Hi
We run a apps on our xdas in work and that apps use the xda BT to connect to a BT GPS. Now - The problem is that when the XDA is connected using BT to the GPS it is working correctly but when the xda and BT GPS connection is out of range for a long while (say about 45mins) we sometimes see the xda turning off BT without and warning etc..
We never want BT to turn off on the xda. Any suggestions pleasE?
Thanks

hi, I have an O2 XDA IIi and have a Qstarz BT-Q880 bluetooth GPS receiver. I can connect the XDA to the device but it only shows in the outgoing connections (and not the incomming connections) in the Bluetooth active connections manager on the XDA, is this correct?
Also the connection is disconnected after a couple of minutes, is this normal and if so how do I get it to stay on?
The reason I ask is because I cannot get my Tomtom 5 software to find the bluetooth GPS receiver.
Is it a faulty receiver or is my XDA faulty or could they just be incompatible with each other or Tomtom.
Thanks in advance for any help offered.
Hi,
Try this thread first http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=40023 hopefully it should sort your problem out.
Hi,
looking for some help. I have my sgs paired with the stereo in my car and they connect no problem. However, it automatically activates the PHONE bt profile and the MEDIA bt profile. I don't want the media profile active. So each time, I have to wait for them to connect, then go thought a few levels of system menus to find the bt pairing to the car and then turn of the media profile.
Anyone know how to make the change persistent?
My setup:
i9000m
Froyo 2.2 (ugjl2)

Hi,
With my previous android phone I was able to switch on bluetooth and it would automatically connect to the bluetooth hands free of my car, but with this phone i have to go in settings and click on the hands free, which is annoying.
Anyone having similar issues and solutions?
Thanks
No sir mine connects automatically once it paired to my car stereo. Maybe you need to delete your old phone from the stereo settings. I believe it only stores up to 2 devices simultaneously from its memory. Try it.

I generally don't need my gear to be a Bluetooth headset . Is there any way to keep the Bluetooth connection open without it acting as though it is a Bluetooth headset? I've tried disabling phone audio in Bluetooth settings but that just closed the connection. Has anyone dealt with this?

the first time you synced your GG to your Note, did you do it using the cradle and follow the instructions ?
or you paired via settings ( from you Note ) and scanning for new devices?, <---- this way always makes my galaxy s4 think my GG is a bt headset
Hello everybody,
I hope this doesn't repeat an answered question.
I have a well maintained p880 (stock JB, rooted, frequently factory-restored).
I tried to connect to a bluetooth audio receiver. Connection is easy but the sound breaks very frequently. This is clearly not the receiver's fault because sound transmission from an iPhone or a laptop is perfect.
I have no reference to the phone's bluetooth capacities because it's the first time in 2 years that I try to use it.
EDIT: I just found out that turning off wifi solves the problem. This, however, is not really a solution.
Does anybody have any experience with it? Is there a way to improve bluetooth performance?
Thanks!
Im on Beanstalk and the Bluetooth connection with a car radio does break as well very often (about every 20 secs), WiFi is turned off always. Maybe it's the Bluetooth chip itself that has such bad connection.
