Is it possible to replace the front cover without disassembling the whole phone?

I know that the quality of the camera is not the best in to world but until recently the quality was usable for notes and quick snaps.
My tilt is only 2 months old and on close inspection the clear window on the battery cover has become scratched.
Is there a good method of buffing out the scratches or a source of replacement windows??
If I remove the battery cover, I can take nice clear photos. The same thing has happened to my wife's N95
u can puncture out the panel, but i wouldn't recommend it due to risk of scratching the lens. It may be tedious to buffing out the panel so its best to just buy another back cover.
Here's what I did...
1. Remove the back battery cover.
2. While holding the silver ring/speaker cover in place, carefully push out the lens glass from the inside of the battery cover.
(The lens glass is just glued in so it isn't hard to push out)
3. Try to buff out/clean the lens glass and replace it with a dab of glue.
(I left mine off completely since it greatly improves picture & vid quality)
4. Replace the back battery cover.
(If you can't fix the scratch, you may have to buy a whole new back battery cover--I haven't found anyone who just sells the lens glass)
They're about $20 all over eBay and here...http://cnn.cn/shop/tytn-iitilt-black-battery-cover-p-3157.html

Guys my phone's faceplate is damaged... one of the corner is scratched , even though its metal.
My phone is under warranty.
Can any one recommend me what to do?
Like should i go to a LG service center or is there an alternative way to buy it any where online in India.
Please provide a link for the latter
Yeah, i have the similar problem but i just use a CASE to hide the SCRATCHES,
You should try it.
I don't understand what you mean, the only metal on the phone is the back where it says "With GOOGLE". The silver side surround is plastic.
It is possible to replace the screen surrounding plate (its plastic with metal effect) without replacing the digitizer? I found that they are offered as s single part.

You can, but the bezel is stick to the digitizer using 3M adhensive, and is very hard to remove... (I disassembled the unit before, to replace my LCD and the digitizer, and the frame)

Hello guys, I'm french so sorry for my english.
I would like to change the front camera lens cover (plastic), because there's dust stuck on it, and it's impossible to remove it because when I changed the top cover speaker grill, i did the mistake to put glue on it, now i can't take selfie anymore because the plastic is full of glue.
So I would like to find a website, to buy one front camera lens cover, I'm thinking of cutting a screen cover protection in circle to fit.
Can you help me please ? Thank you so much.
Hi everyone, my Z3c has a scratched camera cover, I can no longer take pictures as everything looks blurry. I've read that I can buy a replacement for the cover, but my question is if to do this, I also need to change the backcover.
Yes, You need to change whole back door cause camera glass lens in glued to back door and if You gonna try to peel it off most likely back door will breaks. Anyway back door replacement costs 5$ and original one around 20$.
The camera lens is cracked. I can buy just the glass or glass and frame (bezel). I have found a video on how to replace just the glass but there isn't any info around on replacing the complete unit. It looks like some heat and a razor might lift it off the back cover, but I dont know if there is any other attachment holding it in place from the inside. Can anyone clarify this for me?
Probably just double sided adhesive tape. Isopropyl alcohol and maybe some heat to lift it if anything is needed at all.
Get the OEM replacement to preserve the optical qualities. Or just buy a rear cover if that's included. The price is usually cheap.
You'll want the pre-cut adhesive mounting if you replace just the glass to preserve it's sealing.
