download a nice browser like Opera or Firefox, while using this dangerous 'tweak'. *cough* Plus it comes in handy when IE broke down during an live update and refuses to work. But,.. it's not my recommendation for obvious reasons!
note1: Used since/on win95 ~ABC, Win98 ~SE and WinXP flawlessly!
note1b: not tested; Vista / Windows7 (please let me know so I can include it in this post after an edit TIA).
note2: A tool from my kitchen. Now a share here on forum.XDA-developers.com Please distribute, as its been freeware from day one. Though I never shared it B4
note3: HandleSpy is nice to use in combination with (tools more powerfull than) ResHacker.
note4: It has no network awareness and no polymorphic AI eighter Its WYSIWYG though.
Have fun,
Senax
Where is the installer?
It went into the void of C/P darkness and was temporarily lost, luckily it's beacon was working so I could retrieve it with a tractor beam. Attached now
I take no credit for this, I'm just spreading the love.

Where are you supposed to find the IP of the device?
Just for Windows I see but that's cool I'm going to put it on my girls computer to helP her do some stuff more easily. I wish I knew how to break down components that make up .exe's and recompile them for LINUX.that is along the lines of the types of fun stuff I'm striving to learn in my LINUX journey.

I'd like to know what ip you want too... because it definitely didn't want the LAN address of my phone.
The UI is deceptive. You don't need to click the connect to button (and I'm not sure it even works properly). Just click on the Android (like you would when you setup the phone) and it will extend the UI and open up the options. They work and they are pretty useful. I think if the guy wrote up a nice little how to I'd probably kick him a few bucks.
!!!
This is actually a phenomenal package, and works great w/ the Bionic. Thank you for posting this, didn't expect this in the dev section and glad I found it.
BBC Mobile Site (not the applicable) does not load pictures on the front page.
http://m.bbc.co.uk/news
I tried using WP7 and WP8 both but the mobile version of Internet Explorer 9 or 10... will not load pics on the left side of the front page.
Steps to reproduce
1)Get a WP7 or WP8 device
2)Open Internet Explorer
3)Goto http://m.bbc.co.uk/news
4)Notice how the pictures do not show up on the left side, especially after the first headline.
I confirmed this on
WP7 - Samsung Focus Flash
WP8 - Nokia Lumia 810
Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
So no one is able to reproduce this?

With which phone/browser?
Works for me HTC Titan WP 7.8 Internet Explorer.
Doesn't work for me on a HTC 8X. The formatting is all wrong also.
I gave Nokia Xpress Browser a try and i work fine for me, with loading all of the images.

It even works fine in the WP8 emulator...
As wpcentral postet:
Internet Explorer improvements. You can now change your settings to prevent pictures from downloading automatically—an easy way to help keep data usage low. You can also delete selected sites from your browsing history and leave the rest intact.
it also could be a wished feature, but i could find an option to activate/deactivate that option.
