There was a program I used on the tilt called: Dr. Puttingham Samsung Time.
Pretty much displayed a line on the today screen with a date on the left and a graphical time on the right. Looked neat. Anyways, I think with VGA, it messed up the date on the left and the clock is really small now.
Does anybody know where I can find an update to this program of a good site to look for freeware stuff for a VGA phone?

Hi All,
I recently flashed my ROM to Pug's modified verion 1.11.162 (GREAT job Pug!!! ) and then manually removed the O2 stuff (keeping the theme only as I find it nice and simple and clean...)
I then using a registry editor removed the time from the top menu bar as I don't like that being too cluttered, however... I could swear that where it shows the date before I flashed the ROM it showed the time as well, now it just shows the date and I can't figure out how to get this to show the time as well...
Any ideas much appreciated?

I don't know, but on my magician WM2003 SE, it only shown like above picture. No time on it.

Not with the default date. But you can get it on the taskbar above.
But google for "date time today plugin" or whatever....
Just realised... probably was using the o2 date/time today plugin rather than the standard date plugin - does anyone know how to install just that 1 plugin rather than all the crud?
using Tweak2k2 you can change the time as you want also can add AM/PM at the top clock. checkout pics below

When I have multiple appointments on my Today screen, it shows a maximum of two, and if I have more than two coming up (say, tomorrow) but I'm still on today's appointment, it will show the first appointment for tomorrow and then as soon as my current appointment is finished, it'll update to show both of tomorrow's...

Yes - exactly - I want display more than two - say 3 or 4 - there must be a way to it since plug-ins can display?
Does PPC work the same way as Smartphone? ie - XML for the homescreens?
To achieve this, you'll need a Today plugin which offers this kind of functionality... The first that springs to mind has got to be Pocket Breeze ( http://www.sbsh.net/products/pocketbreeze/ ) - I don't use it myself, but I think I may try it out sometime soon (saw it a while back, noted it, but never got round to trying it out).
Or if you're either a dab hand at programming (or know someone who's fearless enough to undertake some) then you could always try writing your own Today screen plugin...

Hmmm....not sure about Pocket Breeze thing - it's a bit much for just one function! And I like a nice clean Today screen - PB just make it look "busy".

I've had a good search around these forums and although there are plenty of today plugins for 'time' and 'date' functions, nothing seems to cater for this...
Am I the only one to be so pedantic as to want to have the DAY showing?
I think the date format is "hardcoded" in the DLL...

I think you're right. I seem to recall that when WM5 was launched it lacked showing the 'day' then a ROM upgrade later, seem to sort it out.
Wish I was a Programmer...

Hi! Thanks a lot - that's great - I added the registry tweak and the day *is* now appearing on the Today screen.
I have a question. Is It possible for someone to make a program that will automaticaly switch the today screen programs that are displayed. Sort of a Work set up and an enertainment or night setup.
during the day I have a big clock and the Today Adgenda that takes up my whole screen for work. I have other today screen programs and wall papers installed, but I have to manualy change the setup back to what i need everyday for work. There are great today screen wallpapers and apps. and I JUST WANT to be able to use some of them..
AM i Being vain and just wanting a flashy Today screen? Hell Yes

My Tilt died under warranty and they gave me a new one. I love to keep a picture of my boys on the screen but hate the background pictures. When I first got my tilt I somehow figured out how to include a picture plugin in the foreground on the today screen items. I could kept a picture under the date and calender items.
For the life of me I cannot remember how I did it. I thought maybe I just copied everything on the registry exactly from an old treo 750 I have which had the option programed in when I bought it. It did not work. Maybe because I could not copy the plugins (DLL files) from the windows folder. Beside the set up on the window folder seems to be different.
Does anybody know how I can include a picture in the today items? A software solution prehaps?

But in the background it is hard to see the the other today items because of the difference in brightness in most pictures. I am looking for a today item which I can include a picture where the other today items are above or below the picture.
What you are looking for is TodayImage. It is a Today plugin which alllows you to display one or more images.
Here are two cabs I have but I am not sure which one is the correct one. Its trial and error. I haven't used this in a long time.
Please let me know if this is what you are looking for.
There is also TodayGif which allows you to display an animated gif as a plugin on the Today screen also.

Thank you very much. for the plugins. They didn't work well but the thought is appreciated.
I tired the todayimage but it didn't do a good job of fitting the picture on the screen. Then I tried todaygif, when I tried to add a new gif file it lockup and would not boot up agian. So I had to do a hard reset.
Anyone else know of another solution or plugin?
I think I might have figured out a way
I looked at my old palm treo and it has a plugin call Picture plugin. I think if I could get that on to my tilt I make the files in the registry to call it up.
When I try to copy that file off my treo it tells me
"Executable and resource file in ROM cannot be copied"
Is there another way to get that file onto my tilt?
